Has David Walliams finally wrecked what was left of his career?

He was part of the taping of the xmas special of WILTY yesterday and did a Nazi salute twice, as "comedy"

At least the show immediately told him that it was utterly unacceptable and the BBC and production have also condemed him immediately, rather than this coming to light in a few years time.

Combined with this and also being booted off BGT for the way he spoke to contestants, surely there's no way back for him now on telly?

I think he's a creepy weirdo, but his private conversations on BGT were leaked and I think people should be allowed to have private conversations and it not lead to them losing their jobs. I also don't think him doing a stupid nazi style salute would encourage anyone to suddenly decide to become a nazi, I think they could easily have just cut it from the show.

I don't like him but I dislike cancelling people left, right and centre even less.

His conversation was with colleagues. Making sexual comments about a woman to your colleagues is inappropriate workplace behaviour if not sexual harrassment.

This is gaining real traction. Just heard Jane Garvey and Fi Glover discussing it on Times Radio, aghast that the show was still going to be broadcast, but with that section cut out. According to the production company.

I don't think that will stand for long.

I recommend you watch Making a Scene. Matt and David both talk about bullying, and how they took what was thrown at them as insults and used it to their advantage. Ex David being camp and effeminate.

They took the power back from those insults.

A lot of people are arseholes in general… not just famous people.

It is show business after all… it is a business.

e.g. instead of just quietly donating to the hospice, you tell everyone around you, and put it on your social media so everyone knows how generous you are.

Having a problem with Little Britain poking fun at racism, gay people, breastfeeding isn't virtue signalling it's 'comedy' gone too far.

I mean I knew it wasn't live but for some reason I thought it would be filmed in a bit closer to Xmas like in November 😂😂

Yesterday on the The Rest is Entertainment podcast Richard Osman said that all the Christmas specials are being taped now.

I haven't liked him since Little Britain's 'bitty". It was reinforced by how he portrays people who receive benefits or are overweight in one or more of his books. My son read them ages ago and I can't remember them now, but I do remember thinking how awful they were.

Little Britain was a fantastic comedy programme ruined by dull, humourless virtue signallers.

A world without comedy is somewhat drab however that is unfortunately what some prefer.

His kids books are truly dreadful. Someone bought one for DD and reading it to her at bedtime was like pulling teeth.

We got a set of them. It mysteriously disappeared after we slogged through part of the first and abandoned it as it was hideously cruel about overweight children.
