To avoid Muslim friend

I can't stand listenting to it any more.Tatbir, Gaza and so on. Unrelenting pain.
In addition.....
Where do I go when I die ( as a non believer?)
Where will my gay son go?

I say this as somebody who has worked in community projects and is passionately against racism.

It's all old testament stuff... Levicticus, full of vengeful smiting. There was a re-brand amd change of thinking with the new testament but I do remember getting quoted the old testament in assemblies when we were little. Get the feeling there's a lot of 'picking and choosing when it suits' that goes on.

Most religions are problematic. To single out Islam is islamohobic.

Tatbir is just nuts, and you have every right to point this out - you don't have to tiptoe around someone else's delusions.
I worked with many Muslim people over the years, and if asked, I would always say that I was an an atheist and strongly believed there is not such thing as a god, creator, afterlife etc. What they made of that was up to them 😀

YABVVU for proclaiming Cumbria is best when everywhere else in the country seems to be having lovely hot weather (admittedly too hot and we have had advantages of it being cooler) and for the next week my weather app shows nothing but rain!

I can’t stand it happening so understand why people focus on it, but also understand why you need a break from the atrocity, I’m not sure I understand the bit about “where will your gay son go when he dies” that’s up to his and your beliefs , I think nowhere because I don’t believe in god, some conservative christians will say hell but obviously that’s insurance and homophobic - but I don’t really get that part of your question ?

I’m not sure what Gaza has to do with it exactly? but I’mo it’s pretty sad what’s going on there. I won’t go into it but a lot (AHELLOFALOT) of people have suffered a lot :(
