To think Palestine Action isn't a terrorist group?

I don't agree with what they've done (breaking into military bases to vandalise planes), but I don't understand why they're being proscribed. Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil have caused far more damage to property and general annoyance.

Arrest and prosecute the people who commit criminal acts, absolutely, but this is setting the bar for branding protestors "terrorists" far too low.

I would absolutely love for you to explain what a terrorist looks like.

More arrests within Palestine Action group. What a surprise. They are now officially terrorists. Go and see what they look like.

Unless you think they are supporting genocide, then, in my view, go right ahead.

Good luck with supporting that.

Criminal yes, terrorist NO

Her arrest 'peacefully holding a sign' was probably orchestrated on her part. She seems to like being arrested, claiming to have been arrested at least 28 times.

Also, supporting a proscribed terrorist group doesn't mean that you, yourself are a terrorist. You seem to misunderstand that point.

Here's another photo of her with a hammer and chisel smashing the glass protecting a rare copy of Magna Carta. What an innocent old lady she is.

EasyTouch · 06/07/2025 14:51

They were protesting in support of Palestine Action.
The protest was not held because they supported the views of Palestine Action ( which are more or less the same as most who claim to support Palestinian liberation), but the actual terrorist group.
A seemingly slight, but in fact great difference.
So no, free speech in support of Palestinian liberation is not being suppressed.
Support of a terrorist group which interferes with British defence is being dealt with.
And if that is what got that old lady out of her bed onto the streets, I'm sure at her big age she knew what could be the attention grabbing consequence.
And like is often being said about any bad things that happens outside of Gaza...." People are worse off in Gaza" than that old lady.

Absolutely garbage. Attacking military equipment is perfectly acceptable protest action, and has been for a long as I can remember. And I'm old enough to remember Greenham Common.

Thanks for this response. I just couldn’t be arsed arguing with her any further. Well said.

If it happened now, they could face 14 years in jail.

Hell of a price to pay

We will likely have nuclear armed bombers in the UK at some point.

If there were protests and people tried to get on the base again, I think there would be severe consequences for anyone doing that. And well deserved.

Don't fuck about with our defences.

Just incase you haven't read it see the screenshot of section 12 1A of the act and it's what your former priest has been charged with @StrikeForever

They've been charged with a lot more than just criminal damage, see the screenshot below it's from the article I linked to earlier

Thanks..

Would still be nice to know if anyone (?CPS, AG, others) has looked or is still looking at the 82 Aviation Security Act...

It's one thing damaging a train or truck, lorry, bus or whatever, it's seen as maybe just about OK these days by many to jump the fence of an MoD establishment to show you're sticking one on the man...but it needs another level of utter clod hopping stupidity/eviless to start compromising aircraft systems, especially engines...

She was arrested for offences against the Terrorism Act 2000

Yes and that act includes the crime of supporting a proscribed terrorist organisation.
Have you actually read the act because you don't seem to understand wht it says and covers including the crimes it created

Does she support the actions that have been taken by Palestine Action?

Oh - and supporting a group does not make you a terrorist. It could be classed as supporting terrorism though.

People can support terrorist groups without being terrorists.

The people at Brize Norton face 14 years on jail.

  • This offence covers cases where the person has a purpose that they know, or ought reasonably to know, is prejudicial to the safety or interests of the UK.
  • It covers a broad range of actvitiy including a person accessing, entering, inspecting, passing over or under, approaching or being in the vicinity of a prohibited place (or causing an unmanned vehicle or device to do these things).
  • This applies regardless of whether the person commits the offence from within the UK or abroad.
  • It carries a maximum penalty of 14 years.
  • Consent of the Attorney General is required to launch a prosecution.

Terrorists seek to maim and kill people

No they used threats violence and vandalism in an attempt to force people to adhere to the terrorist groups ideology.
That is what the law says in the uk if you don't like it complain to Tony Blair and co because it was his labour government that created that law.
PA went to crt and failed to prove that they aren't terrorists uk the uk legal definition hence the decision by both the house of comment and the house of Lords to proscribe PA as a terrorist organisation stands. They are terrorists end of.

That's what happens when you enter a prohibited place. There are clear warnings outside miltary bases about this. Having grown up on military bases, you get used to seeing those signs

If the people at Greenham Common had breached the fence and attempted to damage any equipment on there, I suspect it would have been shoot first, questions later. Nuclear weapons were held there.

If you intentionally damage military equipment, you are reducing the effectiveness of our military forces and there should be real consequences.

Yes they committed an act of treason IMHO when they attacked vital military equipment, and they have been videoed setting up terrorist cells and telling them to target other military bases, aswell as vital military suppliers of the UK and Ukraine just because they are owned in part or whole by Israeli companies.
They are not some nice protest group they are hardened home grown terrorists who are acting for the benefit of another country and against our countries best interest, they're dangerous and belong in jail
