This happened years ago, but was fabulous gossip at the time! We had a team night out, and one of the Directors decided to join us. Bit weird, he didn't usually, but whatever. Late into the evening, his PA is crying in the loos, and as I consoled her, she admitted (between sobs) that she and the Director were having an affair, but she'd just found out his wife was pregnant. I told her she needed to forget about married men, put her in a taxi home and decided I would keep it to myself.

The next day, the office is buzzing with the gossip that the Director and his PA are sleeping together. It turns out PA was indiscreet all evening, and told at least 4 people!

Anyway, my favourite bit of this story is when a few days later, Director sets up a series of meetings with all the individuals who were on the night out, and sat there and lied to each of our faces that "There is nothing going on between PA and me, and if I find out who is spreading this rumour, there will be a disciplinary!" So I had to sit there and say "Nothing to do with me Sir!", all the while knowing I'd heard exactly what a shit he was straight from the horse's mouth!

Plus he had teeny, tiny hands, and called himself "Phill". Not Phil, like a normal person, Phill, with an extra "l" for being such a special sausage.

Special sausage just made me snort

And where might one find such a gentleman? Asking for myself xxx

They used to hang out in places like Courchevel, or probably Dubai

He was one of C suite executives at some company plus had some property and other investments

I had to Google "C suite executive".

Would make a hell of a novel/autobiography, anyway...

He wasn't called Andrew by any chance, was he?

no, dear God 🤣

nicer and more attractive- and not an asshole!🤣

by “younger” I mean we were in our mid twenties and there was no grooming involved, and we had a clear idea what we were doing (and it was fun basically)

One of my clients told me she suspected her husband was having an affair. She didn’t want to upset the family home etc so she’s kept quiet but has recently started seeing someone at work herself behind DH back. He best friend is also my client. She told me it is HER who is having an affair with first clients husband but she doesn’t have a clue. She also doesn’t know about friends secret fella at work. So I have to sit and listen to the stories and try not mix them up just incase I let anything slip. Client one will be like I think he was with her last Thursday afternoon, if I find out who she is. I feel like saying I KNOW he was with her Thursday afternoon noon she told me yesterday! Bloody scumbags.

If that was me in your position I’d be having to draw a venn diagram and lock it in my drawer to use as reference before meeting any of them!

NC for this

one is a secret rather than gossip. Me and two of my best friends all slept with the same well off man years ago (when we were young and beautiful), mostly as a foursome (although occasionally separately). For money basically 🤣although we all had good professional jobs 🤣
but he was buying us lavish gifts (think Prada bags), taking us on holidays or shopping, giving us spending money and paying one off huge expenses like my degree or my friend’s house renovation. He was also married and had more other women on the side. And he was actually a nice man, not an asshole, it was just a normal thing among rich men in his circle

no one but us three knows.
this went on for a few years long time ago, now all three of us are married and not in touch with him

He wasn't called Andrew by any chance, was he?

I can see someone who lives very close to me in the shower every day , he really should get a blind, I have moved my garden chair for a better view.

If this is real, you should probably stop. Although I'm hoping you're going to tell us he's 25 and built like a rugby player.

Did a DNA test through ancestry.com. I had a lot of matches and messages from people who share no common family names Turns out my father is not my father. Not sure what to do now. Still feeling surreal but not very worried

Sometimes you have to mike ross to get ahead - youd hope that their experience of actually doing the job would factor in really 😬

Definitely a Mike Ross situation. Not sure any amount of pleading their case is going to work in this situation though. I think I’m the only person who currently knows the truth but I’m not in the same industry and can’t do anything to help.

Think I’ve guessed going by the description of the presenter. I’m going to watch closely when it’s on and remember this post.

Clue please?!
Pretty please?!

Very minor, but someone I know knocked a few years off her age when appearing on a TV programme. It wasn't a situation where her age was relevant, so fair enough.

The funny thing about doing this, is it can make people think you’re looking a bit haggard for your age. Whereas telling them you’re a few years older than you really are, is surely more likely to make them think you’re aging well and looking good….🤷🏼‍♀️

Do you realise everyone can still read what you wrote before you edited this? Not sure if you want to report your comment to MNHQ so they can delete it.

Every day's a school day! I had no idea this feature existed (and I'm guessing this poster didn't either!)

Thanks!

A freedom to speak up guardian somewhere I worked years ago witnessed staff being bullied and humiliated but did nothing. He was also rumoured to have information about serious allegations which he kept quiet about. Turns out he was friends with a senior manager and using her holiday home. He runs his own executive coaching and development company now and talks a lot about compassion.

People are nasty tbh, and justify it as 'protecting themselves'

Disgusting man

Someone I know has a fancy job that they got based on a particular high-level qualification they claimed they have. In actual fact, they don’t. They don’t have a degree at all, let alone this particular qualification. They are about to get rumbled due to a change in regulations meaning they will have to provide evidence. It’s a shame because this person basically got swept up in a lie that snowballed, and is actually very nice, and their professional experience and work ethic makes them perfect for the job, but I think they’re going to get fired 😓

Years ago my friend's teacher husband shagged his (married) TA, so she kicked him out, leaving her on her own with three under 5s. Fifteen years on, friend came across the TA's husband recently on a dating app. She made a catfish profile & got chatting to him as she was curious about whether he was still with the OW. Turns out he is mid-divorce as his wife (now a teacher) had had an affair with the deputy head at her school.

Friend gave him some kindly advice, namely to remember that as a teacher, the OW would have a decent sized pension building up and that this should be taken into account during the settlement. Revenge really is a dish best served ice cold. I'm impressed with her, but I can't tell anyone as she's terrified it will get out and people will think she's nuts.

Amazing of her - was he involved at all in raising the kids?

What a scummy man
