Where are the trans men?

BlueandPinkSwan · 27/06/2025 12:11

Just that really, we are always hearing about men wanting to 'become women'. Phycially, mentally and emotionally impossible, but why aren't women rushing to do the same thing in reverse?
Just interested to know as I'm gender critical, and hate the patriarcal society we live in.
Is it because men wouldn't accept it as a trans man being part of their tribe but women are forced to put up with trans women invading /trying to enter into woman only spaces?

Is this the trans debate equivalent of NAMALT?

And what the fuck is wrong with saying not all ( insert subject) are like that?
I see people saying NAMALT! You just said NAMALT! all the time on here like it's some gotcha but yeah...let's all tar everyone with the same brush shall we.

It feels like you want to make anyone who doesn’t capitulate to this ideology feel uncomfortable and have their reality denied. And it’s trans people are the ones who don’t accept themselves.

Transpeople do accept themselves

They accept that they are who they are inside

Bigots like you are the ones not accepting them

If you're uncomfortable it's because your hate and discrimination is being called out

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 28/06/2025 20:34

DoctorRoseReturns · 28/06/2025 20:32

Ye, I will stay on the side of being inclusive and considerate and won't openly admit to being a hate filled bigot who only believes those who want to divide us

Edited

You are the definition of bigot. Considerate to men only. Slow hand clap for you.

DownWhichOfLate · 28/06/2025 20:33

DoctorRoseReturns · 28/06/2025 20:13

You're freely admitting to wanting to make people uncomfortable and make their lives difficult and make them feel unaccepted?

There is no reality to deny. There is a reality to refuse to accept...

I know which side I'd rather be on and the hate filled side is not the one

Pomegranatecarnage · 28/06/2025 20:33

There are plenty of trans men. They’ve grown up without male privilege so don’t tend to demand their rights as forcefully. They pose no threat to men in any domain. They tend to “pass” more easily too. I suppose they’re just getting on with their lives.

DoctorRoseReturns · 28/06/2025 20:32

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 28/06/2025 20:31

But women who feel uncomfortable, fuck them
eh.

The women in prison, the women who attended a rape crisis centre who couldn’t ask to
be reassured that they would receive sessions where they shared their rape experiences only with a biological female without being called a bigot, the women having their sporting success stolen by mediocre men, women of certain religions who don’t want to be in certain spaces with men. Or women who just don’t want to be around biological
men for privacy and dignity reasons. I could give other examples. Fuck all those women (the ones with vaginas) who refuse to indulge in a lie. THAT is hate.

The feelings and rights of a tiny minority override all
of them. Material reality isn’t as important as the FEELINGS of those men.

So yeah you stay on that side.

Statistically trangender men are just as common as transgender women.

But as a demographic they haven't garnered an obsessive following of haters who gather together on online boards to share stories of transgressive behaviours (in exactly the same way the far right are constantly sharing stories of crimes committed by brown people and Muslims) so they're simply less visible on social media and in the culture.

This is a crock of shit

Transmen are more likely to "pass" and so go unnoticed

Most Transwomen just want to get on with their lives without being bullied or scared or treated differently. But they are more likely to be attacked or demeaned so they have to be more vocal and fight. Funnily enough, the same struggle women go through. All the arguments about "shutting up and people wouldn't have an issue with them" have been used about women fighting for their rights.

There's also a certain misogyny in your comment about beauty pageants. "A woman who looked like that"... really?

To add to this, plenty of people do see transmen as men

Elliot Page isn't treated as an actress.

Ash Palmisciano from Emmerdale isn't an actress

Chris Mosier competed in 2016 for the men's team at the World Championships
Schuyler Bailar competed as a male swimmer
Patricio Manuel has boxing titles in the men's category

Transmen are equally there competing against cismen, and winning.

There are many TiFs. Generally, though, their reasons/motivations for doing it are different.

There's a huge element of misogyny in TiM which leads (some of) them to behave very aggressively towards women. TiF generally just want to be able to get on with their lives in peace and unnoticed.

Despite people's adherence to TWAW and TMAM, everyone knows deep down that they haven't really changed sex. So everyone knows whose wants and demands to prioritise and whose to ignore.

There are some people who are very uncomfortable with the idea of women being able to say no to men, women's needs being prioritised over men's wants and men 'losing out' because of women.

Female people don't pose any threat to males.

When a TM wanted access to a gay male sauna, the men refused on the basis she wasn't a real man. The men's wants/rights were upheld.

Conversely, women have been denied medical treatment, for saying they wanted to he treated by a woman and not a man who said he was one.

Even before the ruling, TM weren't considered real men - eg primogenture laws didn't recognise them as men and no company has ever recognised a TM for an award aimed at recognising men. Whereas TiMs have not only won but been applauded and celebrated for winning women's business awards and even beauty contests where they wouldn’t have even been the most attractive man in the room! A woman who looked like them wouldn't even have entered.

TM are largely ignored because a) they pose no threat to men and b) society still sees them as women.

So men who identify as women can punch women in the boxing ring, because otherwise they might encounter transphobia?
Hardly a winning argument is it?

Except we are talking about a transMAN

So he's hitting men...

Also entirely possible that they wouldn't feel safe. A lot of mens sport is still wildly homophobic. If they can't accept gay people can live alongside them without wanting to jump on them, I don't suppose they're very understanding of trans people either.

Thinking about the PP whose trans husband is a prison officer in a male prison and is allowed in the showers with the male inmates.

What about strip searches?

Would a trans prison officer or a police officer be allowed to carry out a strip search on someone of the opposite sex?

Yes. And it has been happening.

The ruling said that this should no longer happen but one of the police forces came put afterwards and said they were still going to permit it.

Boxers are notoriously the sorts of men who feel 'unsafe'. What with being boxers and all.

I've become good friends with a trans man at work. I don't even remember/consider the fact he was born female, unless we are discussing trans issues in general. But it is knowing him and having those discussions that makes me realise it isn't as simple as "use the bathroom you were assigned as birth". He'd get lynched walking into the ladies!
