To think that white British/ American etcmen are just as much a threat to women as migrants?

malificent7 · 08/08/2025 12:47

I am not excusing grooming, paedophile sex rings and unmonitored immigration at all but I hate all these protests.
I know that my white male ex teacher is a sex offender. Not to mention the Epstein scandal.
Aibu to think that ALL men are a danger to women...not just men of different ethnicities/ religions etc?

Yes any man can be a threat (as can a woman). I would not phrase it as ALL men ARE a danger to women though.
Looking at government statistics (which are limited, and in this case covers years 2012-2017) sexual offences (rape, assault or other of females, males and minors) 64% found guilty were perpetrated by people of white ethnicity, the remaining made up of black and Asian at around 6%; mixed, Chinese at about 1.5% and not stated at 20%. It does not specify the proportion of those that are male/female or other.

Yes any man can be a threat, this difference is cultural norms. The Epstein of this world are rightly vilified, child sex offenders are kept separate in prisons because most men tho they’re scum,

The problem arises if there are large numbers of men in society who have come from cultures where women already seen as possessions, have no rights and are less than. If s culture doesn’t see child marriage as problematic importing that culture into the UK is very problematic.

The difference is the white rapist and paedophile is going against cultural norms, the attitude of some migrants to women and children as possessions is the cultural norms of where they have come from

Remind us how many the Tories managed to send to Rwanda

That Labour think this means much is why they’ll be surprised their SM attempts are a farce for everyone involved and / or profiting.

One, wasn’t it? And they volunteered.

The scandal is they knew it was illegal and it cost over 700m.

It won’t shift much if the recent SM video re ‘deportation centres’ ie a few men and theatre doesn’t work.

So you are against deporting more criminals and doing it faster?

Just waiting to see if it actually happens, as always.

Very sensible. You can only wonder why this didn’t happen long ago, it’s so obvious.

It’s crazy to talk about London as if it were one homogeneous city.

You have some of the very richest and very poorest areas in the country within London.

Well that is exactly my point. London is diverse. All sorts of people living in the same neighbourhood.

Reform won't do well in the majority of boroughs.

TopPocketFind · 11/08/2025 08:29

How will you determine which foreign nationals presence is detrimental for our country?

I'm guessing they're Muslims.

Extremists don't tend to believe in the rule of law. For example, rounding people up and deporting them because they're not white is illegal.

You said you're voting for whoever deals with the 'problem of immigrants'. Remigration is obviously a human rights violation and people in this country have rights.

You don't respect the law or human rights, in fact you don't see immigrants or people of different ethnicities as human. That's obvious from the way you talk about them.

You also seem to blame immigrants for everything wrong with this country. It hasn't occurred to you that you're wrong.

And no, Reform aren't going to be voted in.

On that last line, I’m not sure how anyone can be certain on what will happen.

Newbutoldfather · 11/08/2025 08:44

@PandoraSocks ,

‘Luxury belief?’

Yes, as in a belief that you can have as the downsides of it have no effect on you personally.

‘It is fairly well documented that the most concern about immigration is from those who live in areas with low immigration.’

Not sure that is true anymore.

TopPocketFind · 11/08/2025 08:43

Newbutoldfather · 11/08/2025 07:32

Historically, immigrants have integrated well into our society. It has sometimes taken a generation or two but, ultimately, if you went to a British school, watched British television and mixed with British people, you assimilated into our culture.

We have a number of problems with that now. Firstly, the amount coming in means that they can live in their own community, practise their own culture and speak their own language. Schooling, which is so important, in many cases adapts to their culture rather than trying to teach them ours. Finally, the internet means that they can seek entertainment and advice in their own culture and that confirms to their cultural norms.

The above isn’t that problematic if their native culture is peaceful and egalitarian. But, if it is religious and misogynistic, it can be a huge problem. And this problem is manifesting itself in the lived experiences reported by many on this thread.

Luxury belief is a really good term. I have many friends who are male, wealthy and send/sent their children to private schools in very wealthy areas of London. Their main contact with recent immigrants is either at work, where they are very well educated and cultured or who are doing domestic/building work for them, where, again, they are polite and respectful (obviously). It is incredibly easy for them to quote uncritically economic theory that says immigration is only a positive.

And do you have a problem with international schools too?

MiloMinderbinder925 · 11/08/2025 08:41

PandoraSocks · 11/08/2025 08:26

Luxury belief?

It is fairly well documented that the most concern about immigration is from those who live in areas with low immigration.

Let's see how well Reform performs in London next year.

They say it over and over again in an attempt to appeal to the working class and those who live in deprived areas. That the middle class hand wringers don't understand how foreigners impact the daily lives of the WC. It's not due to lack of investment or years of austerity or neoliberalism, it's due to foreigners. See also suicidal empathy.

I know what it means in it's purest form with no nuance or context. And I know what it means in the the the context of the current political climate and the situation we find ourselves in right now.

You'd like it to mean "round up all non-whites" because that's easy to argue against. Change the word and use a different one of if it upsets you. Lets agree on a word that means "remove foreign nationals whose presence in our country is detrimental, regardless of skin colour".

How will you determine which foreign nationals presence is detrimental for our country?
