I always move out the way

So today I finally said it out loud whoops, three young ladies around 16-18years old I’d say, crossed over to my side of the road. We all proceeded to start on the single width stretch of path approx five terrace houses in length.
As we neared each other I ( of course) stepped into the road, they walked single file past in silence no nod or smile etc.
As number two passed I cheerfully said” thank you girls” number three looked up and smiled to which I said “ that was a little reminder for your manners”,
she had the grace to look a little embarrassed

I do laugh when people are rude when they remind other people to remember their manners.

The OP wasn’t the rude one!

Good for you, stepping into the road like that.

Well at least you gave them something to laugh about.

Good for you OP.

Really really annoys me when people - of all generations - hog the whole of the pavement and expect everyone to get out of their way.
And like you i get very annoyed by lack of manners- again by all generations- when negotiating moving about in public spaces.
