Called Unsociable 10 year old a fat c*nt

Ok, am I the worst person ever??
Last week I was at marks and spencers and there was this boy there, about 11 who was riding around on a electric scooter, whizzing past people and behaving in a passive aggressive way. When I past him he loudly made throwing up noises several times right in front of me, to scare/shock me and I said oh are you ok, maybe you need a doctor (because I don't like to be initimdated by youths). Anyway I do the shop and keep thinking about him, I was in a bad mood already and he really annoyed me, I'm fed up of little shits thinking they can terrorise people.
Anyway I saw him again on the way out and again he was whizzing past scaring people. He came past me again and then I said it.....I said 'fat cnt'!!! Now I actually do not use that word, I don't like it, I don't like it when it's used around me either but I was so pissed off that that's what I said!!!! Anyway he circled round and was like what did you say....I ignored him and he started insulting me and following me as I walked to my car, saying is this your car you fucking bitch, cnt, etc etc. I walked away saying I'm calling the police! Then this guy comes over who's his dad! He apologies and says he's trying to get him home (the kid had been in the car park for half an hour at least, maybe longer), the kid tells the dad what I called him and the dad says 'no she didn't' then the kid goes off at the dad for taking a strangers side. The dad is completely useless as the kid is still circling me where I actually have to push him away from me! Eventually he leaves after a lot of verbal abuse, from the kid. Now I'm thinking I shouldn't have done it and feeling guilty and also worried that I can't go back to M&S because he might be there and start abusing me and I have 2 young children. Thoughts? I am going to hell?

Don’t beat yourself up OP, @wobblyewobbly will be ready and waiting to batter you with a few days old sourdough if you pull that stunt again. She won’t admit the hell she will unleash but I suspect it involves telling people that the transgression actually took place in Aldi not M&S and that you were buying non organic produce.

This reminds me of when I was 8 and being badly bullied by a boy at school.

My mum was the softest non confrontational person you would ever meet, I actually blame her for making me the same growing up and accepting too much shit off people.

When she was going through peri menopause she really struggled and actually had some form of breakdown, it was like all the negative emotions and anger she had ever repressed just came to the surface and as she was going through the worst time my dad was made redundant and struggled to find work. We were really struggling for money so she had extra pressure.

This horrible boy bullied me relentlessly for being poor and hit me, called me names, ripped up my homework and made my life hell. It was usually just the two of us who were last to be picked up from school and waited in the playground alone (it was the 90’s) and that’s when he was at his worst.

I had wanted a sylvanian family talking rabbit for my 9th birthday and my parents saved for weeks to get it. I still remember seeing their happy faces when I was opening the present.

I took it to school for show and tell and the little shit bullying me waited till I was waiting to be picked up and grabbed it from my bag and ripped its dress off and threw it in the mud. I got in the car upset after school and told my mum and she knew about this boy and who he was so she got out of the car and saw he was alone and grabbed him by his shirt collar.

She pushed him against the wall and said “listen you horrible little shit, nobody like bullies, nobody likes you, even your mum doesn’t love you because of how you behave. If you EVER bully another child again - including my daughter I’ll knock your fucking head off”.

As soon as she got home she told my dad and was absolutely gutted and sobbed over how she’d behaved. My dad was also a softie but he agreed the kid deserved it. He wasn’t from an abusive home or anything like that, he was just spoilt rotten and never disciplined, his mother was always at the school because of his behaviour.

Later that evening the mum comes round with her son banging on the door to speak to my mum. My mum had planned to admit it and apologise if she was confronted but the boy was smiling all cocky when his mum started ranting at my mum and telling her how disgusting her behaviour was, she also dropped a comment in about us being poor but my mum never told anyone what she said and I didn’t overhear.

My mum denied everything after that and even told the boy off for telling lies and told his mum about him bullying me. His mum ended up walking away dragging him by the arm shouting at him whilst he protested he was telling the truth. He looked back and begged my mum “stop lying and tell the truth” she stuck her tongue out when his mum didn’t see and shut the door 😂.

The little brat never bullied me or anyone else again whilst I was at that school. He was still a cocky little shit but my mum occasionally glared at him when she was picking me up and he kept well away from me.

It says everything when a kids parent doesn’t even believe them, they must know what their kid is like. People say it takes a village, maybe if more people stood up to bad behaviour we’d have less kids behaving like cunts 😆.

That’s brilliant. Hung by his own petard.

If this is the way the boy acts, then sadly, you calling him a fat cunt isn't going to be the worst consequence. For him it will, unfortunately, not be a big thing either way - he he has far bigger problems in his future.

I wouldn't beat yourself up OP.

I mean when the dad said that you didn't call his kid a fat cunt....I'd have died laughing lol. Shame on you for not owning up! 😝

Brownthosebrownonionsbrown · 13/06/2025 02:16

Lavender14 · 12/06/2025 22:53

Does it actually matter?

well from the OP he was a cunt

IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle · 13/06/2025 02:16

Blessthismess2 · 12/06/2025 23:50

Why in gods name have you put “child” in inverted commas? Do you not think an 11 year old is a child?!

what is wrong with the world that half of mumsnet thinks this is ok!!!??

ofc YABU OP. You shouldn’t call anyone that, let alone an 11 year old child.

I agree. Horrible behaviour from the OP.

Blessthismess2 · 13/06/2025 02:11

ScholesPanda · 13/06/2025 00:12

It's funny how people want a village to help them raise their kids, until it means someone doing what they can't, and actually pulling their kids up on the shit they pull.

