I watched an episode of Black Mirror yesterday. It had self driving cars, robot honey bees, all kinds of stuff. But the most futuristic thing in it? Every single time someone tried to plug in a USB stick, they got it right first time. Every. Single. Time. The future is going to be awesome! (Aside from the robot honey bees murdering 387,000 people.)

The 19yos are probably more willing to take the money and in need of it and the exposure being with him brings though. A 30 year old is more likely to be married/in a long term relationship/have an established career/just doesn't have the time for nonsense.

And there's also probably an element of us being more likely to discuss the fact that his girlfriends are so young. If you're getting a girlfriend just for show and to throw off people's gaydars, then you're going to make sure you're getting your moneys worth and it's getting noticed, right??!!

I could have written this exact post. I have heard the exact same rumours, and agree with everything in your post.

All the model 'girlfriends' of his are fakes/beards. None of them are ever over 25, they never go beyond dating, they always look the same, (blonde, blue eyed, pretty Victoria's Secret model types,) they always have the same pics taken (by the papparazzi,) of them 'kissing' and cycling together, and then we see newspaper articles where a 'source' says they're crazy about each other, she is getting interested in his environmental issues and supporting him in it etc etc, and his friends love her...

Then after a while (6-9 months) they start to be seen together less, she is getting a bit bored, and he is seen without her a lot, has his birthday and Christmas without her, and holidays with mates without her... And then a 'source' says she is getting tired of him and how it's not quite working anymore, then a few months down the line they finish. (Sometimes they just finish with no warning.) But they never live together, go to awards ceremonies or weddings or family stuff together, they never get engaged, they never get married.

I don't know how dumb Leo thinks his fans are. He is clearly gay (and yes Lukas Haas is very likely his long term partner.) I understand why he won't/hasn't 'come out.' As a pp said, it would have damaged his career so badly if he had come out 2 or 3 decades ago ... And maybe the ship has sailed now.....?

I wish he would stop dating 19 year olds when he's 50 though. I like him as a person/an actor/a celebrity, but find this side of him grim and abhorrent. At least get a beard who is over 30 Leo FFS!

Another one homing in on socks. If you do have pairs that escape the Eater of Socks and come out of the wash as pairs, and you know that one of them has a small hole in the toe section - or is just wearing thin towards that eventuality - you always manage to put that sock on the same foot again, even if you are not looking. Even if you balled them up on autopilot and there's no way they could be in any intentional configuration.

NOT a conspiracry theory. As a pp said, that is true! This applies moreso on a Saturday though than a Friday. The school used to do it, so does the NHS, and the DWP, and the Inland Reveue, and the GP etc...

This sounds dramatic, and possibly even fake, but I swear this is true...

I never open post on a Saturday morning. I take it from the postbox, don't look at it, and stick it on top of the fridge until Monday. No matter what it is, it can wait til Monday. As has been said, many things can't be dealt with til Monday anyway, so what's the point in opening the mail on a Saturday? I got tired of getting a letter on a Saturday that worried me/stressed me out and I couldn't deal with it til Monday. So I stopped opening the mail that arrives on Saturday and I wait til Monday.

People don’t always grasp that celebrities’ careers affect other people’s jobs - the celebrity’s agent, manager, household staff, personal trainer, stylist, gardener, stylist, publicist. Everyone around a celebrity has an interest in making sure that person stays famous and keeps working.

Yes, I have had 'we have an exceptionally high volume of calls right now, please consider trying again later' message quite often - especially with my energy provider, my insurance company, my internet service provider, and the council. (Plus many Government and civil service office/phone lines.)

Sometimes they say there is a wait time of approximately 30-40 minutes. I hang on, (put my phone on handsfree and get on with something,) and half the time they answer after 5-10 minutes. I think they are trying to put people off, and make them hang up, in the hope they will not bother again, or will find the answer to their issue on the internet or something. The only one I can think of who DOES have a long wait (when they give this message) is my GP Practice.

Sometimes you get through in between 3 and 6 minutes, but when that Godawful message pops up, you can wait 40 minutes. I usually don't, and will often try later.

@Sophiehoney you are on to something here. It was the same as Duncan from Blue. Took him years to come out because he was the heart throb of the and. They wouldn’t have been as successful if he admitted he was gay early on!

I actually believe this is true. I lost my glasses at work for several months once and ended up going to get a new pair as I felt I should probably get them replaced. Had an eye test at the same time and my eye sight had improved. Still worked on a computer all day long like before. The only difference was no glasses. Started wearing my new pair which had a lower prescription and at my last test, my eyes had got worse again!

Tech and white goods companies purposely make products in a way that makes them unable to be repaired, so you have to buy new, and the parts they use are built to last just long enough for the warranty to run out.
