Insignificant compared to what I’ve read, and puts my minor problem of having 3 stones to lose into perspective.

tryingtobesogood · 16/07/2025 14:04

I’m sorry everyone who is going through such difficult times.

Blimey are you for real 😮or just bored

tryingtobesogood · 16/07/2025 14:01

I keep making mistakes in my new job and it feels so stressful. None are big but they make me look and feel incompetent. Not all are my fault, it’s a team that have worked together for a long time and have a shorthand with each other. I check and check I’ve understood what I’m being asked, but still get it wrong. So frustrating.

Grieving my twin boys. Lost them 20 months ago at birth. I've since had their little sister but trying to navigate this with grief too.

Oh goodness, I’m so sorry ❤️

Wrong forum? I think you were aiming for Pedants' Corner.

More likely Wankers Crescent

ohfourfoxache · 16/07/2025 13:57

I want my mum. Lost her in August. Cancer.

Probably going to lose my job in the latest NHS restructure

DS1 (10) autistic, lonely, not having a great time at school, getting increasingly violent with me and his younger brother. He’s starting to leave bruises and gives his brother nosebleeds

No energy to do anything, at the moment I just want to cry my eyes out

I know I’m luckier than a lot of other people, objectively I’m ok. Just feels pretty shit sometimes

2catsandhappy · 16/07/2025 13:56

My twin sister has come out with a tsunami of 40 years of grudges and grievances against me. I am blindsided and shocked and grieving memories I can't trust anymore.
My eldest dd has a MS diagnosis and health problems and a new treatment is chemo. Very overwhelmed right now.

Klp122 · 16/07/2025 13:56

Narc DB causing trouble and division in the family. Instead of being accountable for his actions which have caused extreme hurt, he is blaming everyone else.

Helping elderly DM over 3 hours away try to sort out her Power of Attorney and trying to get DF to do the same.

MIL with dementia in a care home also over 3 hours away.

DDog has quickly growing lump on flank, awaiting test results from vet.

Tired of my work environment and control freak, micromanaging line manager who replaced lovely previous boss who retired , waiting for new boss to start in a few months time but ultimately I need to get out and find a new job....but there aren't that many suitable ones around at the moment and the ones that are never get back to me Sad

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 16/07/2025 13:55

Sending much love to all of you out there, struggling.

My petty little worries are now in complete perspective (and I feel slightly guilty about worrying about them at all). But I suppose it's all subjective isn't it?

DH has stage 5 kidney failure and is going to have his catheter put in for dialysis tomorrow.

Lafufufu · 16/07/2025 13:50

My job and my health 🫠😬

Ted27 · 16/07/2025 13:49

On a lighter note to parents ill health, I have a bumper crop of black and redcurrant taking up a whole freezer. Going to have to make jam
And too many cucumbers

This really is the most tone deaf post someone could put on here, how completely thoughtless

Blarn · 16/07/2025 13:49

I've come off a temporary promotion and need to tell dh that how we split our finances isn't working now. To which he will reply a) do you need me to up the money I transfer to you each month? b) what bills or outgoings can I pick up instead? or c) offer to do both of those. But I have been putting off telling him for a month or so now, Im short of money and it's my own making. I've never been able to discuss things that worry me.

Hopefully you feel better now, getting that off your chest.

SEN daughter not coping at mainstream but doesn't meet threshold for special needs.

Sorry to hear this. It was the same for my son. Homeschooled for 2 years then finally aporoved for special needs schooling. But no place so we have been waiting for 2 years😒. It's relentless.

YetAnotherNewUserMoniker · 16/07/2025 13:46

Too many variables that I have no control over (work, 4DC and a voluntary commitment that is increasingly time consuming and I need to give up
but am struggling to as there’s no one else to do it). Feel that I am doing nothing properly but can’t find any more time in the day.

Always feeling guilty for not doing stuff properly and particularly concerned that DC will suffer.

Also seem to have multiple people offloading their problems onto me but no one is really interested if I’m not useful to them.

Really need to sort it out and get some time off but too knackered to do so!

Hoping that seeing it written down will give me the push I need.

Much sympathy to those of you who are going through so much worse.

This post is really misplaced given the very distressing circumstances people have been posting about.

Mine is dealing with the aftermath of my husbands affair, and divorce, finances, house move etc

Bettyboop2530 · 16/07/2025 13:44

My 3 year old son has severe chronic eczema which he's now been on Methotrexate since 1st Feb. Kills me everyday I can't make it better for him. He also has a peanut allergy which is petrifying and global delay so quite challenging behaviour at times..
But he and his brother are my absolute world so we'll get through it together x

That my DH has ruined everything by having an affair, which he now seems to be massively regretful about, loves me and wants to make it work. I don’t, but I have children with additional needs which makes leaving very hard.

Kbroughton · 16/07/2025 13:39

SpeakMyLanguage · 16/07/2025 13:09

First world problems really, but my job is exhausting and is affecting my health and I cannot see how I can sustain it for much longer.

Trying to work up the energy to plan a sensible exit and find something that won’t be too much of a pay cut fr fewer hours/stress, but it’s not going to be easy.

That's not a first world problem. Having to stay in a job that is seriously effecting your health because you cant afford it otherwise definitely qualifies as a problem . A first world problem is having to reduce down to one holiday a year.