Sorry what? So if I appreciate family / friends helping with my kids then logically I also have to be ok with random ladies at the supermarket calling my kids a “fat cunt”. ?

blackheartsgirl · 13/06/2025 02:02

If some random person had called my kid a fat cunt for misbehaving and acting like a little shit in public I’d feel like I’d failed as a parent

id be asking my child some very hard questions about their behaviour and they’d be grounded for ages etc

none of this tell security or shop staff bollocks. My kids know that if you act like a dickhead and someone calls you out on it then it’s on you.

my kids..3 of which are now adults have turned out pretty well tbh.

SecondVerseSameAsThe1st · 13/06/2025 01:56

TheNightSurgeon · 12/06/2025 22:59

Meh, not ideal behaviour but I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it.

I wouldn’t either.

askmenow · 13/06/2025 01:52

Feral kids of feral parents!

askmenow · 13/06/2025 01:51

Next time take a brolley and stick it in his wheels so the brat falls over. This is when we need mace sprays ladies for these terrorising toe rags

Can't abear bratty children or negligent parents.

Trendyname · 13/06/2025 01:50

FumingTRex · 12/06/2025 23:24

You were totally out of order. His Dad was clearly allowing him to ride a scooter in the shop, so were the staff, so how would he know its not acceptable? If it was causing a problem you should have complained to the staff.

It was more than scooter riding on the shop by him.

blackheartsgirl · 13/06/2025 01:49

Obimumkinobi · 13/06/2025 00:21

What we're all forgetting, of course is that it was M&S, so he wasn't just any fat cunt.....

😂 😂

Trendyname · 13/06/2025 01:48

wobblyewobbly · 12/06/2025 23:13

Would I have beaten her up?

I didn’t say that. But I sure as fuck would’ve made sure by the time she left the shop she wouldn’t dream of calling a child a cunt again.

Also this isn’t even the worst thing this woman did, she then cowardly hid behind when the child told his father and his father didn’t believe him! Now wether this kid is annoying or has behaviour issues around a shop, he’s now gone home knowing he’s been called a fat cunt and his own father didn’t believe a random woman in a shop called him such a vile thing.

she’s also now shown a child it’s okay to go around body shaming random strangers and calling them what I genuinely believe to be the most filthy vulgar word.

Honestly the people congratulating the OP for saying or it saying “ good the dad didn’t believe him “ actually really worries me.

In your long response about how badly op behaved twice or more, you forgot to mention once what you would have done about your child’s repeated anti-social behaviour, troubling normal people minding their own business.
You won’t be with your child all the time to teach anyone insulting them a lesson, why not teach them bullying is not ok.

TheRoundTable1983 · 13/06/2025 01:29

You should have accidentally bumped the wheel of his scooter with your trolley for good measure 🤣

Oh shut up, learn to parent your own kid. Don’t raise feral kids like this to begin with who terrorise people at shopping centres.

Hah! Your lovely friend can now call out any brat and get away with it (unless she comes across a few mumsnetters).

Yes, it definitely does have to have the emphasis in just the right places!

She is the most amazing woman. And she learned English as a second language, but she is so funny and sarcastic! Her sense of humour is definitely more UK than S.Am, she says that herself! I would love to hear her in her first language!

JCS1000 · 13/06/2025 01:15

Play stupid games win stupid prizes. I think Ricky Gervais would be proud of you. That kid could have continued to intimidate people. Imagine if it was someone elderly he was frightening. Good for you for not taking that cr*p. Hopefully he’s learned a lesson.

Oooh braggy post!! My proudest moment was teaching a Peruvian friend to say "bollocks" with the right emphasis and at the right time. She was living in the UK at the time and asked me what it meant as she heard it all the time. Taught her all the meanings and now its her favourite word. She says the best thing is that no one understands her! She is now living in a different S.American country and its her go to swear because everyone understands "fuck" but only the Brits understand "bollocks"!

I wouldn’t have called him that but I probably would have said go away little shithead which is a little nicer

Don’t worry, it’s only if you or your partner have a ‘hobby’ that it’s outing. ☺️

Oh thats a relief! 😂

kid deserved it. was being a cunt so gets called one 👌

Slatterndisgrace · 13/06/2025 00:49

It’s mine too. Along with bollocks, which has a nice rounded sound to it.

I think it makes it even worse if he was.

OP you stooped to his level - and actually you flung the insults first.

BasilandTom · 13/06/2025 00:57

I’m sorry but I think you reaction was justified. I doubt the little toe rag went home sobbing into his pillow. It’ll be water off a ducks back to him. In hindsight, you could have handled the situation better by finding a M&S staff member or security guard but more people need to stand up to these teens and put them in their place.

Slatterndisgrace · 13/06/2025 00:56

PyongyangKipperbang · 13/06/2025 00:54

The worst thing about it (and this really is outing, so if anyone recognises this then yes, we live in the same place!) is that the Air Ambulance was used to get him to the nearest specialist centre to deal with his injuries.

How many thousands did that cost?! Little fucker decides to emulate his piece of shit father and try to be the hard man, hurts himself in the process and thousands of pounds raised by the charity are used to get him to hospital. I wish I could tell you his nickname but that would be identifying to the kid concerned and, ironically, I would be the one in trouble. But lets just say that it is a word commonly used to describe someone not blessed with brains, although I have been told he used it because it proved he was hard!

Don’t worry, it’s only if you or your partner have a ‘hobby’ that it’s outing. ☺️
