Nothing about being able to opt out of DNA testing?

So why is there no mention of being able to opt out of this? Isn't this just going to encourage some people to avoid engaging with HCPs altogether?

You mean, be able to opt out of their DNA being sold to American companies for profit?

I totally agree, this should be a right. As it was just a few short years, even months, ago, before Britain’s elites decided they want AI. No one would have had to consider the question at all back when we had European citizenship rights.

We are all owned by the lords and masters who invaded us in 1066. Owning serfs isn’t good enough for them anymore - they want ownership of our bodies, thoughts, and ability to reproduce. In other words, they view us as slaves.

There will be a code 115 on your driving licence - opposite side to photograph, in the bottom left hand corner - if you're opted in. This is how I discovered they'd opted me back in.

It'll be like organ donation where they've made it difficult to opt out and everyone is automatically opted in. I opted out a few years ago, then found out through my driving licence card that I'd been opted in again. I've had to go through two different websites to opt back out.

The state believe they own your body, living or dead.

How do we opt out?
I wish to do so and 5 out of 6 of my adult kids to do the same want to do the same.

Regarding the OP's original post about newborns. It's all good apart from data breaches. Which happen regularly. See 23andMe DNA data breach. Would you honestly trust the NHS to keep such important data safe? They have already been subject to data breaches.

Insurance companies can save themselves millions by having this information.

Presumably you'd happily accept an organ donation if you were in desperate need. You just don't want to donate organs that you have no need of anymore that could change another persons life. Nice.

I take it you haven't come across the case in N. America where the donor began to show signs of life prior to taking the organs? The surgeon insisted that the theatre team continue and they refused.

Oh, and on blood donation, there was a thread a fortnight or so ago about how hard people now found it to donate blood

ETA as in logistically. Not much supply of services and whatnot
