Kids at school, husband’s a nice guy and has afairly good job. No mortgage (he inherited a big house in posh area) I have 2 single friends who have a great time clubbing etc. and I want that, not boring mum.

I'm coming with a heavy hand but do you always have one night stands when you're clubbing ?

How a family makes you boring ....

Are you after endless shags

Presuming that you don't actually want to walk out on your kids over this, what's stopping you joining your friends on those nights out?

DriveMeCrazy1974 · 21/08/2025 16:41

I get that it's boring, I regularly have days where I cry at the dullness of doing yet another load of washing, but, honestly, it's just a fact of life! I think you'd regret walking away when, in a few year's time, your friends are no longer going out clubbing because they've got children, or other responsibilities.
Can you not go out with your friends whilst your husband looks after the children for a night? I used to do that all the time -mind you, I'm 51 now and those days are long behind me - eventually, it becomes a bit dull and not so much fun! I think I've kind of grown out of it!

Why can’t you go clubbing with your Friends and still be a decent mum? Does it have to be all or nothing? However if you really want to up and leave your small kids and husband then that’s your choice, plenty people do it.

MamaElephantMama · 21/08/2025 16:39

You’re incredibly lucky but you should still be able to have fun while being a mum.

Londonrach1 · 21/08/2025 16:38

Do you work. Sounds like you looking for more of a challenge and work could give that.

outingouting · 21/08/2025 16:38

Can’t you go clubbing now with your husband looking after the kids?

im a single mum and it is so expensive to survive. I’ve no money for clubbing.

Lafufufu · 21/08/2025 16:37

Weird post but assuming good intent....

geniune question... what's stopping you going clubbing a couple of tomes a week?

Surely your DH can put the kids to bed and you can join them for a few drinks and go clubbing until 2 or so...

MidnightPatrol · 21/08/2025 16:36

Why can’t you still go out clubbing with your single friends and have other hobbies and interests outside of your family?

Do you work OP?
