My DH ex girlfriend (who he has children with) moved some cocklodger in and my stepchildren kept on saying how horrible he was. I brushed it off as the kids just having loyalty to their dad as they are very close to my DH and myself UNTIL one day I popped by to drop a surprise off for the kids and while I knocked on the front door I could hear him screaming calling the kids ungrateful cunts and then opened the door all smiles to me. I was so damn angry but kept my cool.

I made a plan with one of my friends to take her car down to his car garage and flirt with him and try and get him to go on a date with her. She did. The dirty abusive “man” was happy to cheat on the woman who was letting him live in her house for free and treating my step children like crap. My friend took video recordings and pictures of their date and sent them to my DH Ex. Needless to say she was heartbroken but she did kick his butt to the curb and the kids are so much happier that he has gone

edit for spelling and to add the ex has no idea it was a set up

Oh wow you are the kind of friend I want OP. That is superb.

I quit my job 6 months ago, but I haven't told a soul. I had a lot of stressful changes in my life, and I just couldn't cope with it any longer because my boss was quite temperamental and unpredictable. I just quit one day after working out that financially I could afford to retire a little earlier than planned, or that I could afford to take a year out now, and find a new job next year.

I haven't told my kids, or friends, or even my partner. I wfh on my laptop, so nobody really sees me work etc, but I just don't want to have to justify it and explain myself to people. When I'm speaking to people and they ask what I do, I just pretend I'm still doing it (whilst smiling on the inside)! I've managed for this long without telling, that I'm starting to wonder if and when I should tell anybody at all. it feels like a nice secret!

Not really juicy gossip as such but my future son in law is planning to ask my dd to marry him….he has the ring but we have no idea when it’ll be so we are on tenterhooks for the foreseeable 😂

Squeee! Me too. On tenterhooks, I keep checking my phone as I think they’ll call. He’s asked her siblings, DH and me, the grannys…

Uni friend had a promiscuous phase while working abroad after graduating. She was very quiet and studious, had only had one previous boyfriend, the last person you would expect to have a wild phase. Several celebrities were involved in this man-eating period.

Meanwhile I was stuck in a small English town...

Bloody good for her. I’d have been much more sexually active if I’d had the chance and been more confident.

You are a perfect wife. I hope he appreciates you.

Got a feeling @simonjt is not a perfect wife but a perfect husband: but what a brilliant thing to do. This is what lasting marriages are made of.

fruitybathbomb · 15/08/2025 23:05

A colleague who is currently on maternity leave’s husband has been sleeping with a friend of mine. The husband had presented himself as a single, childless man and my friend was heartbroken when she showed me pictures of her new boyfriend and I explained how I knew him (she has obviously ended it)

I’m unsure whether to tell my colleague as she started her relationship with her husband fully aware that he was married with a 6 month old baby. The husband is also a colleague and I can barely look at him.

My ex's father died recently & ex thinks his stepmother may have murdered him. If she did, she's got away with it completely.

(This would never have occurred to me, and 99% chance it's bollocks subconsciously designed to justify ex's feelings about her & about inheriting the money she brought to the marriage. But he was abusive to all his kids and all his wives, so a tiny part of me wonders...)

How old are the couple? Bewildered what the young girl gets from this.

She’ll be earning £££. My bil sister ran her own ‘kinky cleaning’ business - never had sex or anything, simply cleaned the house whilst in her underwear and the bloke watched 😳 She made a fortune

So… a guy was telling me his unfortunate adventures after his divorce with dating. How he felt lonely etc. The divorce seemed quite amicable and I even suggested that maybe they should get back together with his ex wife, as he said at first that they divorced because the spark was gone and they weren’t attracted to each other anymore. I knew both of them and I always thought they match. I suggested maybe they could still work on their issues.
He then proceeded to tell me that things weren’t as good as they looked, the marriage was truly toxic and he wasn’t going to to bash his wife and said a few things she did who hurt him but also and also a few of the mistakes he had done. One of them was an affair with a married woman named X (rare name) who was originally from Y country (small country with not too many around from there) and that he got really invested with that affair. The cheated husband went after him, it was full on drama and then they stopped. I remember asking oh wow he took her back? And he said “yes” and that she actually had lots of time as she was child free then.
We live in an area that I have met lots of mums and friends and when I met X (a rare name) who originally comes from same Y country around the park at first I didn't connected the dots. We became mum friends and I really like her. I’m 99% she's the lady the guy was talking about to me , really his style, slim body/sexy face. The year she had her child also suits the hypothesis, as she would have been child free around the time the acquaintance had the affair. I would never tell her even that I know said man especially since that divorced man went after me too 😅
The guy still walks his dog around the same big park I meet very occasionally my friend but it never happened to be with her when I see him. I also avoid him like the plague, he found love though which is similar to my friend and me, slim build. The guy clearly had a particular type and also he didn’t stop even if the woman was married or in relationship.
moral of the story: no affairs with silly guys who don’t keep their mouth shut 😅. I’m a a nice person and I wouldn’t even mention to my partner or my best friend what I highly suspect about this other friend had happened prior to meet her.

Not gossip, but it’s my husbands birthday this month, he’s desperate for my chemical romance tickets but he didn’t manage to get any. He thought I was at work this morning, I wasn’t, I was securing two hospitality tickets for him :)

You are a perfect wife. I hope he appreciates you.

