Fluff

WondererWanderer · 10/07/2025 23:07

Ooh actually no I prefer Fartykins 💨

SquishedMallow · 10/07/2025 23:07

I mean , I prefer "blow off". Love that turn of phrase !

Not a big fan of 'fart' my ott mother thinks it's a swear word 😅 and told us as much when we were small.

I hate "wank" - especially when used inappropriately for female masturbation. Hate it. Don't like 'tits' 'arse' either. (Well done mum, I've done you proud!)

WondererWanderer · 10/07/2025 23:07

Fartyartus 💨💨💨💨💨💨

We don’t fart in our family we read Proust

Well then instead of ‘baking brownies’ I guess you guys are ‘baking madeleines’.

💨

Hi @BarBellBarbie
The upvote is disallowed 😂
Onomatopoeia means sounds as word spelt eg whoosh, bam, aitchoo

I would probably fart with surprise if someone's ass proclaimed the wors "fart" is it left their bottom recess 🤭

Yes, we too are a far more educated family than these ghastly people giggling about parps all the time.

We favour much more highbrow pursuits instead, such as musical theatre. Our best-loved production is Whistle Down The Wind.

We used to call it a botty burp as little kids. Anyone else?

Didn't the Purple Ronnie Vimto ads ages ago talk about bottom burps?

A wonderful woman I worked with in a support role years ago used to proudly announce "ayy Richie. I've blown off" (she couldn't pronounce my name, hence the "richie"). Anyone within a 5 mile radius knew she'd "blown off", but her joy and relief was infectious. We'd have a little high 5 to celebrate.

For some reason, I'm imagining her as a Viz character now!

YABVVU.

Fart is a great word. Poetic. Onomatopoeic.

And farts are hilarious. Always have been and always will be.

I'll upvote this!

whatcanthematterbe81 · 09/07/2025 23:10

It’s just a word tho.

weareallcats · 09/07/2025 23:10

Fart is the most straightforward and therefore best word.

In Scotland we say pump.

Omg no 😂
Pump means shag in Scotland!

And fart too! Well at least it did when I was a kid!

Donotgiveashit · 09/07/2025 23:02

Trump is far more offensive for more reasons than fart !

scalt · 09/07/2025 23:01

Has nobody mentioned whizzpopping yet?

Stiffnewknee · 09/07/2025 23:00

Toottooot · 09/07/2025 20:29

Reallly? Nobody I know uses pump🤷🏻‍♀️

Yep definitely’pump’, I didn’t know any other word for it until I was about 10!

DiscoBeat · 09/07/2025 23:00

BOTTOM PUFFS.
Better?

Radiatorvalves · 09/07/2025 22:58

I’ve been through 5 pages of farty lingo to check whether anyone else did windy pops… nope. Just me then! 😳

Thsts one I didn’t use with my kids who stick to farting.

i think that we should all call them Trumps, in honour of the Dear Leader. 🤢

GingersOwner26 · 09/07/2025 22:55

honeyytoast · 09/07/2025 21:38

wooftie??

I have no idea where it came from, I've never heard anyone outside of my stepfamily (and my dad, once they were together) say it. I always refused (ten year old me thought the word was stupid, and years later I still do).

PyongyangKipperbang · 09/07/2025 22:54

Love the logic of Mouth Fart!

It cannot possible be criticised as it is the opposite of Bottom Burp.

BoldUser · 09/07/2025 22:50

meditated · 09/07/2025 22:40

I taught dc to say pardon-me. ‘Did you do a pardon-me?’ But then they started school…

As pp, I also dislike rude/ swear words and fart sounds pretty rude even though people on here keep saying it’s the correct word.

I have been seeking another user of this phrasing and you’re the first- unless you’re from the same family of course! Did you make it up or was it used during your upbringing too?
