All things men have to do as well.

Or do you not think men get mugged, assaulted, or have to take precautions in public ?

There are risks out there for boys and men but it’s really not the same. I’ve never spoken to a man who thinks it is the same. Good men realise it’s very different for women.

The fact all our daughter’s have to change their behaviour and adapt their movements in an attempt to keep themselves safe from the male sex class.

This is not limited to;
not wearing earphones when walking at night, ignoring the random men shouting at her when she runs in the park, taking a less enjoyable route nearer the main paths when running, hyper vigilance for men following when walking home, getting a taxi when she’d rather walk, looking for a train carriage with other women in when she returns late at night…….

All things men have to do as well.

Weaponised incompetentance when it comes to the mental load, even when both partners work full time.
Oh you knowww I can't remember things like birthdays etc...
No, the homework app doesn't work on my phone...
DP denied getting any emails from the school for years so 'didn't know' any important dates or meetings, until one day we were sitting in the same room next to each other when our phones pinged at the same time and I saw that the exact same email from the school about exams had arrived for both of us.
Grrrr

Judgements about a strangers body. Public critiquing of how fuckable, or not the women are around them. We may discuss it across forums, as we are now, but I doubt any of us have ever shouted it, or stopped and bothered a man, going about his business, to tell him our thoughts on any aspect of him. I'd put money on the 45+ year old women not giving men in their teens and early 20's 'the eye'. You go from it happening to you, to watching your DD's and other young female relatives having to put up with it.

You're shifting the goalposts.
Also yes, women do this publicly, have you ever seen a woman react in public when a man doesn't her advances?
Its become basically a meme now - women complaining about their husbands on tik tok and instagram for the whole world to see. Women complaining about their husbands/boyfriends to their girlfriends, mothers, anyone who will listen, then being surprised when their husband/partner is upset about it.
Complaining about and criticising someone that you love to others is far more treacherous behaviour than a man saying he finds a random woman hot.

AnnieAzul · 29/05/2025 09:35

Are 1 in 4 men raped by a woman?

AnnieAzul · 29/05/2025 09:34

Do teenage boys have to change their behaviour because they know that women might rape them?

Do men have to get a taxi home even if they could walk because they fear a strange woman could attack them and rape them

Do men walk with their keys walk between their fingers because they have had experience of women following them and attacking them

Men are most likely to be a victim of MALE violence

Women are most likely to victims of MALE violence.

On nighs out on Friday and Saturday nights in pubs and clubs and on holidays I have heard this and more from women

Same!

I remember when it was the Euros or World Cup and there was a thread about how 'fuckable' Jack Grealish was. Cue many more posters, posting about the team.

I quoted this on a similar thread to this one and was told its different because those men would never be under threat from these women.

TeachMeSomething · 29/05/2025 06:40

Heard on a podcast I was listening to in the middle of the night:

Most men treat a woman like an appliance and they'll keep using you until you malfunction in some way.

Meadowfinch · 29/05/2025 05:55

Their lying.
Their belief that they are the most important thing in the world
Their fury when they discover otherwise.
Their entitlement.
Their laziness.
Their self pity
Their lack of responsibility.

I know one couple who seem genuinely in love after 40 years. I know quite a few who tolerate each other for the sake of the dcs. But I know too many who are together simply because they cannot afford to separate.

I dumped my last man friend because after dating for 5 years, he told me I had to "get rid of my ds half the time, if I wanted our relationship to progress." Ds was 9 at the time. Man was literally dumbfounded, speechless when I took a nanosecond to refuse and show him the door.

DS' dad was lovely until ds arrived, then he morphed into 1950s man, tried to stop me going back to work, thought he'd acquired an unpaid domestic skivvy, refused to change nappies or help with ds in any way. He didn't get up once in the night when ds was a baby. If I was so tired I didn't wake up when ds cried, ex used to nudge me with his foot and say 'baby's crying' then go back to sleep.

Since we split I had to undergo chemo & radiotherapy. Ex came to visit ds during that time and spent 10 minutes whining about how his leg hurt because he'd had to drive his automatic luxury car down a motorway for 90 minutes.

Literally, what is the point of them? I've never needed a man as a meal ticket, but can't find an equal partner. So I just go on occasional dates when I'm feeling optimistic. 😁

Comments about appearance. Some seem to think they're gods.

A friend called me 'old and ugly' because he knew I was worried about an upcoming birthday. He's over 10 years older than me. Then 'you've got a cracking pair of legs' and 'you'd look great blonder'. I was thinking about highlights but I don't tell him to dye his hair.

A ‘friend’? What did he say exactly amd are you still friends? How did he justify it or was it a ‘joke’ as in you saying you were worried about turning 50 bc you felt old and were looking your age etc and him saying “Well you may be old and ugly but at least you’ve got a cracking pair of legs!” ?

VoodooQualities · 29/05/2025 03:40

I'm sick of how men are bigger and stronger than me, and aren't tied to reproduction like we are. It means they're the default leaders, adventurers, creatives, sports heroes, trend setters etc etc etc.

Despite women objectively being the better sex, on pretty much any metric other than size and strength.

changedusernameforthis1 · 29/05/2025 03:40

When handing over a heavy parcel "Careful, it's heavy." The worst one was a man who ignored my open hands ready to take the parcel, plonked it down in my doorway and asked me if there was a man around to take it into another room for me.

The whole "Calm down, it's just a joke" they try to pull after you've told them you don't like something/want them to stop etc.

I have none of these types of men in my life, because I didn’t raise my sons that way, their friends aren’t like it, and I LTB that was like it. Obvs there are a lot out there tho!

But that’s what every boy mum says ever!

GingerPussInBoots · 28/05/2025 10:18

cocklodger Isn’t really a known turn in real life tho is it ?

it also implies that he is doing anything useful or desirable with his cock which is frankly unlikely

Rainbowqueeen · 29/05/2025 02:43

Men attempting to screw their partners over on a break up.

So many men I know who I thought were decent have behaved like complete shits towards their partners when they have broken up. No thought about the impact it will have on their children either. Makes me sick

tellmesomethingtrue · 29/05/2025 02:02

Men being so loud.

Starting wars the whole time.

Being responsible for the vast majority of violence in society.

Sometimes I watch the news, which, let’s face it, is pretty much always wall-to-wall bad news about war, violence and death, and mentally tot up which of the news stories are caused by men, and which are caused by women. Most times it’s nearly all men. Quelle surprise.

Misandry is the effect of misogyny.

It didn’t happen out of thin air. Most societies are male-dominated. Men are the standard in everything from healthcare to history. Cars are still designed with men in mind even though women have been driving for decades and new versions of cars are released on a yearly basis. Studies prove over and over again that men’s needs and wants are placed above and over women. ‘Male loneliness epidemic’ constantly talked about when there is a loneliness epidemic for both genders in many age groups yet it is men that are the concern because we can’t have angry, lonely men about because they are a danger to everyone including other men.

Yes, domestic violence is a problem and everyone should keep their hands to themselves and that includes consent and not seeing people period as things you own but it is ridiculous to argue that women pointing out their reasons for not liking many men’s behaviour is just misandry.
