Why do young adults want to start smoking

It’s a bloody disgusting habit. Average cost of cigs is £15.70. Cheapest are £12.50, based on what cousin who works in a supermarket told me.

There’s been reports that young people are coming off vapes and smoking but how many is anyone’s guess.

Probably a test purchase by the company or trading standards.

We always spot test purchases where I work because no one that age smokes - they all vape or use pouches.

Theres a large group of language students from Spain in our town & they stand out as quite a few smoke which you rarely see any more

Well some do but it really seems to be a minority these days.
But to answer your question of why - who knows?
There's a lot of things people buy that I don't understand why they do it. But it's their money.

I think it's coming back into fashion. Like heroin chic is becoming more in. Easier to stay skinny if you're addicted to nicotine rather than sugar 🤷‍♀️

Sort of disguised under the whole 90s/00s nostalgic vibe.

I don't see many young adults smoking - it's the older generation that's still puffing away.
