Silly little conspiracies you believe in

Not serious ones like Diana was murdered etc, but silly little ones.

For example,

when it comes to wipes in a packet, I’m positive they rig it so more than one wipe comes out at a time. Then they make the sticky reseal not as sticky so they dry out quicker meaning you have to go and buy more instead of using what you’ve got

My iPhone can read my mind- I just have to think about something and I start getting adverts. 🤯

Nothing to worry about , you're just part of the matrix. 😶

Definitely my iphone listens to conversations.
Discussed an obscure topic.

Hospitals ensure you always go over the 30 minute free car park limit. Every time I go to a certain local hospital, it happens. Thirty nine minutes today. Annoyingly, these extra nine minutes was due to circling the car park looking for a space, and the person before me mis-typing his reg in, so took longer than necessary.

That every important letter sent by local authorities, the NHS, lawyers etc. will be carefully timed to arrive on a Friday or Saturday so that you have to stew on it all weekend without being able to respond.

Social Services will often hit you at Christmas - not just because they're a bit satanic or to ruin your festivities, but because you'll struggle to get in touch with anyone over the holidays, MP or lawyer, chances are they can't be reached until 7 January or so, so they've got you.

Hmmmm yes, some good points. But Leo dating a 19 y.o is just 💀

Not if he's not actually dating them!!

I need this to be true. I've always like Leo but the only dstong young women part has put me off him. It's too icky.

If this is true I can go back to liking him again!!

OK, so I've just gone on google and I've had a look at the two dresses side by side an I now 100% believe your theory. That is the same bloody dress!!!

But the first dress had some embroidery on the bottom of the skirt which the second dress didn’t.

Oh my gosh that's so clever I didn't even realise they were a thing

We got ours at a supermarket, but search Amazon for Silicon Lids, they have loads.

FastMauveQuoter · 27/06/2025 23:09

Yep, so we bought those silicone stretchy lids, best money spent as more and more pots have these nonsense lids. Maybe it's a ploy to get us to buy the silicone lids!

The TV show Sex Education was commissioned by the government to educate our teens.

I would also assume they commissioned naked attraction too so kids can see no 2 bodies are ever the same

Apple put a chip in their iPhones so that after two years the battery life suddenly plummets, life becomes unmanageable anc you have to buy a new one.

Batteries last for approx 1000 charges. Whether you plug it in for 2 seconds or 8 hours you’ve used a “charge” which is why the battery deteriorates after approx 2 years. It’s not intentional it’s how long rechargeable batteries last.

That the bus on the opposite side to which you need always comes first

And that it always rains on the afternoon school run

Someone that knows about weather explained to me once why it does actually always rain on the afternoon school run.

Something about atmospheric pressure and time of day and temperature and it being a little bit inevitable that if it’s going to rain, it will at around that time. If that makes sense.

I didn’t google to fact check because I don’t need to, because IT IS TRUE.

I worked with someone who had previously worked in a debt collectors, they always sent their letters on a Friday.

How dare you. Sudocreme is a little pot of miracles. Love the stuff. Always have some in the house even though mine are out of nappies. It cures everything

I love sudocreme too.
But one pot lasts a lifetime.
How does the company survive?

Fuck!

There's an invented technology to make very robust untearable tights, but big tight companies bought it and aren't releasing it.

It's thought that a lot of new technology meets that fate, the big companies like to be in control.

I could have written this exact post. I have heard the exact same rumours, and agree with everything in your post.

All the model 'girlfriends' of his are fakes/beards. None of them are ever over 25, they never go beyond dating, they always look the same, (blonde, blue eyed, pretty Victoria's Secret model types,) they always have the same pics taken (by the papparazzi,) of them 'kissing' and cycling together, and then we see newspaper articles where a 'source' says they're crazy about each other, she is getting interested in his environmental issues and supporting him in it etc etc, and his friends love her...

Then after a while (6-9 months) they start to be seen together less, she is getting a bit bored, and he is seen without her a lot, has his birthday and Christmas without her, and holidays with mates without her... And then a 'source' says she is getting tired of him and how it's not quite working anymore, then a few months down the line they finish. (Sometimes they just finish with no warning.) But they never live together, go to awards ceremonies or weddings or family stuff together, they never get engaged, they never get married.

I don't know how dumb Leo thinks his fans are. He is clearly gay (and yes Lukas Haas is very likely his long term partner.) I understand why he won't/hasn't 'come out.' As a pp said, it would have damaged his career so badly if he had come out 2 or 3 decades ago ... And maybe the ship has sailed now.....?

I wish he would stop dating 19 year olds when he's 50 though. I like him as a person/an actor/a celebrity, but find this side of him grim and abhorrent. At least get a beard who is over 30 Leo FFS!

And the women are ALWAYS models. They’re never actresses or singers or even someone else in the film industry, like how Christian Bale met Winona Ryder’s assistant on the set of the 1994 Little Women and ended up marrying her. (I’ve heard of another couple of actors who married “backstage” people they met while filming.) Almost like…oh, I don’t know, almost like different modeling management people are deliberately finding women for Leo.

The other big Leo rumor, which I’ve only heard in the past few years, is that he allegedly hooks up with women for one-night stands, but doesn’t look at them and wears headphones during sex. Is that true? No idea. (It’s always, “My friend slept with him once and she said…”) But if it is true, it reads like he’s having sex he’s not really interested in having, and like he’s working really hard to avoid even the slightest emotional connection. Sort of like the “rules” I can imagine someone making if their partner was for some reason obligated to have sex with someone else, but the condition was that feelings could never, ever be involved. Like the partner would come home and be like, “You know it doesn’t mean anything. I didn’t even look her in the eye the whole time and I was barely paying attention to what we were doing. I even wore headphones!”

Sophiehoney · 27/06/2025 22:03

The 19yos are probably more willing to take the money and in need of it and the exposure being with him brings though. A 30 year old is more likely to be married/in a long term relationship/have an established career/just doesn't have the time for nonsense.

And there's also probably an element of us being more likely to discuss the fact that his girlfriends are so young. If you're getting a girlfriend just for show and to throw off people's gaydars, then you're going to make sure you're getting your moneys worth and it's getting noticed, right??!!

this one is HILARIOUS and i believe it

I once read that show houses use smaller scale furniture to conceal how small rooms are, the inner doors are often removed for the same reason.

There’s science to why it rains on the school run. It’s the hottest part of the day and thus the time that clouds are most likely to be saturated - resulting in rainfall

This one actually makes a lot of sense.
