Am I being unreasonable in thinking this is absolutely disgusting and unhygienic. I keep seeing young men out in public with one hand inside their trousers and very obviously on their dicks. My husband thinks it’s disgusting too and I rate his opinion.

I always say "Stock check?"

mazed · 14/06/2025 22:29

JUDIE stop it. Eating a pasty from a paper bag is one of my favourite things.

Well it's obviously vile but I can't say I've noticed it. Maybe they do but I just don't see it.

You're lucky, because once you've seen it, you can't unsee it.

And now, I seem to be expecting it almost everywhere I go where's there's men!!

OonaStubbs · 14/06/2025 18:19

Yes absolutely.

And how could you prove they were actually touching their genitals? And not just, say, scratching an itch in that region over their underwear?

OonaStubbs · 14/06/2025 18:19

MemorableTrenchcoat · 14/06/2025 17:32

Women too?

Yes absolutely.

No, not me. And no, I haven't. You always have the same MO on every thread. We all see you. Give it a rest.

PonyPatter44 · 14/06/2025 17:50

I work in a prison. Lots of the men behave like this, and i challenge it every single time I see it. Its now got to the point where I can walk onto the landing and see men literally whipping their hands out of their pants when they spot me. It is both gross and hilarious. I take it very seriously, though, precisely because they're all going to go back out on the streets one day. Being told quite firmly that it's disrespectful and unacceptable might occasionally make a few of them stop doing it.

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:47

My friend told me that she saw a man masturbating in a park a while ago.

She didnt say anyhing because again she was too scared to say something.

I do think we women in general need to be stronger with this type of stuff in general.

You are so rude and ignorant.

If you can read , i also wrote that the reason women often dont report is because they are afraid they wont be taken seriously.

I wrote that i reported a man to a group leader once. The man was very sexually inappropriate. When i reported the man, wasnt taken seriously by the group leader at all

You said you would not report because you’re “too nice” and wouldn’t want to “ruin his life”

and this is someone you think is committing a criminal offence of indecent behaviour?

No, I didn't. You have me mixed up with someone else.

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 17:31

You wouldn’t want to ruin the life of someone you think is engaging in the criminal offence of indecent behaviour in public? Bloody hell.

if I thought this, then I wouldn’t worry about ruining that person’s life

This is something that really needs to be cracked down on. We need more police on the streets. If someone is seen doing it on CCTV they need to be arrested and charge with public indecency.

Women too?

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 17:31

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:30

Yes! I've already answered this question three fucking times.

How many times are you going to ask me the same thing?

I said instead of being strong and reporting it, ive been conditioned by society to be nice and let these men get away with this behaviour.

Not a lot of other women report men for this either. It comes from being too nice, and also fear of repurcussions, and a worry that we won't be taken seriously if we do.

We all should be stronger about this behaviour

Ok so if you think it’s an offence. One of indecent behaviour. You aren’t reporting because you think you’re too nice and don’t want to ruin his life?

Indecent behaviour in public.

Touching your genitals in public is indecent behaviour.

henlake7 · 14/06/2025 17:25

I think its one thing to have a quick adjustment or a sneaky scratch (men or women!) but to leave your hand down your pants, grabbing onto it like a toddler with a security blankie?
Nope...what happens if they let go? does it fall off?

Just another one of those mysterious, disgusting things that blokes do.
Like gobbing on the street, never seen a woman do that!

KnittyNell · 14/06/2025 17:18

youworkedhard · 14/06/2025 16:12

No need for the sarcasm. I think what I meant was it wasn’t me being sensitive.

Just ignore all the man-haters.
I ask my husband’s opinion on many things, I like hearing things from a man’s viewpoint.

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:17

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 17:14

But report for what? What is the offence?

Indecent behaviour in public.

JohnTheRevelator · 14/06/2025 17:16

Urgh I see this frequently and I hate it. Also, men coming out of a public toilet doing up their flies. Do it inside the bloody toilet FFS. Or even worse, unzipping themselves before they actually go in the toilet.

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 17:14

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:13

Yes i think im conditioned by society not to speak up about men, as a lot of women are. We are scared to speak up

No one reports men for doing this , (having hands down their pants, touching themselves)

We are all too nice, or too afraid to speak up.

There is a gender imbalance of power. Women also get afraid to report men because of past traumas. One time i was in a group in the past. A man was really sexually inappropriate to a lot of women. I reported it to the group leader and i was told that i was over reacting.

When that woman was seen touching herself on a beach, a man immediately reported her to police .

Your confusing me with another poster, I said no such thing.

Oh sorry

it was @Ambaallen4 who said she would report to the police if it weren’t for the fact she was too nice

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:13

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 17:05

Ok so….

you think hand down the trouser walking along is an offence. But you don’t report this offence because you’re “too nice” and don’t want to “ruin his life”

correct?
