Messaged "celeb" crush and now feel like an idiot

A bit lighthearted. He is a member of a semi- famous indie band. I just replied to his IG story asking about his pet. Nothing at all flirty. I'd had a couple of glasses of wine when I did that. He didn't reply and now I feel like an absolute tit! AIBU to feel like this? He probably gets loads of messages from fans and doesn't really read them so I'm probably BU!

I had a crush on a spurs player in the 70's. Heard he was in an orthopedic hospital with leg injury so truanted from school and rang hospital from phone box and got put through!! I was mortified and we had a silly chat, I wished him well and he let me down v gently 😔. I wouldn't give it another thought, he's only a human being not a god and will probably be a bit chuffed x

I don't think any celeb would reply to a message from a random person on their Instagram story. ConfusedHe probably doesn't even run his own account.

I guess it depends on the definition of celeb, I've had responses from TV famous people before

Inspired by this thread I've just commented on a story of a person famous in their niche field, completely unknown outside of that, I wonder if I'll get a reply 😁
