My uncle will hoover his lunch and then stare at your plate like a hawk, and say stuff like "are you going to eat that roast potato?" Or he'll be looking at your packet of crisps and say "they look nice....". All the time eyeballs on the packet.

He actually made his 6 year old son cry at lunch on Sunday, we were out for a roast, and nephew was taking his toe , went to the loo,and whilst he was gone took his Yorkshire pudding (yes, I questioned it before he ate it and uncles response was "well, he's taking too long" and then he ate it. Nephew came back and was understandably upset.

it's fucking rude. Yes?

Is he overweight

Shatteredallthetimelately · 23/06/2025 17:40

Was the boys mum there?

Your uncle is rude.

I'd suggest to your uncle he goes to a Toby carvery that way he can help himself to the unlimited vegetables from the buffet instead of hovering over and stealing other peoples food.

DarkHollowTree · 23/06/2025 17:36

Hope he gets fucking gout.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 23/06/2025 17:35

I’m buggered if I’d have let him nick one of my Gdcs’ Yorkshires! I’d have grabbed it back PDQ.

Greedy old bastard!

Your uncle is a greedy rotten bastard.

Perfectly put.

Jeschara · 23/06/2025 17:31

No shame, greedy, and cares for no one but himself. What he done to his son was disgusting. No respect for people like that at all.

TreatTreat · 23/06/2025 17:31

He's got no manners at all. Stealing peoples food.

He's greedy. Is he overweight? I'm overweight (morbidly obese) and while I often want what other people are eating and admire their food without staring at it, I'd never steal it.

justkeepswimingswiming · 23/06/2025 17:30

Id be inclined to tell him hes greedy, and if he wants other peoples food after eating he needs to order more!

YodasHairyButt · 23/06/2025 17:30

Your uncle is a greedy rotten bastard.

YellowCamperVan · 23/06/2025 17:29

That's incredibly rude. I'd be inclined to store some comebacks like 'if you can't afford your own food there are foodbacks you know' or something, call him out publicly. Don't ever give him a bite. And if you notice someone has left the table and he starts trying to steal their food stop him.

What kind of message is he sending that kid? That you can steal other people's foods? What a prick.

AbzMoz · 23/06/2025 17:29

Men have been shot for less. Do not steal Yorkshires. I would honestly hit the roof at this gluttony / lack of self control.

Notyourfaultbutmine · 23/06/2025 17:28

I find people like this repulsive, but they never seem to have any shame about their behaviour.

What an absolute cock
