To think that white British/ American etcmen are just as much a threat to women as migrants?

malificent7 · 08/08/2025 12:47

I am not excusing grooming, paedophile sex rings and unmonitored immigration at all but I hate all these protests.
I know that my white male ex teacher is a sex offender. Not to mention the Epstein scandal.
Aibu to think that ALL men are a danger to women...not just men of different ethnicities/ religions etc?

Because I can see exactly what you're doing. You were called out for the exact same thing much earlier in this thread and you reacted I'm much the same way.

What is @MiloMinderbinder925 doing that's causing you coniptùons @Somerford ?

Why are you policing the thread and telling people what they can and can't say?

Then why are you dragging people into the weeds about who is to blame for it? What's the point of what you're doing? We both know what the point is - wasting people's time and energy and ultimately deflecting because you know you've decisively lost the point that you really want to be arguing about.

I haven't given an opinion on 'mass immigration' on this thread.

I spent my whole teen years getting abused, from 13 onwards.

All white, british men.

TooBigForMyBoots · 08/08/2025 23:46

JamesMacGill · 08/08/2025 22:56

Yeah because of course my laughing emojis were a reaction to VAWG and not the actual comment I was responding to

Exactly.

This is a thread about VAWG in the UK. You have laughed at women's suffering. You have dismissed us and minimised our abuse at men's hands. You have used us in your culture war against other men.

Fuck the fuck off!Angry

Seems that, in the face of overwhelming evidence, you're now in agreement that mass immigration is fucking awful and needs to stop. You're now just looking for who is to blame. Happy to join you in blaming the Tories and I don't really whether you agree that they're liberals or not.

I haven't given an opinion on 'mass immigration' on this thread.

Well they certainly weren't conservative.

. Pro-mass immigration (even if they don't campaign on it, the Tories are the most pro-immigration party out there as you have demonstrated there with the numbers).
. Cameron's most heralded achievement was legalising gay marriage - very much a liberal policy
. increased foreign aid
. committed to net zero
. didn't repeal any of the ultra-liberal Blairite laws
. defunded the police

In your opinion austerity policies which sought to shrink the state under the Tories were liberalism? Do you mean neoliberalism?

Between 2010 and 2019 more than £30 billion in spending reductions were made to welfare payments, housing subsidies, and social services. The left tend to increase state spending.

Pensioners were protected as they are traditional Tory voters, but homelessness and child poverty rose exponentially. In fact, the average height of children decreased and we saw the reintroduction of illnesses such as rickets. The cuts to services were so severe that some refer to it as 'Britain's lost decade' but you see these policies as liberalism.

Yes - I doubt the Indian men able to come here legally are representative of India as a whole. But you're evading my point - no one seriously thinks that all cultures treat women equally well or badly. Look at the wide variations in the age of consent for starters.

This is the answer with regard to India.

There are serious issues with sexual assault and rape in India, and these are linked to education, class, and even rural vs urban issues. All of which combine to make it a very uncomfortable, sensitive, and serious topic within the context of India itself.

However, at least until recently, most of the people emigrating out of India to the West have not been the poor, uneducated, rural people, but rather people with some education, entrepreneurs and professionals.

This kind of scenario doesn't follow with people arriving as irregular migrants claiming asylum. And that's probably why we haven't seen the same problems with Indian migrants as they have arrived over the years.

So then there is no reason to use Sweden as an example that immigration leads to more sexual assaults.

Thanks for pointing that out

VERDICT
No evidence. There is no proof migration has led to an increase in the incidence of rape in Sweden, which has been exaggerated in social media posts online.

Well there is proof as researchers use information from court verdicts

Immigration under Blair was 250k, under the Tories it reached a million.

Can you explain how the Tories are liberal?

In Denmark in 2022 Immigrants and their descendants made up 14% of the population, yet accounted for 29% of violent crime convictions—a rate 2.5 times higher than native Danes.

It also says:

Sweden does not publish the ethnicity or national background of perpetrators of any crime, including sexual offences.

It does mention that there iis no evidence migration caused exaggerated 2013 Swedish rape statistics

notnorman · 08/08/2025 23:17

further Swedish studies- a 2018 analysis of 843 district court convictions for rape and attempted rape over the prior five years found that 58% of convicted individuals had a foreign background, with 40% born in the Middle East or Africa. In cases involving stranger rapes (where perpetrator and victim did not know each other), 75% were born outside Europe, and 40% of them had been in Sweden for a year or less

New Labour opened the borders. The Tories just opened them wider. Both liberal parties (post-Blair) rather than left or right.

I don't think mass immigration is a left wing cause, it's just been hijacked by liberals who have basically been sold as left wing.

The Tories as you point out are also content with mass immigration because it keeps wages down and as homeowners it keeps house prices/rents rising. It's not for any altruistic purposes. god forbid these immigrants turn up in their leafy Tory/Lib Dem areas - keep them in working class communities.

these boats were full of families then there wouldn't be the same level of moral panic.

I think "justified alarm" would be a better way of putting it than "moral panic".

Similar thing but the look at the scene at Yarmouth today with an MP in a frenzy over a boat on the water in his constituency which turned out to be a charity rower. Panic and hysteria will set in if the government won't do what it takes to restore our border.
