Is it common that lots of boys dry hump at secondary school?

My 12 year old has frequently mentioned various boys in y7 dry humping each other, tables, chairs for a laugh. He hates it. My y10 said loads of boys in her school frequently engaged in this and promptly showed me a WhatsApp of boys jumping on sleeping boys ( on a school trip) and dry humping on them ‘for a laugh’. All very common and seemingly no big deal. It all looks ‘rough and tumble’ and boys being silly but I don’t remember dry humping being a thing in the 90s. Is this really a ‘thing’? If it happened outside school it would potentially be a very serious matter.

Was the WhatsApp on your DDs phone children at her school? Filming/taking photos of a child doing something to another child when they are asleep ‘for a laugh’ sounds like something the school and potentially the police need to be aware of.

I meant like with a girl, in a kissing and touching situation, alone.... I thought OP meant all the boys were talking about dry humping in that regard.

You need to raise this with the school. It is not acceptable. If school do not take appropriate action to stop it happening report it to Ofsted. This is a type of sexual offence and other students and staff should not be forced to put up with it. I'm a teacher and this would not be allowed to rake place where I work - students would be very seriously dealt with.

It shouldn't be , it's weird, schools should put a stop to it, who would want to be on the receiving end of that??

In the 90's it would be wresting or rough and tumble, which is only okay if all parties want to be involved in it.

I went to an all boys school.

Now that I think about it, yeah it was strangely common.
