Why is it people are always so angry and think it is acceptable to remonstrate with others over what appears to be the most minor issues.
I am fed up with being shouted at, by strangers, for the most ridiculous things. My recent experiences include:

Giving way to someone on a narrow road, when driving, and when the male driver went past shouting at me to get over to my side of the road (I was over as far as I could get and on an embankment).

A woman shouting at me in a supermarket car park for parking too close to the rear of her vehicle (she could access the boot but not get her trolley in between the two vehicles)

Going into a petrol station to pay for petrol and on coming out being shouted at by a man in the vehicle behind to hurry up and get out of his way (I went in paid for petrol and came straight out)

A man furiously beeping at me and shouting to get out of the road when walking facing oncoming traffic on a public road without any footpath either side but in a residential area

Seriously wondering if it is just me or if others have similar experiences.
All of the above I found upsetting but with two of the incidents I was very shaken by the level of aggression shown by the men involved. Why do people think it is acceptable to behave in this way?

Ha ha, oops. Clearly that's meant to say sides and not said. 🫣

Aha, so the way you originally wrote it had "Keine Bedeutung" @KeineBedeutung 🤔😀👍

It might be interesting if you indicate the sort of area you are in - urban / rural north/south right/left rich/poor to see if there is any pattern

I live in a small rural town and find the cities much more aggressive

There's always two five said to every story.

Usually because they themselves are unhappy people, and choose to take it out on the world. Not your fault. 👍😀

I’m a little confused as to how you managed to park so close to someone’s boot in a supermarket car park… might need a diagram … 🤷🏻‍♀️

Local country road that I’m very used to having to reverse if a car comes the other way, came across a woman driving up the hill when I was already 2/3 down but she decided to come up anyway rather than use the bay at the bottom to tuck in and let me by. The hill is a bound summit so it’s the one bit I’m not going to reverse up. She was a few metres from a bay. She was furious, made a massive issue of reversing, zig zagging and going half in a bush. When I was eventually able to pass I said “thank you” and she called me a “fucking cunt” (in front of her young dc and my teens).

Another guy walked out into the road without looking pushing a pram. Thankfully I’d only just turned onto the road so hadn’t got to the speed limit so was able to easily stop. He saw me, left the pram in the middle of the road and ran at my car, pretending to kick it but missing thankfully. He was livid and screaming “fucking slow down” … I was going under 20mph in a 30 as I pulled into the road and was then about to take the next turning off. At the point he was screaming I was completely stopped and was not close to hitting him. It was bizarre and I was really shaken.

Some people are just dumb and vile.

Thanks and sorry to hear of your experiences.
That's the other thing I don't get, 2 of the men involved had women with them at the time.
My husband would never behave in this manner but if I was ever in the company of a man who did I would call them out on it.
What an example to set for your children, just vile.

Lots of angry people out there op.

Sofiewoo · 15/06/2025 14:44

I can’t say any of these things have happened to me, if they are happening to you on such a regular basis maybe you have a perception issue with space and timings, there seems to be lots of similarities in these incidents.

People are increasingly angry and entitled. Sorry 💐 It’s shit.
