I can't get this song out of my brain by Chappel Roan.
I keep playing it, does anyone else?
😍

I quite like it.

ItsFridayIminLoveJS · 26/07/2025 22:14

At first l thought it was going to be a copy of I will survive by Gloria Gaynor.. the first few bars are that song.

Saracen · 26/07/2025 22:13

I didn't really know it, but I was enchanted by this chap's rendition of it on America's Got Talent:

I love it, and many of her other songs.

StrawberrySquash · 26/07/2025 22:12

It's a terrible earworm, but I don't really like the song. She's done much better!

Toddlerteaplease · 26/07/2025 20:31

We were discussing this on my last resuscitation study day. Apparently you can do CPR to it. Although I’m not seeing how!

Yes I’ve heard that too!

I love her album, I like singing along to it loudly in the car.

shuggles · 26/07/2025 22:07

It's very bland and forgettable. I don't understand why the most popular songs today are bland songs that don't evoke any sort of emotion or feeling.

Sundaycrunch · 26/07/2025 22:07

I'm with you OP. Absolutely love the song and am slightly jealous that DD is seeing her at the Reading festival.

ConnieHeart · 26/07/2025 22:04

TheFormidableMrsC · 26/07/2025 20:15

No, I went right off her when I saw a clip of her pushing a member of staff at an event and thought, what a vile person.

I haven't seen that one but I saw one where CR was at an event and remembered this woman had been cruel to her sometime before so called her out on it. I applaud her for that

ChilliChoco · 26/07/2025 20:30

The song about a stripper saying how her mum disapproves about her career choice?
It's catchy but I can't like a song with that content

Give over ffs

Nagginthenag · 26/07/2025 22:03

RappelChoan · 26/07/2025 21:48

Be careful as your other colleagues might scream God, what have you done

😂 - nice. But nope - they'll be helping me fill in the hole 😁

AlwaysTheRenegade · 26/07/2025 21:03

Did anyone see Elton John on stage with her singing it?

That was so good. His hat fell off & she picked it up for him!

ConnieHeart · 26/07/2025 21:59

I like her & her image and think she is a great role model for any young person who may be struggling with their identity. But it's not my favourite of her songs. I prefer Hot To Go, Good Luck, Babe! and Femininomenon (hope I've spelled that right)

Spookyspaghetti · 26/07/2025 21:58

Canonlythinkofthisone · 26/07/2025 21:13

No worse than some of the songs we used to sing to back in the 90s at school discos 🤣🤣🤣

True.

I can remember girls lining up doing a dance routine and singing “I wanna have sex in the beach” in the playground.

mediummumma · 26/07/2025 21:57

Yes, I love this song. My 11 yo DD and her friends sing it constantly although they clearly think it’s about pink ponies! Also love Hot to Go by the same artist, which also sticks in my head for days at a time!

Kaz7779 · 26/07/2025 21:57

It is catchy, definitely no worse than songs that used to be played in clubs/disco's probably tamer than a lot of them!!

BrownieBlondie01 · 26/07/2025 21:55

I love it! Listen to it on repeat at times.

PumpingRSI · 26/07/2025 21:54

We sing it to the baby except we change the words to ‘big baby club’ cause she’s a chonk 😍

ButterflyHatched · 26/07/2025 21:51

Absolute earworm - instantly recognisable and has some lovely shades of Kate Bush to it. Especially magnificent to see that video of it being played by a brass band a few weeks ago!

Spookyspaghetti · 26/07/2025 21:50

PassingStranger · 26/07/2025 20:42

Been likened to a bit kate bush.

Only in her aesthetic not her music style which is very Taylor/Miley American female solo singer vibes. I agree the song is catchy though.

RappelChoan · 26/07/2025 21:48

Nagginthenag · 26/07/2025 20:10

A work colleagues sings it on a fucking loop. One of these days I won't be responsible for my actions and she'll end up under a patio somewhere.

Be careful as your other colleagues might scream God, what have you done

Shesafancyflapjack · 26/07/2025 21:46

The pink pony club is not a strip club, the song is not about a stripper or sex worker. It’s a gay bar in LA. It’s a great song

Youdontseehow · 26/07/2025 21:42

ZenNudist · 26/07/2025 20:28

I thought you were going to complain about little girls merrily singing a song which is seems to be about being a stripper (this happened at our school disco). Song's based on a strip club. Not ideal song for 10/11yos but they seem to think it's about actual pink ponies!

I remember years back when The Cheeky Girls were on the go - all the kiddies at the school disco singing “touch my bum” etc. An actual adult had to be told not to play the song!

WhiteNoiseBlur · 26/07/2025 21:39

It’s so catchy. It lives rent-free in my brain with “La-la-la lavaaa ch-ch-ch chickennnn”

Toddlerteaplease · 26/07/2025 21:38

@ihavebecomecomfortablynumbwe were talking about that as well. Nellie the elephant is better as the end of the song is the end of the cycle!
