I am fed up with my neighbour's builders parking on the pavement outside my house every day because they're too tight to pay for a permit. Yesterday I secretly reported them to the council, not really expecting anything to happen. Imagine my glee when someone turned up and issued a ticket. I took great delight in watching them apoplectic about having to pay for their awful parking, with no idea it was me who reported them! (Built up area, loads of houses and people about)

That’s fabulous, I bet he will be delighted. I have a soft spot for MCR. Takes me back to happy times when my DD was a teenager. She played them non stop, and the videos were constantly on Kerrang. I know most of their stuff off by heart.

It was the first concert her and her mates went too unaccompanied. I think they were 13. Her friend’s dad dropped them off, but unbeknown to them he had got a ticket and was stood at that back. Ended up fishing one of them out of the mosh pit when it got messy!

What a fabulous dad.

The first time I drove my car after passing my driver's test I hit a parked car on a little residential street. I left my phone number on the windscreen. A man rang me up and asked if I was sure it was parked where it was and not at the golf club. I live nowhere close to a golf club. Google says our nearest one is just over 7 miles away. Turns out his wife had taken his car to go to work at the golf club. He was livid and said not to worry about the damage, his wife could sort it out. I'm pretty sure I exposed her affair 😳

A good friend is in a serious relationship with another good friends XH.
They are both single (divorced) so technically doing nothing wrong, and they are actually in love, but only a couple of people know, and none of the XP’s or DC know yet. They are hoping to keep it quiet for as long as possible, but we live in a small rural community so who knows what will happen…

I do think that a lot of people will be shocked when it all comes out though…

A friend was having some legal trouble to do with an inheritance. I did some digging and inadvertently found out my friend was 2 when his parents married.

He knows now but has not let on to his mother (father passed away) that he knows.

I know why our head teacher was sacked - not so much a love triangle as a love pentagon. (perhaps more accurately described as a lust pentagon)

How old are the couple? Bewildered what the young girl gets from this.

The girl gets money.
The husband gets off on the thrill.
The wife gets.... a clean house?

Seems like a win all round 😁

Bixiscool · 16/08/2025 04:21

Mine relates to a recently disgraced former MP. His antics are not a surprise to anyone who knows him. He also left his wife on Christmas Day for his mistress and attacked the other man she was having an affair with (sitting MP). He's been having the affair for years and it's only stopped because he's no longer in parliament. He's also still drinking despite court conditions citing he must stay away from alcohol.

I’m going to remember that for future use. 😆

Spilling a little secret here... my husband told me he'd love to see me with another man! We haven't told anyone yet (or found anyone, for that matter!). Just putting it out there for the universe to work its magic.

One of my best friends, R, has an ex, S, who she was with for years and is the father of her kids (now teens/young adults). They are on good terms and he is often at events for the wider friendship group. He is known for being a bit of a ladies' man and had a child from a relationship before her and another with his current partner. Basically always has a woman on the go, to set the scene. Another friend, V, had a big party a few years ago. She had agreed with the neighbours that the party would be in the garden until midnight, then solely indoors after.

At midnight she went out to remind guests to head indoors and in a secluded spot at the end of the garden she encountered S with another man (who was married to another female guest) and a translady (pre op), all with their trousers down and being "familiar" with each other. She later told me and another friend and asked if she should tell R. We all agreed best not to but I remained shocked - it just seemed so unlikely!

Also, my husband worked out in his early 20s that his dad was very unlikely to have been the father of his older sister i.e. from various bits of the historic timeline his parents would not yet have met at the time sister was conceived. It was never spoken about and sister was oblivious, she died 3 years ago none the wiser.

How do so many married men get women to sleep with them? It's a mystery to me.

Maybe commitment issues.

We're on friendly terms with a couple on our street, with DH getting on very well with the husband of the couple. They seem like the perfect couple, lovely kids, happily married, typical Facebook posts from the wife on anniversaries etc.

The husband told DH years ago that they haven't had sex for over 10 years (since their youngest was conceived and that conception night was the first time she'd had sex with him in 2 years). Recently he told DH he hasn't seen his wife naked in years (and she's really attractive so I don't think this would be due to body shame on her part, even misplaced). This week he told DH he thinks he's going to tell her within the month that he's leaving her, as he can't keep being treated like a friend and a cashpoint (he works 2 jobs, she's still working part time despite their salaries being very similar and the kids being easily old enough for her to work full time). He's tried to speak to her in the past about it but she just shuts him down.

I'm not sure he'll go ahead with it as in other ways they have aeemingly good marriage but, if he does, I can well imagine her spinning a very different tale to her friends and family to put all the blame on him.

They've had sex once in TWELVE YEARS??? How does ANY marriage survive that?

