Idle brain wandering - Seen a few posts advising to get over heartbreak or a crush on some bloke by imagining him the loo or whatever to prove he ain’t great - but, erm, everyone does that! Even people who are great 😂 Sometimes I wonder how we fall in love at all up against with the weird undignified reality of just having a body with all its functions. Sometimes just having a body feels so gross myself I wonder why I’m looking to share space with another one!

Yes. I'm a huge fan of Mary Ingalls Wilder's 'Little House on the Prairie' series of books. Hugely informative and educational WRT to daily life in frontier America in the C19. But she carefully omits what the toilet arrangements were.

I agree re The Chippendales . Many years ago was talked into going to a show by workmates .

It's really not uncommon for women, years later, when it's all over to find men that used to make them go weak at the knees in the lust of youth actually repulsive. and I mean repulsive - like I couldn't even touch him if you paid me millions.

this is a really good point and I do think the sudden dropping of procreative hormones has a lot to do with suddenly finding the physical aspects of a previously much lusted after partner suddenly off putting
