To be sick of the royal propaganda the UK is fed?

I know most people don’t give a damn about the Windsors any more .

However , in a week when we learn about Philip’s affairs - notably with Sarah Ferguson’s mother ( all covered up of course like the rest of their debachery) we are now expected to swallow the line that William and Kate’s next mansion is ‘paid for by William and Kate themselves ‘

No . That’s not the complete truth .Every penny the Windsors have , they have taken from the people . We now know William and Charles make millions from public services like the NHS schools and charities . We only know about this as a result of dogged journalistic digging . And most of the mainstream media barely covered the scandal .

There are many threads here about how the UK is in steep decline and how people are suffering . Yet the royals are taking in half a billion a year and charging charities on top !

At least admit to us that all their money is stolen from us ?

Oh and if you haven’t heard the queen knew all about Andrew pocketing money via ‘pitch at the palace’

She was told repeatedly by officials . She did nothing
Can we have some facts please ?
The Windsors are a total facade - they are all like Andrew - he’s just the latest fall guy .

I care too

And frankly those proudly saying they ‘don’t care’ should be ashamed of themselves.

We know about Mountbatten, Charles and Saville and Ball , Andrew and Epstein , etc
Do they not care about all abuse or is it just the Windsors that they choose to turn a blind eye to ?

Edited

They are just saying they don't care for human rights and if their leaders are pedophiles. What is says of the people of the country, their kinds can rape and kill and they don't care because they are peaseants? Which is bizarre because they are peasants too. Thankfully most aren't like that, but it's a shameful behaviour

Prince Andrew's relationship with the late Ms. Guiffre was when she was 17yrs old. The age of consent was 16 yrs old.

Perhaps you should think about emigrating?

Legally she could not consent freely as she was coerceď, as with trafficked victims. So the age of consent is immaterial, people can be much older, it's the issue of consent that's key in this case.

Well who would cut all those ribbons if we didn’t have them. The country would come to a standstill !

And they have to attend the Royal Variety Show once a year. Give them some credit, who else would put up with that?

@PoppingbyThanks for your post

No - this is all fact
Andrew Lownie - a respected writer who spent his own inheritance trying to access hidden facts about Mountbatten ( dear uncle dickie to the Windsors - Mountbatten was a pedophile who abused boys in care homes )
has written a bio of Andrew .
Philips affairs is the least of it

I am always rather frustrated by how the Royal Family count as working and are praised enthusiastically for turning up to events the rest of us would love to have the chance to attend - eg Wimbledon, football finals etc. I wish I could do that and count it as a days work.

Well who would cut all those ribbons if we didn’t have them. The country would come to a standstill !

I don’t care

Your prerogative but that's exactly the way the corrupt Windsors want and like it.

Personally I do.

Ukisgaslit · 29/09/2025 18:23

‘It’s all too difficult to do anything about the Windsors’
I see this argument from time to time and it proves that the poster knows there’s no defence of the current system.
There need be no upheaval
Let’s start with removing the nonsense that Windsors are above the law , have them pay their dues re taxes , and have MPs , police etc swear allegiance to the people not bloody Charles

Mind you , with the utter uselessness of William , the whole con is crumbling anyway .

Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

The UK is now such that if we introduced a Presidential system, we wouldn’t end up with a moderate sensible leader. We would have President Farage. Would you really want that? I’m pleased we have some separation of powers and it isn’t all concentrated into 1 person. I think you’ll thank your lucky stars for this in 10-15 years.

Secondly the Monarchy are extremely useful for soft power. We have kept a courteous and mutually beneficial relationship with Trump as royalty and its mystique is something he greatly admires and he knows to have a glimpse into the royal circles he needs to stay cordial with us. It’s been incredibly useful lately.

Yes; we could shut down all the Palaces and turn them into flats for the homeless to inevitably be trashed and have windows broken. We could turn them into soulless offices, and sell priceless works of art to throw more money into our public services black hole. We could cancel all the royal celebrations and sack off the garden parties. But to me, life would be a bit boring and bleak without history, tradition and a bit of ceremony and pomp now and then. I want us to be a country that flaunts its rich history and soft power, and those who don’t want to take part don’t have to.

I don’t really care who the royals are as such (I wouldn’t accept a criminal or bigot on the throne, but Charles is ok), but Brexit has left me with zero appetite for any more constitutional change.

What we have now is very very far from ‘good’
What we have now is Windsor corruption and abuse which is above the law and held there by our medieval system
We have pedophiles and sex offenders as members of our so-called royal family . Never mind the financial greed
Posters above fearing ‘president Farage’ are just ill informed .
If we have a president , they would have no power
As it is we have Andrew grinning and prancing and above the law and Charles not lifting a finger lest Andrew finally tells all about the rest of them

Both of you are wrong
It’s all detailed in a recently published book
‘Entitled’ by Andrew Lownie
I take it you haven’t heard of it ?

It describes the abuses ( of all kinds ) carried out by Andrew Windsor . Covered up and ignored by his mother and continued to be so by Charles and no doubt William .

Despite all the indisputable evidence, some people will never believe that the Royals are anything other than perfect

No reason parades, pomp and ceremony can't take place without royal input.

Other countries manage it. See Bastille Day as an example.

and those who don’t want to take part don’t have to

We have to pay for them,

Charles is ok

The crim adjacent Charles accepting carriers of cash and knowing nothing about the fencing of royal gifts?

That the Charles you mean?

I don’t really care who the royals are as such

Andrew AOK then.

Phew.

I don’t care. If that makes me a bad person fine, but I just don’t care. I don’t want more constitutional reform which costs a fortune and has a very underwhelming end result. I don’t want the public who actually enjoy these things to be deprived of it. We’ve been through so much as a country over the last 15 years, anything that keeps some continuation and stability is welcome to me. I used to be a paid up (literally) republican, but no more.

I’m guessing we’d have to replace them with something. I assumed that if they were abolished you’d have to replace with republican system, such as a president.

Why?

Shouldn't you be discussing the subject instead of the people?

I see truths about this morally blurred (being polite) institution emerging and more people realising how it's been taking the nation for mugs for decades if not centuries.

Well I absolutely love the “royal propaganda “, as OP calls it.

I enjoy having a RF, am happy for them to have a fiver off me each year and consider it great value for all the parades and pretty horses we get for just over the price of a posh coffee.

OP - lighten up a don’t be so negative. Of all the things to start frothing about in these extremely worrying times! Have you seen the news recently?

I am glad you can afford a posh coffee, as many in this country can't. I have no intention of 'lightening up' about the flagrant abuse of the RF. It is possible to care about more than one thing at once you know. I agree these are worrying times and the RF are absolutely no help & support.....just continue to be the absolute drain on the public & its purse that they always have been.

Their response to difficult times? Buy a big house during a cost of living crisis.