I guess it might if the frustrated partner prioritises being with his kids. Still.

LeafyLou · 16/08/2025 02:48

My female married boss has had at least one affair with a male subordinate half her age. Since this, she has separated from her husband. I don’t know if she still sees this guy. She mentioned him the other day (he left the workplace and got a job elsewhere).

She is back to her old tricks and flirting with another subordinate and they have lots of meetings, leave work together and have the same days off...

I think she imagines she is subtle but it’s so obvious.

Not gossip, but it’s my husbands birthday this month, he’s desperate for my chemical romance tickets but he didn’t manage to get any. He thought I was at work this morning, I wasn’t, I was securing two hospitality tickets for him :)

Oh wow, that's just the kind of juicy gossip that keeps one on the edge of their seat!

I know a couple from parents at school where every Sunday the wife gets up amd goes to the gym for a few hours and a local 22 year old comes round the house and makes the husband breakfast in her underwear. They don't sleep together but she just cleans and cooks and acts all subservient in lacy underwear for him. She goes home. Wife comes back. Wife has full knowledge. Every Sunday.

What do they do with the children while this is playing out?

WickedWitchOfTheEast87 · 16/08/2025 02:14

I'm the secret keeper in my family and friends. I know ALOT of secrets but the ones you'd consider juicy I've sworn to never repeat and they'd out me for sure if I did.

However I will reveal one that won't out me too much. My aunt passed way 4 years ago. Her only child is estranged from the family and no one knows where they are. However despite the estrangement she always maintained good relations with her childs ex spouse and grandchildren. Anyway my cousin the eldest grandson was very close to my aunt and did the most for her, taking her shopping, doctors appointments, buying her treats and taking her on trips etc. The other grandchildren but one also helped out but not as much as the eldest did. The one who didn't is selfish and never bothered with her granny and told various relatives she never saw her as a granny.

Anyway when my aunt was diagnosed with a terminal illness she set her affairs in order and made my cousin her legal next kin and to handle everything after she passes. She wasn't a wealthy woman but she managed on her small pension. When she died, my cousin it turns out knew all of her wishes for her funeral and belongings as they discussed it in depth and my cousin bless him followed her wishes completely. All but one of his siblings accepted this and agreed it was right no squabbles or anything they wanted to abide by their granny's wishes. His sister on the other hand was a money grabbing cow and behaved very badly towards her brother because she was furious their granny put him in charge and wanted to know if there was any money and was trying to dictate the funeral arrangements.

But what the little cow didn't know was that for the last 15 years of her life my aunt was giving my cousin little amounts of money so when the time came my cousin would have money to pay for the funeral. He saved that money and kept it safe for her and only told me and his siblings after she died. Turns out granny predicted his sisters behaviour and didn't want her having any say in the arrangements. I told my cousin his granny was a wise woman and his sister's appalling behaviour proved granny was indeed spot on in entrusting everything to him as his sister would have spent that money on herself for sure.

He's an angel how he hasn't lost his temper with his sister I don't know she was a selfish bitch during my auntie's passing whilst he was devastated at losing his granny she was seeing pound signs. But I can't help smiling and giggling when I think of this because if his sister knew there was money she would have created merry hell over it. I hope my auntie is looking down and cackling like a witch that she was proved right yet again 🤣🤣🤣 RIP my favourite aunt she was such a character ❤️❤️❤️

My little grandson told me "Grandma, John (the guy who lives in their basement) called nana a cunt". 🤣🤣. I said no comment

Steph at work is getting sacked. And I’m fuming because Steph is amazing but there is nothing in my remit that I can save her with

CRCGran · 16/08/2025 01:39

My husband and his older sister had different fathers, but his sister doesn't know!!! I found out quite by accident, but without going too deep into explanations I am positive she doesn't know. I did eventually ask my husband about it but he had no idea either!!! She thinks my husbands dad was also her dad.

Not at the same level as PP’s but my most recent ex is seeing one of the mums from school (as advised by a ‘friend’ of mine when their daughters had a play date and she fessed up, but swore her to secrecy).
For a man who wanted to live his life single he’s bloody quick to move on.
Further evidence I was right to leave him. School pickup is likely to be interesting from September….
Edited to add the same ‘friend’ has slept with half the village and two of my exes and probably has him in her sights when the latest fling realises what he’s like. I barely tolerate her but she’s good for gossip. Does that make me a bad person?

Edited

sometimes we have to be friends with disagreeable people to achieve our goals

Neighbour parked an untaxed car outside our house on a public main road so long grass was growing under the car. we are talking years. They’d also placed SORN plates on it. It took me a while but I eventually got someone official to take an interest. The car was moved on the same day they called round.
