Anyone else? I tuned in last night and couldn't believe how bad it was! 1975 was headlining and it was so middle or the road.

Maybe I'm getting old but the music was awful!!! So bland. Im early 40s 🤣

What are your thoughts?

The rapper has doubled down on his chant and posted pictures about something to do with his daughters school dinners

And what a tiresom, self-righteous post that was - which he has perhaps paid to promote on Facebook since it turned up on my feed without me expressing any interest in him. There's something really wrong with someone's thinking when they divide the response they received into 'support and hatred'. If he'd said support and disagreement I might have had a smidgeon of respect for him.

Fortunately Glastonbury don’t agree with you and have put a statement out on the group’s incitement to hatred and violence.

I think it was one of the BEST I've seen. I've never been but have a ritual of watching it on tv every year and don't know what I'm going to do with myself next year!

I enjoyed watching some old favourites and great new discoveries. I loved Wunderhorse, The Prodigy, Four Tet, Fat Dog, Alanis, Rod, Wet Leg, Haim, Pulp, Snow Patrol, Weezer, English Teacher, Osees, Supergrass. Glastonbury really has something for everyone but it helps if you try to keep an open mind and positive attitude (and to be stoned while watching).

Im not sure you understand. The IDF is an army. If someone said Death to IDF soldiers then it’s different. The IDF as an organisation is abhorrent and that’s what Bob was referring to. He wasn’t and I wasn’t condoning the calling for the killing of people. His desire and mine is exactly the opposite of that. If I said Death to the National Front - I wouldn’t mean killing the people in it but and end to the organisation. If I said Death to racism - I would mean kill all racists but to end racism as an ideology.

So it’s ok if it’s a group of people, death to… anyone?

No because I’m a person…and the IDF is not. I would rather people’s feeling were hurt than to continue watching children be murdered and starved though

Where did he say that? Genuinely not trying to be disingenuous…I hate terrorism and what Hamas did and does is disgusting. But I am equally sickened by the IDF

I think you've got a bit mixed up maybe. We've been discussing what an earlier poster said. That was a direct quote from that poster. That's what I think is hate speech.

Would you be ok with the same directed to you as long as it had a good ring to it.

"Death to those motherfkers" does not mean let's disable the army.

You're being wholly disingenuous.

Doesn’t have quite the same ring to it does it 😊
When we say “eat the rich” - we don’t mean chomp down on a Bezos steak.
When people say “kill the patriarchy” - they don’t mean murder men. They men dismantle misogyny.
You can’t kill an organisation.

They weren't shouting "dismantle the IDF" though.

Only know Olivia and Alanis

No. It’s calling for the dismantling of an evil army to save those youngsters from compulsory military service. Perspective is everything

The guy said the stuff about the IDF because he wanted the publicity by appearing edgy, he probably doesn't know a thing about it, like most of the audience who proudly support Hamas, but don't know about Hamas' history with music festivals.

Supporting innocent Palestinians is not the same as supporting Hamas. The same as supporting the Jewish faith is not the same as supporting zionists

Tangfastic71 · 29/06/2025 23:17

Willyoujustbequiet · 29/06/2025 11:25

Isn't military service compulsory in Israel? Everyone has to.

In which case that's calling for the death of everyone from a specific race surely?. Absolutely a hate crime.

He was saying death to the IDF because they are Jewish, that is inciting hate and violence. Notice how he didn’t say death to hamas.

He's an attention seeking wanker I hope he gets arrested although that's probably what he wants to be some kind of Glasto martyr. All the flag wavers would love it.

He wasn’t though Gloria. It wasn’t because they are Jewish - it’s because they have killed babies and children and there’s video evidence of it. Watch this from Bob, it’s far more representative of who he is

Did anyone catch the Maccabees? Absolutely brilliant and Florence Welch joined them and they played Dog days are over. They are a great band.

Prodigy are just a great live band. I’ve seen them a couple of times.

Friday was shite but it has been better since then.

BeachLife2 · 29/06/2025 22:54

I went for the first time this year (I’m nearly 50) and it was awesome. Never mind the big names, the smaller acts and the dance areas are incredible. An atmosphere you just can’t imagine from watching what’s televised.

Sweetpea59 · 29/06/2025 22:34

Prodigy have just been about the music, no lectures or political rants 😍 They deserve to headline the Pyramid stage with their show tonight!
If you're a "celeb" you have to go & be seen. Daily Mail has been all about Holly Willoughby "leading the stars at Glatonbury". One phrase that annoys me is "leading the stars" ugghh!
