To ask if anyone has seen ufo, ghost, fae?

I am curious if anybody here has seen any of these things , such as UFO or a ghost or what can be known as “fae”? I have once seen lights in the sky which could have been the Chinese lanterns, but I am open minded and interested in this subject

How do you know there is much more to this existence than we are aware of if we are not aware of it?

Well firstly you would be very naive to believe you know everything.
And secondly, I’ve experienced it. I can’t find logical explanations for the things that happened to me and I’m a very rational person.

ILostMySharkPants · 28/07/2025 19:09

I saw a UFO a few months ago.
It was a VERY dark clear night, so millions of stars visible and the Milky Way clearly visible over my garden.
I was standing in the garden looking up at the stars, when something went very fast across the sky blocking out stars as it went, there was no noise. It was like a very deep black oval hole traveling across the sky. It was fast but not so fast that I couldn’t see it.
I’m very familiar with the night sky, regularly see things that are weird but explainable, but have no explanation for this.

I do believe there’s more to the universe than we can comprehend, and find it bizarre when people are so closed off to that possibility, particularly when there are ghost and UFO accounts from highly credible sources with multiple witnesses.

With all due respect can you explain;

Drawers opening by themselves and objects flying out of them?

Chairs shooting across the kitchen floor?

Vases flying off shelves?

Landlines ringing with phone calls from dead relatives?

Seriously you had to be there. It was not explainable by the mundane.

No, I can’t explain those things-I wasn’t there. The fact remains that whenever anything supposedly paranormal is properly investigated, it turns out to be not paranormal at all. Good examples of this are spontaneous human combustion, and ghost and orb photographs. Just because we can’t currently explain something doesn’t mean that there’s not an explanation.

I saw a flying saucer UFO as a teen in the 80s. I saw a letter in a local newspaper the following week asking if anyone else had seen it in that location on that night, but I didn’t respond. I was probably about 14 and quite scared by it.

I saw a flying saucer and the next week saw a letter in the local paper asking if anyone had seen it. But this was early 90s. I was driving my little (old - not flashy!) sports car back from my boyfriend’s house when I heard a loud whirring above and behind me. I looked up and to my right I could see the underside of a massive round flying saucer. It had lights all round it and the inner part was rotating while the whole craft was alongside me. I was petrified, it was really low and loud. It’s funny because my friends and I had talked a few times about how if we ever saw one, we’d just be “beam me up Scotty” but when you’re alone in the middle of the night in a small soft-top car, not so brave! It followed alongside until I got to a big roundabout, then it shot off really fast diagonally. I’m sure my mum spotted a reply to the woman’s letter (seem to remember she had the same first name as me) from either the council or police, saying it was a special craft they used for traffic surveys. That made it all the more mystifying.
Years later I was listening to Danny Baker on Radio London, someone called in and described the exact same thing at a similar time, but in Seven Kings. That was about 10 miles from me, but a small distance for them, being as they’d come all the way from outer space! (Tbf Danny Baker did ask why they came all that way to visit a small part of Ilford!)

Greensnow · 28/07/2025 19:01

I felt a ghost, does that count?
My friends cat hat died when visiting I kept feeling it rubbing around my legs.I looked but there was nothing there as I was feeling it.

There is so much more to this existence than we are aware of. I’m not sure there is a logical answer.

No, I can't explain. I wasn't there. I think you should try harder to find one, though. It wasn't a ghost.

There doesn't happen to be a mundane explanation.

There can be a rational explanation.

It's not mundane if you've suffered from hallucinations or delusions. I'd start from there as my explanation.

MasculineProviderEnergy · 28/07/2025 18:54

One evening last summer, I was looking up at the sky and 3 glowing torpedo shaped things flew slowly above me in a straight line. Completely silent. About 8 storeys up, so too low to be satellites.

Lacitlyana · 28/07/2025 18:31

My daughter was unwell with what seemed like a sick bug. She wasn't rallying and I wasn't happy and decided to take her to A and E. Not sure why - she had no fever or anything. I strapped her in the car and closed her door and went to open the driver's door, and I heard in my ear someone say "This moment right now is when you save her life". Clear as a bell.

She turned out to have intussusception - incredibly unusual in a child her age (over 2) and had to have part of her intestines removed in an emergency operation.

I saw a ghost in our old house. I described him to our neighbour and it was a man who lived there years ago. He was very tall and was wearing a long black coat and a black brimmed hat. My husband doesn’t believe in this sort of thing but strange things were happening in the house. For a non believer, you have never seen anyone run out of the house do fast one particular morning!!!

Rats?

Nope, no droppings of any kind anywhere.

AlabamaOfEurope · 28/07/2025 13:53

Rationalists, not nationalists, thanks autocorrect

AlabamaOfEurope · 28/07/2025 13:52

I haven't, but i remain open to the idea that we haven't actually discovered everything and understand everything. I mean, if you were born in a cave and grew up in the cave and spent your life exploring and understanding the cave and everything in it, you would think that was the world and you knew everything there was to know 🤷‍♀️

I found out years after we'd moved that in the house we lived in when I was a teenager, my dad and brothers occasionally witnessed apparent poltergeist activity. They never mentioned it at the time so as not to scare me but would discuss it amongst themselves. It was objects moving either slowly, creeping along a flat surface, or suddenly flying across the room, sudden drops in temperature, the dogs and cats freaking out and either snarling at nothing or cowering.
Like I say, I never saw or heard anything there. I hated the place, but that was because I was angry and resentful about being forced to move away from our old house, where I was happy and had friends. Teenage girl with lots of strong and suppressed feelings, hmm, maybe I was the locus 😅 (kidding, before the dour nationalists patrolling the thread start spluttering)

menopausalfart · 28/07/2025 13:32

We often say things are paranormal until we find a scientific explanation. All I know was that I saw something hovering low in the sky. It was a large and completely silent.

menopausalfart · 28/07/2025 13:11

I saw a UFO in South Wales in the early 80s. It was hovering low, over a field. It was lit up like a Christmas tree.

MasterBeth · 28/07/2025 12:58

No, I wasn’t there. I’m sure it all felt very real. As a scientist, I’m sure you know that our personal experience can be deceptive.

If it annoys you to just let others believe what they believe. You weren't there, you aren't affected by my story, so just leave me be. I didn't post it asking for you to naysay it, I posted it in response to OP, who it seems, is open to these 'woo' stories people are sharing. Don't believe, or want to read these stories? Move on. If you can't let people have a little bit of woo, then you must be very boring indeed. I don't think this is the thread for you.

The two things don’t align. My life doesn’t have to be boring for me to want to challenge nonsensical thinking.

Of course you don’t want anyone questioning your version of events. But you are proposing something extraordinary has happened to you. I would suggest it is quite boring, unquestioning, gullible people who would accept what you say at face value.

I'm glad I moved out of my last flat when I did. Something would tamper with the recycling bin. You could hear the bin bag being moved. It only got to me once though and freaked me out, the rest of the time I was used to it. Things would also, with increasing regularity, fall over. 2Ltr bottles of pop, cans from the cupboards, etc. The most disturbing part though was I would wake with scratches, on my arms, legs, back, even stomach. Since moving it has all stopped.

Rats?

DreamyRubyReader · 28/07/2025 13:00

No, because they don't exist.

If by ufo you mean thing in the sky and I couldn't figure out what it was because it was too small / too far away then yes.
If by ufo you mean alien spacecraft then no.
