To think that white British/ American etcmen are just as much a threat to women as migrants?

malificent7 · 08/08/2025 12:47

I am not excusing grooming, paedophile sex rings and unmonitored immigration at all but I hate all these protests.
I know that my white male ex teacher is a sex offender. Not to mention the Epstein scandal.
Aibu to think that ALL men are a danger to women...not just men of different ethnicities/ religions etc?

They're not being shipped in.

Focus on a word doesn’t deflect from not thinking what you promote through. Clearly not everywhere has a ‘register’ and not everyone has documentation to say where that is.

Bussed in then.

They’re not just roaming aimlessly around the beach, to find themselves all staying at exactly the same hotel are they?

They're not being bused in either as you're perfectly aware.

In which case the ones being arrested for rape and sexual assault must not be refugees then?
Just plain illegal immigrants.
Not sure what your point is there

We very much have proof that men staying in ‘migrant hotels’ have been charged with rape, so not sure what point you think you’re making?

Edited

You're acting as though all refugees and asylum seekers are sex offenders, they're evidently not. I'm not sure how much clearer I can be. You can be refused refugee status if you are found guilty of sexual offences. I provided a link should you still be confused.

Just don't bring a passport. Can't be sent back to a country they can't verify you from

We're not 'shipping in' men. That makes it sound as though the government is going out of their way to bring asylum seekers here.

You can't claim refugee status if you are a danger to the country or are a sex offender; you lose refugee protection:
www.gov.uk/government/news/sex-offenders-to-be-stripped-of-refugee-protections

This cites a ‘sex offenders register’, is this available everywhere?

And you think sex crime status is a fact that can be established where the recording authority is the Taliban?

We also have no evidence they are not a higher threat.
Which was my whole point.

The only reason you are able to make your point about convictions of domestic abuse is because it’s recorded.

We need this information about the men we are shipping in as well

I said that people are being radicalised online by the far right who are organising protests outside hotels and telling people that asylum seekers are paedophiles and rapists. I gave Andrew Tate and incel culture as an example of online radicalisation. I at no point, said that radicalisation was a good idea.

Many of the men creating division and stirring hatred in the cause of protecting women and children, seem to have convictions and histories of domestic abuse and violence against women. This has been found to be the case from last year's riot and the recent NI riots. I'm wondering why this doesn't seem to be important when it comes to protecting women and children.

We have no evidence that asylum seekers and refugees are any more a danger to women and children than the far right activists or British men.

You’ve seen no evidence, yet seem to be against any potential evidence being collated? Doesn’t make sense.

Either men are all the same everywhere, and no more or less likely to be rapists, in which case Andrew Tate and the like would make no difference, as men are the same regardless, so no need to worry.

Or it does make a difference, in which case you’re happy for men who were ‘radicalised’ elsewhere to be shipped in in droves, but not happy for British men to be ‘radicalised’ by Andrew Tate online?

Excellent point!

If all comers are thoroughly decent fellows - nothing to see here - then I’ll be thrilled. And reassured.

Also as pps have mentioned - any large group of young men with no socialising effect of family is going to be problematic. The world over and since the dawn of time has seen trouble when armies/large groups have arrived somewhere.

Additionally, does anyone working with asylum seekers know if they are given guidelines on host country values? By that I mean largely the attitude towards women. I can’t understand for the life of me how some people (indeed posters on MN) think that women being second-class citizens should be a culturally-respected position.

Yep. 👍

Any man is a threat. But a man from a different culture with different morals and different options on how women should be treated are a much higher threat.

That's just common sense, but the twists and turns to avoid that are laughable.

I wrote something very similar earlier this morning when I shared a news article online. I asked how do they know that all the white men are not dangerous, and that you have no idea whether they are a danger to yourself or children? That more violence in the uk - particularly towards women and children - will be done by British men, not immigrants. To me it just shows that some of these protestors are utterly ignorant and that yes, it is outright racism. There are already a massive amount of British (white) men that are already a danger to women and children, and we are more at risk by one of them, and most likely someone we already know, than by some immigrants in a hotel. Absolutely not excusing any awful crimes that have happened, but they are not the men that most women should be scared of.
