Where I live most people have had some sort of work done. People who haven’t have said to me they feel they are aging badly, until Inpoint out they just haven’t done anything to their face. I think women in the public eye or who are high profile probably really feel a need to stay “young”.

Tbf I thought she looked amazing in her wedding dress, I don’t know if she was wearing a corset but her figure looked stunning.

Not the only one! I remember when they had a promotion with Hotmail and gave every Hotmail user a $10 voucher to use with no strings attached. I ordered a book that I had been looking for forever and couldn't believe that it just arrived through the mail, completely for free. Needless to say, a loyal Amazon user ever since.

DH made a similar comment when we saw a young lady looking pretty similar to that today.

My response was, well while I might look at her and think “what a mess, why has she done that to herself?” she probably looks at me in my tracky pants, no makeup and towel dried hair thinking “what a mess, why doesn’t she make more effort”.

Meh, it's a matter of taste.

I wouldn't want to look like that, but then I wouldn't want to marry Jeff Bezos, either.

(Wouldn't mind being divorced from him, though...)

Bezos first wife helped him set up the business and is a distinguished author. She took half his money in the divorce settlement so he's gone for a bimbo second time around

I think a better question is why do we as a society seemingly value women so much on their looks and youth and then slag them off to fuck for trying to look as youthful and attractive as possible when the inevitable aging happens.

The point is that we need to stop valuing women for looking ‘young’ (they don’t, fyi). Agreeing they do is feeding the problem.

Because to celebs etc, as bad as it looks, having the weird fake swollen puffy cat eye look is STILL better than wrinkles. That’s how they think. Anything is better than wrinkles! It’s really sad.. they look so alien