Choclabratwatowner88 · 15/08/2025 22:52

Also my half sisters dad has a whole other family, he never claimed my sister because after he’d slept with my mum ( I think she was having a midlife crisis because this guy was an absolute melt, we’d know him for years) he went back to his ex. They went on to have another 2 kids. To this day I still don’t think she knows about my sister. Nor do the kids. They aren’t together anymore, haven’t been for years. My sister knows about her siblings but wants nothing to do with them. I’ve wanted to stir some shit up years ago but I couldn’t be bothered.

How do so many married men get women to sleep with them? It's a mystery to me.

And here I am single when so many people have 2 relationships at the same time! Life is unfair...

My DH is convinced his Dad had an affair.

My son’s best mate’s long-term girlfriend made a pass at my DS. His mate’s mum is also a very close friend of mine, so I feel a bit awkward knowing this! They are (very) young adults though, so no big deal I guess.

more my own secrets rather than gossip- have had Botox twice (no-one noticed 😂) . Also have had a huge crush on a mutual friend of mine and DHs for years. He drunkenly indicated to me that he feels the same but neither of us are silly enough to risk our marriages by acting on it.

How do you know noone noticed but just didn't say anything because they didn't want to be rude? I notice plenty of things i don't mention.

Choclabratwatowner88 · 15/08/2025 22:47

An ex best friend of mine (male) lets call him Sam (whom I dated) had sex with my other male best friend let’s call him George . Sam doesn’t know I know, I knew he was a version of a boy slag, but he’s always maintained he’s a ladies man and nothing but straight. It could ruin his whole reputation by me telling just one mutual friend. I won’t of course, I’ve kept it secret for the last 13 years. George is now happily married to his husband but back when this happened George was still claiming he was straight.

My mum told me she tried to abort my sister as she only wanted 3 kids.

Sister is no 5 and I'm no. 6.

Sister worships mum and has no idea.

She won't be the only one done that. I've heard of two similar tales.

Flightyandmighty · 15/08/2025 22:41

My ex and I have children and were married for a long time. He was a controlling arse. He met a new girlfriend who has been a complete pain in the arse towards me. I feel he has literally met his match as controlling as each other. He was all smug gf had been nominated for a business award a few years running this time they were told she had won. He went on about booking a hotel hiring outfits. How she was planning her speech etc. So they went to all that effort and she didn’t friggin win. Karma is a bitch. The best bit was my teenagers reaction I found out due to dc laughing but you went to all that effort! What goes around comes around…

Megapint · 15/08/2025 21:54

@UnhappyHobbit- That would be a really awful thing to do to the husband. His only 'crime' is trying to keep his family together, he doesn't deserve that at all.

I get what you’re saying, but it’s not his only crime. He’s a complete ass and has recently been investigated for fraud. They’re both a pair of nasty narcs and I’m sure his pride is hurting.

Testerical · 15/08/2025 22:36

@PinkBird89 bloody hell!

Dippythedino · 15/08/2025 22:35

I was at an in-laws house warming party a few years ago. I needed the loo so the hostess let me use her en-suite as the main bathroom was in use.

When i came out of the en-suite I saw the hostess snogging one of the party guests, who was a friend of her husband.
I quickly went back into the bathroom, turned the taps on, made a bit of noise & then came out. By this point, the hostess was folding towels on the bed & the guest had gone downstairs.

A couple of months later, dh announced that his cousin's wife had left him & he didn't know why. It then came out that she had been shagging the party guest for a while & had moved in with him. It caused a few waves as they both came from very conservative backgrounds.

Jaggy1 · 15/08/2025 22:35

Also, we’re waiting on my DP’s wages being sorted for a few months through the family business to wait and be able to get a mortgage. We have a 1 year old in a 2 bed flat & are over run with toys & want more kids.
My MIL owns the flat & is waiting for us to move to sell it, split up with her partner and move back home. She moved away to be with her partner 9 years ago, she’s 2 hours away and missing out on grandma time, she’s been unhappy for years but now has the kick up the bum she needs to get back home.

again, not any hot gossip for anyone else but I can’t tell anyone I know that’s her plan so it’s nice to say it 🤣

Alltheoldpaintings · 15/08/2025 19:54

An acquaintance has just found out that her husband has been having an affair for 5 years: she contacted me as I used to be a lawyer, and has given me all the info.

She found out because they bought a phone for their 11 year old for starting secondary in September, and he accidentally left it in his dad’s car. When she used the “find my phone” feature she saw the car parked on a street in a town that is roughly on his one hour commute to work but he has no reason to be there, so she started snooping and now has all sorts of proof.

It turns out when he told her 5 years ago that his promotion meant he had to do longer hours, he was lying: ever since then he’s been stopping off on his commute either morning or evening and spending 2 hours with his mistress.

He also flew the mistress out to the area of her (the wife’s) family’s holiday home, so that he could claim he was going golfing but actually spend time with her.

Hope she gets her own back. Revenge is best served frozen

AntiBullshit · 15/08/2025 22:33

I hate my colleague, I do actually hate her. She is smug and up her own arse, gets in everyone’s business and will spend 15 mins out of every hour taking a “mental health break” (or a ciggy break as it’s actually called).

If you went for swim at the weekend she’d have swam the channel in 1 hour.
