Do you miss snogging males?

Remember being 14/15 or so onwards and just sooo much kissing, so much fancying of different boys, feeling excited if you’d see them that night and if you’d get to go with them 😂
I don’t think I’ve kissed like that since my mid twenties maybe…40’s now.

If you are this age and date again, do you kiss like this? I really have no idea

Think I'd feel less nauseous seeing my dog polish off some other dog's turd that have to witness anyone 50+ snogging 🤣

What? How old are you?

For all those saying "ugh hate the idea, would never do such a thing now we're older"..

.... does your DH feel the same? Is he mentally on a thread like this, thinking how much he misses it? If the opportunity arose... etc?

Without communication it’s yet another case of ‘I hate it therefore I’m not going to do it, oh and I forbid you from ever doing it again too, don’t really care if you miss it or not tbh’.

Then ‘DH wants a divorce/met someone else, I’m blindsided’.

It does need to be a jointly agreed thing.

And yes, no one should ever do something they don’t want to.

But then, decisions taken will always have results.

Even with 3 toddlers there's always times in the day for a good smooch, and night time for sure. Adore hubby as much as the day we married

Starseeking · 11/06/2025 00:06

I love love love a proper snog. My ex dwindled it off after a year or so, meaning I’ve not had a proper Kiss for something like 11 years. How I miss it!

Sameasiteverwas8 · 10/06/2025 23:59

Never snog anymore but might give it a go! I’ll probably get the giggles though. I miss it. 😢

Catsandcannedbeans · 10/06/2025 23:58

My dad and step mum are always winching and he turned 70 yesterday🤢.

Mind you me and DP kiss in front of our kids (who think it’s yucky) so I guess I can’t criticise my dad for it, but it wayyyy grosser when he does it 😭.

MoneyMoneyMoney25 · 10/06/2025 23:48

Ooh I love a good snog. It’s rare that it happens anywhere other than the bedroom though as there’s teens about and they’d probably puke at the sight 🤣. He’s 38 and I’m 44.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 10/06/2025 23:44

God I've been eith my dh 33 years snd we still snog! How sad not to!

@PyongyangKipperbang And they are called "Men" FYI, not "males"

Thank fuck someone said it.

Do men ever miss snogging females I wonder 🙄.

It’s men and women.

Except in Friday Night Dinner and then it's females 😄

Barnbrack · 10/06/2025 23:34

I'm shocked so many don't have a proper passionate kiss reasonably regularly in their 40s. I genuinely didn't know that was a thing that happens. Those upset at snogging I front of the kids, are your kids always right there? We don't kiss passionately in front of them obviously, we do hold hands, hug, lean against each other when watching TV on the couch etc

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 09/06/2025 19:37

Nope.
Hate kissing. Always have. It's so intrusive. Thankfully I married an equally cold fish and our tongues have remained in our own mouths for nearly 30 years.

😆😆

Boredeoboredbored · 08/06/2025 20:50

But kiss properly every day? In what situation

My husband and I are in our 40s, together almost 20 years and kiss everyday, we probably don't 'snog' every day but we often have a good hug and kiss of an evening if the kids are in the living room occupied and we find ourselves both in the kitchen making a cuppa or something. Before we had small kids we definitely kissed everyday, had sex most days too

There’s very little in life that’s better than a full on, very long kiss.

There’s very little in life worse! 😱😆

MrBlobbyScaresMe · 08/06/2025 23:02

Gah I hate snogging, I even hate the word 🤢.
I know I'm in the minority here.

You’re not! I hate the word “snog”, such an ugly word and I hate seeing it on TV.

MidoriNoRingo · 10/06/2025 20:01

We still snog! Not with tongues though I’ve always found that revolting.

How do you snog without using tongues?

MorrisZapp · 10/06/2025 22:05

Oh god yes. Big strapping lads in denim jackets.

Koazy · 10/06/2025 21:48

SunnySideDeepDown · 10/06/2025 19:50

But it’s not real. It is definitely NOT the majority of long term relationships who snog still in midlife.

It is real. Just because it’s not your experience doesn’t mean it’s not real.

Koazy · 10/06/2025 21:45

People who don’t snog their partners, what about during sex? Surely you do then?

MidoriNoRingo · 10/06/2025 20:01

Ah snogging. Better than ‘getting off’ 😬 with someone which did the rounds where I lived when I was a teenager!
I got divorced a few years ago. We hadn’t snogged in years. He wasn’t a great kisser and his dental hygiene deteriorated, which put me off. I used have End of a century by Blur ‘We kiss with dry lips when we say good night’..
After I started dating again, I met someone new. I had a couple of ‘snogs’ before I met DP. Very weird to kiss someone new! It was exciting getting ready for dates and the possibilities.
When I first met DP, I had butterflies. I remember thinking immediately how much I wanted to kiss him! Second date we’d found somewhere we thought was private to have a smooch but someone passing us said ‘get a room!’ 😆
We’ve been together 2 1/2 years but still live apart (too complicated to blend families) so we usually see each other every other weekend. Have a snog when we first see each other and we have a habit of snogging through ad breaks when we are watching TV! I love that we still have that passion.

Probably because your relationships is still every other weekend. You keep the best parts of yourselves for each other. When you live together, with kids and life stresses, snogging kind of goes out of the window.

God imagine being a child and seeing your parents sticking their tongues in each other’s mouths on a regular basis. Absolutely ridiculous, no one normal does this

I know 😅 Can you imagine catching your 80 year old grandparents necking in the kitchen, tongues an' all?!! 🤣🤢

Dontlletmedownbruce · 10/06/2025 13:43

It's not really about the act of kissing though it's who you kiss. In theory I could snog DH anytime i wanted but I can't be bothered cos it just him, isn't it? The same mouth I've been able to kiss for 30 years. It's nothing personal im sure he hasnt much interest in kissing me either. I'd only be excited if I got to kiss someone new, sadly I often fantasise about this rather than sex itself.
