Wow things are escalating to levels I don’t know if we are prepared for. But Mossad are no fools so must be confident in their actions.

I’ll remember you fondly when shit hits the fan 😂

What shit? Was it 4 Israelis, who were foiled in their attempt to launch a terrorist attack in the UK by MI5. I could have sworn they were Iranian.

Gotta keep the war going somehow. Bibi's get out of jail card. It does makes the US look powerless and stupid. Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize apparently and this prospect is receding. Sadly , the moral of this story is : if you are a neighbour of Israel you had better get a nuclear weapon pronto.

Jordan, UAE and Egypt don't have nuclear weapons and have no fear of Israel attacking them. Why?

The Jordanian military announced that they shot down some of the Iranian drones that entered their airspace en route to Israel, so does this mean Iran will also retaliate against Jordan?

Iran is also insisting that the US was involved in the Israeli attack so does that mean they will attack one of the US military bases which will require a response from the US. The risk of this escalating continues to increase by the hour.

If Iran attacks a US military base it will be one near maybe in the UAE which means the UAE will also need to respond to an attack on the US base but on UAE soil.

Edited

Iran can hardly hold its own even just against Israel. That's why it preferred to "fight" using its proxies. Indeed, Iran was prepared to fight Israel until the very last Arab. I doubt they'll want to bring Jordan, the UAE and the US into the fray.

Indeed, I doubt there are even many Iranians who'll want to fight to preserve the IRGC. Many of them actually support Israel's actions.

Israel is going to attack the UK 😅
Any why exactly would they do that? When has Israel EVER attacked a country that has not threatened or attacked it first? When has Israel EVER attacked a country with which has a peace treaty?
There is a dispute with the Palestinians and an occupation which needs to end somehow. That's one thing. They are the only ones who actually have a legitimate grievance with Israel (albeit they have quite a bit of blame for the situation too). All the rest - Israel wants nothing from them other than for them to leave Israel in peace. Certainly Iran. There is NO dispute with Iran other than Iran having an issue with Israel's very existence, hassling israel through its proxies and constantly threatening to wipe it off the map.

It doesn't make the US look weak or powerless, I see it more as the US tried to negotiate to avoid Israel attacking, but Iran being the hot heads they are dragged the talks until Israel attacked.

If the US went down the military route first we would be calling Trump a warmonger who wants to start WWIII, yet he tried negotiating whilst also making it clear that Iran will NOT be allowed to build nuclear weapons and we also claim he is weak and powerless. He made it very clear to Iran that he is willing to work with them so they either go down the path of negotiations or the path of destruction and I guess they choose destruction.

I am actually happy that the US is not involved in the strikes yet they benefit indirectly from a weakened Iran. Let's see how things go with Iran's response and if this will escalate into a full war or not.

I think not because Iran was already in a weakened state before this attack and the attack caused a lot of damage so they may just retaliate with drone and missile strikes to save face many of which will be stopped by the iron dome rather than launch a full war on Israel.

Wouldn’t train to be a Nuclear scientist in Iran!

So you don't have an answer. Right. Check your own OP for rudeness.

There is no rudeness quite as rude as that which comes from extremist colonisers who think other people don’t deserve to exist because of where they live and the colour of their skin. Check the moral vacuum within

MusedeBordeaux · 13/06/2025 10:50

Israel has a plan, and will see it through.

A plan that includes killing over 17000 Palestinian children.

Israel will always be a terrorist state that bombs innocent civilians and thinks it is immune to any morality or legality. It commits war crimes in Gaza every day, this was only a matter of time.

one day, when Israel reaches the UK (directly or indirectly) and it is us who have to shelter our children and families from bombs and missiles (which is a real possibility) then I do wonder how many people will still be justifying Israel’s war crimes and arrogance.

😆 🤣 😂 😹

Israel seem to be targeting military commanders as well.

Excellent.

ODFO. As for the poster saying Israel will come for the UK - no that won't be Israel doing that. Wake up.

If you’re calling me an antisemite because I hate Netanyahu and his murderous government then you’ve twisted the word out of all meaning.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 13/06/2025 07:50

Some of the drivers of this unholy mess are fundamentalist nut jobs on 3 sides - including the "Christians" in the US who have the ears of Congress.

So wars bring economic advantages via the industrial military complex which will be cynically exploited, because the non-believers don't give a hoot if their money comes from deranged believers.

People in general don't want to believe that what's going on is heavily underpinned by people acting for their particular Sky Daddy, because we've science our way out of that, right?

There's a very interesting Al Jazeera documentary on YouTube called "Praying for Armageddon". It covers all of this very succinctly. Some influential people believe it's their divine duty to bring about the second coming of Jesus, some have the red heifer thing going on, a scary number are wrapped up in End Times scripture.

The economic and religious factions are involved in a massive circle jerk that suits them both.

Honestly I don't give a shit why who is doing what, but in this day and age, wholesale slaughter of anybody for any reason should be off the table. As ever, average Jo and Joanna and their kids end up collateral damage while people protected by bunkers and money get off on their delusional self righteousness.

Nothing new under the sun.

Netanyahu does not represent every Jew, and not every Jew is cheering him on. Similarly, not everyone who isn't a Jew, calling him out for war crimes, is anti semitic. Making it out to be a black and white situation where there are only two positions, either with or against, is having swallowed the kool-aid yourself.

@CareerChange24
we all knew it was coming, its very bold but as you say they don't do things without thinking about it at least a bit. Presumably the Israelis judge that attempts to bring Iran in from the cold with a new deal both ties their (Iran's) hands and closes the window for violence - so its a great time to do this sort of thing

Edited

Trump knew it was coming. His attempts to negotiate had failed.

The UN announced this week, for the first time in 20 years, that Iran is not adhering to restrictions on what they could use nuclear development for.

There was sufficient intelligence to show they were in fact starting to build nuclear weapons.

Much of their IRGC air force was destroyed in the last attack so better to do it now before they rebuild them.

I'm really not delighted that Netanyahu has taken on Iran but to be honest Israel has little choice with Iran funding Hamas, Hezbullah, Houthis etc etc. Strike, or wait to have 9 million people nuked.

To Iranian /Persians in the west, I hope your families in Iran are safe. And that the people of Iran and especially it's strong women, will soon be free.
