Divorce now that my husband has finally admitted he’s not in love with me anymore after a year of separation and hope.
No job, no house, no local friends, fat, depressed, and have EUPD.

hope you get your new bathroom and car sorted.

LA attempting to water down my SEN DD's EHCP (which I spent two years fighting for) at annual review, plus she was totally overwhelmed at a mainstream high school open day. Maybe other's will be better, but they'll all be too big and noisy, and there's no obvious alternative as she's too academic for special schools.

My 13 year old nephew unexpectedly died in April, just after his birthday and before our trip to Disney. My children are completely broken especially my 14 year old. They were best friend, raised together like siblings. I genuinely loved that boy like my own. My sister is a single mum and he was her entire world. My entire family is devastated and I can't help anyone. My 6ft 3 son woke me up in a state the other night and I sat on the stairs and held him while he sobbed in my arms. I'm so worried about them all, I wish I could do something.

I’m so so sorry. this happened to a friend of mine, to her nephew… tho it doesn’t sound like the families were as close as yours. It sounds so difficult @naturalcrackle111
I just wanted to say that the whole family had grief counselling collectively and individually and it did help the younger ones a lot.
sending love xxx

My controlling partner, I’d love to not tread on egg shells and feel anxious daily

My 3 year old son has severe chronic eczema which he's now been on Methotrexate since 1st Feb. Kills me everyday I can't make it better for him. He also has a peanut allergy which is petrifying and global delay so quite challenging behaviour at times..
But he and his brother are my absolute world so we'll get through it together x

Hi @naturalcrackle111 my BF , her boys both had this - one had quite a lot of allergies which they gradually worked through and since he’s cut out is much better. She had to bandage them both every night / it was heartbreaking.
I thought you’d want to know they’re both now grown up brilliant men, look amazing, glowing, healthy, sporty, great jobs and relationships. you will get through it, take each day as it comes and worth exploring allergies. good luck xxxx

I’m in 35k of credit card debt and spend every waking moment worrying about money. All my own fault so nothing I can do really. Reading some of the responses on here really puts my problem into perspective - sending everyone so much love.

Hedjwitch · 16/07/2025 14:21

Gosh, sending love to all who are coping with huge burdens.

ZiggyZowie · 16/07/2025 14:20

I also have 2 sons, one of whom is Aspbergers but he manages a job and flat.
The other son is 200 miles away.

I totally get the struggle with life admin and forgetting things. I also have 5 children all with their own things going on. My eldest has just been diagnosed with with endometriosis and ibs, ds has appointments later in the year to discuss a big operation, dd2 lives 200 miles away and I worry about her loads and my grandchild, dd3 is 11 and is going through a rebellious stage and dd4 has just been diagnosed with adhd and autism. I’ve been diagnosed with bpd, adhd and dyslexia and trying to help them all and dealing with stress, anxiety and overwhelm is tipping me over the edge. I don’t have the headspace for it

Sorry that was in response to @elliejjtiny

Mine is a first world one. Im a total career failure,M.A, other qualifications, never earned over £36k. Just took a wrong turn at every junction and ended up struggling. But I have my health and I'm pretty good with money so... its okay.

I've had some horrible abusive relationships likely a result of my dad being abusive and me just thinking I was nothing. Im in my 40s now and although I have began seeing someone recently, I am incredibly anxious about everything and often finding i do not act myself around her at all. Nervous and sort of feel I am pretending to be someone i am not.

ZiggyZowie · 16/07/2025 14:19

My daughter has been bedbound for 7 years with severe M.E.
Dealing with all her care and also her 2 sisters who are autistic/learning disabilities.
Exhausted with stress and worry for their future.
Limited help available. Can't go on holiday or get a break as needed every day.
Just can't see a good future or a chance there may a recovery from M.E.

TreeDudette · 16/07/2025 14:17

My SEN child started home educating last year (Yr9) and I've made choices for her for next year to do just 3 GCSEs as I think it's all she can cope with but she is lonely and a bit bored (so so much better than burned out and selectively mute). Getting the balance right is hard and I worry ao much about her future and her ever being employable.

One disabled child, struggling to get her what she needs and struggling with her behaviour. Long, long waiting for the support with it that we need now. Dreading the summer holidays as her needs are really going to limit what we can do with my boys as well.

Another DS with type 1 diabetes which is just draining as you have to think about it all day every day and awake constantly in the night managing it. On the pathway for a pump though which will hopefully improve things a bit.

House needs a huge amount of work doing and absolutely no money to do any of it or move. Desperately trying to debts paid so we can save some money towards work or moving.

Waiting for FIL to have tests to see how well/if cancer treatment has worked.

I know it's nothing like some of these heart breaking posts. Waiting for a hospital appointment in August to get my non verbal almost 3 year olds ears checked. Been told that if his ears are fine then I'm going to have to start the process of him being assessed for autism as not talking isn't the only concern the health services have about him😔

Hating my job, trying to figure out a better and healthier way to live for whatever remaining working years I have which doesn't crucify my mental health. As a PP said, a relatively first world problem but stressful and unpleasant for now.

Same here.

tiutinkerbell · 16/07/2025 14:11

We just don't earn enough money to keep up with the basic cost of living and it is a fight every single month despite both of us working as hard as we can.

Olinguita · 16/07/2025 14:11

Chronically depressed DH and widowed MIL who is an alcoholic and keeps lurching from crisis to crisis and has often landed up in hospital due to drinking. We are scared every time we can a call from friends or neighbours about MIL that it will be THAT call. Living with the guilt, anxiety and other mixed emotions that come with this predicament...if you have ever had an alcoholic in the family you know what I'm talking about.
But we keep our heads above water and we are fortunate in many aspects of our lives. Reading some of the posts here has been quite a reality check for me today. My heart goes out to those of you experiencing such devastating losses and hardships in life ❤️

Mine is people who have no capacity for empathy, and take delight in posting insensitive and obviously goady responses when they can see people have real stress and trauma in their lives.

elliejjtiny · 16/07/2025 14:08

Dc1 is going to university in just over a month and I'm worried he won't come back
Dc2 is 7 months into what was supposed to be a 2 month waiting list for minor surgery but he has autism and can't stand anyone touching him. I'm scared he won't cope and have a screaming meltdown in the hospital which is going to be traumatic for everyone as he is 17 and man sized and going to be on the children's day surgery ward.
Dc3 is 14 months into a 3 year wait to be assessed for adhd and he's really struggling.
Dc4 has an appointment this week to discuss a shadow on his x ray
Dc5 is going to secondary school in September and the LA is refusing to fund his ehcp properly.

I'm dyslexic and really struggling with life admin at the moment. Managed to forget youngest 's swimming trunks this morning because i thought it was next week he had swimming and goodness knows what else I've forgotten.

My health. I had failed surgery to remove parathyroid glands in 2017 and I’ve been deteriorating ever since. Multiple ED admissions with tachycardia of 130 bpm etc. Minerals and electrolytes all over the place dangerously so. No surgeon in Ireland with expertise to help me. Trying to get scans on a disk to surgeon in England has taken over 3 months to date due to incompetent Endocrine secretary. She’s going to give me a heart attack literally!
