Malnourished starving children in Gaza

The photos that appeared this morning on my news updates of mothers holding their children, dying of starvation and extreme malnutrition in Gaza have absolutely broken my heart. I am not particularly news focused, of course I’ve followed it all but this morning it has stopped me in my tracks and took my breath away. As a mother of a 3yo DS who is sleeping peacefully in his bedroom, whilst we have a fridge full of food downstairs and a life of peace, I feel so sorry that those poor mothers and children are living this hell so undeserved and also so so lucky we have the peace we do…
I don’t really know what the point of my post is; I suppose I’m screaming When Will This End inside and want to tell everyone to not take the freedom and peace we have for granted; use your right to vote and use your privilege to make informed choices that steer the world away from conflict towards peace…

Sending a handhold to all the mothers’ whose lives are not being lived in peace and whose children are suffering 🕊️💔

I don’t know where to start with this. What evidence have you got of Israel indoctrinating very young kids in schools to hate Palestinians? You are making a sweeping and dangerous statement, dehumanising Israelis (‘Zionists’) instead. How is that better than what you accuse Israel of doing?
why are so many posts on this thread using Holocaust inversion?
why is it not enough to state that babies are malnourished and starving, and this is horrifying and tragic?
the situation is bad enough without this unrelenting inflammatory language.
Palestiniangirl put it better than me:

One side of my family were German Jewish refugees who escaped the holocaust by the skin of their teeth, I'm not saying that to make light of the holocaust, far from it. I recommend reading 'Palestine in Israeli School Books: Ideology and Propaganda in Education' by Nurit Peled-Elhanan (Israeli scholar) if you are interested.

It’s rather the other way around. I never heard Jews stating that Palestinians (even babies) deserve to die. On the other hand if you talk to Palestinians about what they think of the Jews….
You can regularly see 4-5 year-old Palestinian little children in videos, dressed up in military uniforms, holding machine guns and chanting anti-Jewish slogans. Total brainwashing from a young age! Interestingly enough, you never see small Jewish children dressed up like soldiers and brandishing weapons around.
So what are you even talking about? 😕

Israel have stated since day 1. Release the hostages and Hamas stand down. Then the war is over.

Israel wanted the release of the hostages and to defeat Hamas - that was the aim - not for Hamas to stand down. Standing down and defeated are not the same thing. Stick to the facts.

The BBC were on an "air drop" plane and Jeremy Bowen peaked out even though he was told not to. He said neighbourhoods he had visited many times were literally flattened.

No wonder they keep everyone out and why this genocide is being prolonged. The world has woken up and now the Israelis are petrified what we will say when we actually see what they have done

I don’t think they care, they kept it quiet to keep it going for longer, to implement maximum damage- like the deniers on this thread they have no conscience or morals.

Makes you wonder why none of the adults are remotely malnourished..

Adults are also severely malnourished. Nursing mothers are unable to supply milk.Hmm

I feel absolutely helpless, and absolutely sick of people continuing to blame Hamas.

It's not a famine. It's a genocide. Keep saying it.

Yes. Genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/07/2025 15:36

USAID lied before about famine in Gaza in the past only to admit there wasn't one at all

I was aware of the claim but not that they'd withdrawn it so wonder if you could expand on this @GoldenRosebee?

While nobody disputes there are certainly needs in the area I'm also well aware - this time from experience - that NGOs and charities frequently maximise their claims if only to secure their own positions and funding, and that not absolutely everything is necessarily as presented

Bunnybenty · 30/07/2025 15:19

My friend actually did a Phd on countries in the middle east.

He told me that he realised that they have so many problems, wars and conflicts, precisely because they keep women down in so many areas. It gets the whole culture unbalanced.

Bunnybenty · 30/07/2025 15:16

Oh im fed up with this war. They should all just fucking grow up, but they are going to keep it going and going and going.

There is no reasoning with spme egomaniacl male leaders

Especially ones who are facing trials in their own countries and the Hague so are prolonging this genocide to save their skins

Exactly, and Israel hasn't allowed foreign doctors working in hospitals in Gaza to bring baby formula into Gaza. If they bring any formula with them, it is confiscated.

Babies starve before adults as they have less fat and reserves to live off. They are also weaker physically to start with.

Why is that? Do you not question what you see?

For someone who takes gospel what a wanted war criminal says, I question what you stand for.

Disgusting

Israel have stated since day 1. Release the hostages and Hamas stand down. Then the war is over.

Israel also stated they would not let a grain of aid in. Now they did exactly that, you deny there is starvation. Pick a lane

thepariscrimefiles · 30/07/2025 15:08

Featherruffler · 30/07/2025 10:38

Just to counter argue, and show you the other side of the story. But listen to it from start to finish and don’t just dismiss it as Israeli propaganda without giving your full attention.

Charlie Kirk is a right-wing pro-Trump activist who thinks that abortion is murder with no exceptions for rape who has pedalled anti-semitic conspiracy theories such as the Great Replacement. He can fuck right off.

How do they or we know that if they released the hostages that the war would end?

No agreement for any such thing has been reached

Israel have stated since day 1. Release the hostages and Hamas stand down. Then the war is over.

  1. they are starved by Hamas and Egypt
  2. 60k is fake number
  3. these people are Iran's agents
  4. All pictures released were AI, photoshopped or pictured with well fed adults
  5. USAID lied before about famine in Gaza in the past only to admit there wasn't one at all
Edited

Are they starved or well fed? It's so hard to tell from your post (#sarcasm).

Comedycook · 30/07/2025 15:02

Indeed but it's not like we haven't seen any photos or footage from there...so that argument doesn't really wash. Rest assured if there were starving adults everywhere like in an actual famine, we'd know about it

Hamiltonfan · 30/07/2025 15:01

Bunnybenty · 30/07/2025 14:55

If you are going to write that, you need to give a source, or proof.

What proof do you have.

The new York times has posted a veiled apology for failing to dig into this story before they posted it. nypost.com/2025/07/29/media/new-york-times-stunningly-rolls-back-claims-about-viral-photo-of-starving-gaza-boy/
