@MoonWoman69this sounds so awful, I’m so sorry you are going through this. Have they given you nutrition advice about helpful supplements and protein? Do watch your mental health, it can be so effected by these things which makes recovery even harder.

I am sat here in tears at the majority of these posts. Sending huge love and hugs to everyone who feels down, is ill or is struggling.
Nobodies worries trump anyone elses, our worries are ours, but it's good to share and I'm wishing each and every one of you positivity, strength and healing. 🌻

To the people who have given ridiculous or flippant answers, you are arseholes.

My worry totally pales in comparison, but it's dominating my life at the moment.

I ran over my right, big toe with the wheely bin accidentally a few months ago. I broke it and I also lost a huge chunk of skin from the top and then it all went black. Back and forth to the GP, was sent to hospital and admitted. They did various tests and found I had a blocked artery. Had an angioplasty. The blood flow is back into my toe, that's gone really well, so I am now going to be discharged from the vascular department and added to wound care clinic. The nail came off and from that up, the whole top part of my toe is necrotic. I cannot fault the medical care I have and am receiving, not one bit of it.
I have regular appointments at the hospital, where at each one, they nod and say the inadine dressings are doing what they should to dry it out. I have to wait now for it to self amputate. In between the hospital appointments, I have to dress it every 3 to 4 days and it knocks me sick. Big pieces are starting to come off, but it still looks horrific. I know my toe is going to be deformed for the rest of my life.
I'm just worried that I can't see an end to this any time soon. I can't drive as I don't feel safe, it being my accelerator and brake foot; the only time I'm getting out, is when my DH has a day off work; it's so sore to walk on; I can only wear my trekking sandals; I have to shower with my foot in a bread bag, taped to my leg; the rest of my toe is covered in dry skin that I can't do anything about at the moment.
I know I am really really lucky, there was talk of amputating half my foot. But looking at the toe (with blurred vision and a little "past" it as I can't look at it directly!) I can't see when it's going to look any different.
I'm just over 3 months in, going stir crazy because I can't just jump in my car and go somewhere and feeling quite down about it.
But it's nothing compared to some of the experiences shared on here 🤗

Same as my dd :( yes we have that! how long was he on it for? I don’t want her to be on it on long term but as soon as she’s off it/it gets hot outside/she is slightly ill, she becomes constipated again. So so hard :(

Not so long ago- maybe 6 weeks/a couple months?

Once he started going regularly it just fell into its stride and continued.

That Israel are brutally and purposefully murdering a classroom of children every single day for the last two years and committing a genocide against the native Palestinians - and all this violence and horror is supported and financed by our U.K. government. That’s my biggest problem.

lucya66 · 17/07/2025 21:32

I can’t save my sisters life. She’s dying of cancer. She’s 35.

Sadly that happens a lot.

They think they've got you trapped so their real personality comes out. Prove them wrong and leave.

Yup I’m sickened as that was always my biggest fear. I feel so betrayed. If it continues I’m off.

DS8 has finished 3 years of treatment for Leukemia this year. Living in absolute fear of a return and what that means.

Whether new job will authorise holiday for January for my big wedding anniversary. (We will be going anyway)

Alifemoreordinary123 · 17/07/2025 21:23

My mindset (and a DH who can’t share the load). I have a blessed life with a few challenges but I struggle to stay positive. Sorry to those struggling with serious illness and issues that can’t be solved.

Anxiety, due to too many people trying to take me for granted and my brain finally saying no.

I’d really recommend a book called ‘at last a life’ by Paul David (can buy on Amazon). Genuinely the only information you’ll need to recover from your anxiety. Wishing you well!

Wow, if those are your problems, I hope you realize you're very, very lucky.

With so many people facing dire medical problems, being without the money for the medical problems, coping with the death of a loved one, facing eviction, facing deportation, facing a disintegrating government, worried about the threat of war, struggling to afford groceries, unable to find a decent job ... yes, you're lucky.

Oh my son's was BAD, poo'd absolutely massive poos when he did go from not going so long that he screamed and cried.

Movicol saved us!

Went to see a private Dr in the end, cost me £25 for the prescription but then went to my GP and he prescribed it.

If you haven't tried it yet 🤞it works for you too!

Are you peri menopausal. It makes you feel like you're living outside yourself.
It could be a vitamin deficiency.
I take a pro-biotic it has helped.

I am already taking vitamins and it helps, but I don't feel quite like myself. I have been tested en the doctor said it's not peri.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 17/07/2025 21:02

Big hugs to everybody. 💐

I am struggling emotionally. I feel like my entire personality is slowly changing into something (or someone) I don't recognize. I struggle with routine and I struggle to stay focused. I have already let go of most of the struggle and there are many moments where I let the chips fall where they may.

I am worried it will get me into to trouble in the long run though, especially at work. I feel I am less reliable than I used to be. I also feel largely detached from the world at the moment. Some of it is deliberate. I can't stand watching the news at the moment and part of me just feels flighty, as though I am not really here.

Somehow I still get things done, but I often don't know how. On the one hand it is peaceful, but on the other it is scary and I feel out of control.

Edited

To fit?? A plumbing course would be cheaper.

🤣

Mydogsanasshole · 17/07/2025 20:55

Horrible court case with a person to reclaim money I sent to them under duress (judgement in my favour) Sudden unexpected death of my grandmother who raised me, car accident where other party admitted 100% liability then decide to lie when the cost of repairs were sent, complete hair loss due to alopecia and that’s just in the last 9 months.

@Katemax82 I think it's anxiety, as I don't actually need a wee, just have an overwhelming feeling that I'm going to wet myself.

I know that I'm being ridiculous, but I just can't get a grip on myself.

Reading everyone else's posts does put it into perspective though!

Hi x What age are you? I had this and it was menopause-related x

7 month old son just had open heart surgery…. Biggest worry is hoping he’s ok and will live a normal life

Sending you love. I hope he's OK and makes a good recovery.

First my housekeeper got sick, then the nanny resigned unexpectedly, then our driver crashed our Porsche whilst out running my errands. I’m kidding, it’s the school holidays and I don’t have staff is my biggest problem.

Hello, has he tried dupilimab ? Methotrexate didn’t work for my sibling who also has chronic eczema but dupilmab cured him.

Hey no he hasn't tried that. He's only 3 so methotrexate is the first big thing we're trying. It's definitely improving but I'll keep a note of Dupilimab. Thankyou

Grieving my twin boys. Lost them 20 months ago at birth. I've since had their little sister but trying to navigate this with grief too.

I'm so very, very sorry for your loss of your babies. Are you getting any help like therapy to talk through your grief, or help from a baby loss charity?

That's unbelievably hard, what you are suffering. My heart goes out to you.
