Great post @5128gap

5128gap · 30/05/2025 08:19

Do the men on here in a huff about the thread actually have anything to say about the subject matter - bad behaviour by men? Because at the moment it's all a bit like going on a thread about fatal dog attacks to point out your neighbour's cat shits in your garden.

AnnieAzul · 30/05/2025 08:10

@Chiseltip

maybe some men are sick of men as a sex class too. Is that what you’re saying by stating men get assaulted and mugged too!

AnnieAzul · 30/05/2025 08:01

Chiseltip · 29/05/2025 09:55

All things men have to do as well.

Or do you not think men get mugged, assaulted, or have to take precautions in public ?

yes they do get mugged and assaulted by MEN

On nighs out on Friday and Saturday nights in pubs and clubs and on holidays I have heard this and more from women

So what? Really? Your claims about women's behaviour you've seen on nights out and/or in Magaluf are completely irrelevant to the fact countless numbers of women have been shouted at by men from the age of around 13 and continue to have this happen into middle age and beyond. Not just on adult nights out or in resorts known for stag/hen do's, but while exercising, pushing prams, wearing school uniform. Find me the stats for 13 year old boys catcalled by women. The dads accosted by women in the park when they're with their DC. The number of men who've had women shouting 'show us your dick darling' on his way to work. Or 'oi fat bastard' yelled at him by a car full of gaffawing women when he's running. Then we can start to compare like with like.

You're shifting the goalposts.
Also yes, women do this publicly, have you ever seen a woman react in public when a man doesn't her advances?
Its become basically a meme now - women complaining about their husbands on tik tok and instagram for the whole world to see. Women complaining about their husbands/boyfriends to their girlfriends, mothers, anyone who will listen, then being surprised when their husband/partner is upset about it.
Complaining about and criticising someone that you love to others is far more treacherous behaviour than a man saying he finds a random woman hot.

If a man 'becomes upset' that he is being criticised by a woman, he has choices. Either he improves himself so that the point of criticism is no longer valid, or, if he feels the criticism unfounded, he can leave. When women are shouted at in the street (from the age of 13) what are our options? Stay in?

TheaBrandt1 · 30/05/2025 07:29

Can the posters trying to “women do it too” please stop. You are embarrassing yourselves. We know women arent perfect but the sheer weight of the stats and how society is set up for the benefit of men is impossible to argue with. It is not the same.

My friends with teen and young adult sons worried sick about knife crime. Boy on boy obviously.

Delphinium20 · 29/05/2025 22:43

The astounding entitlement to our undivided attention at any hour they demand.

DH just walks in the door after a day of golf. I work from home, but somehow I'm a bad wife if I don't talk to him or listen to his golf adventure.

"I'm working," is apparently the rudest thing ever to erupt from anyone's mouth.

Kill and rape, maybe not.
Abuse - absolutely so.

Women do not kill, rape and abuse men in any where near the numbers that men kill and abuse women.

To claim otherwise due to “hidden data” is laughable.

This is an extract from the opening of Holly Bourne’s novel ‘Pretending’. I read it this morning and it made me think of this thread:
*I. Hate. Men.

I mean, think about it. They’re just awful. I hate how selfish they are. How they take up so much space, assuming it’s always theirs to take. How they spread out their legs on public transport, like their balls need regular airing to stop them developing damp. I hate how they basically scent
mark anywhere they enter to make it work for them. Putting on the music they want to listen to the moment they arrive at any house party, and always taking the nicest chair. How they touch your stuff instead of just looking; even tweak the furniture arrangement to make it mostcomfortable for them. All without asking first—never asking first.

I hate how they think their interests are more important than yours—even though twice a week all most of them do is watch a bunch of strangers kick a circle around a piece of lawn and sulk if the circle doesn’t go in the right place. And how bored they look if you ever try to introduce
them to a film, a band, or even a freaking YouTube clip, before you’ve even pressed Play.

I hate their endless arrogance. I hate how they interrupt you and then apologize for it but carry on talking anyway. How they ask you a question but then check your answer afterward. I hate how they can never do one piece of housework without telling you about it. I hate how they
literally cannot handle being driven in a car by a woman, even if they’re terrible drivers themselves. I hate how they all think they’re fucking incredible at grilling meat on barbecues.
The sun comes out and man must light fire and not let woman anywhere near the meat. Dumping blackened bits of chicken onto our plates along with the whiff of a burp from their beer breath, acting all caveman, like we’re supposed to find it cute that we may now get salmonella and that we’re going to have to do all the washing up.

I hate how I’m quite scared of them. I hate the collective noise of them when they’re in a big group. The tribal wahey-ing, like they all swap their IQs for extra testosterone when they swarm together. How, if you’re sitting alone on an empty train, they always come and deliberately sit next to you en masse, and talk extra loudly about macho nonsense, apparently to impress you. I hate the way they look at you when you walk past—automatically judging your screwability the moment they see you. Telling you to smile if you dare look anything other than delighted about living with stuff like this constantly fucking happening to you.

I hate how hard they are to love. How many of them actually, truly, think the way to your heart is sending you a selfie of them tugging themselves, hairy ball sack very much still in shot. I hate how they have sex. How they shove their fingers into you, thinking it’s going to achieve anything. Jabbing their unwashed hands into your dry vagina, prodding about like they’re checking for prostate cancer, then wondering why you now have BV and you still haven’t come. Have none of them read a sex manual? Seriously? None of them? And I hate how they hate youa little just after they’ve finished. How even the nice ones lie there with cold eyes, pretending to
cuddle, but clearly desperate to get as far away from you as possible*

It’s a long post - but it’s as if Holly read this thread before she started writing.

Of course not, but loving someone normally means not embarrassing or disrespecting them publicly. Loving someone normally means you don't want to make them feel bad.

Ohh, so if a man is being shit at home, women shouldn't talk about it or "disrespect" them in public in case they are "embarrassed".

How quaint.

FrankensteinsMonster · 29/05/2025 12:33

Why is criticising somebody’s behaviour “treasonous”?

  • The "man" smell
  • The lack of desire to do anything useful
  • wanting to stay inside and watch tv all weekend,
  • always wanting sex depite the fact that i've been working and sorting everyones crap out all day. I dont care - couldnt you have put on some porn and wanked?
  • waking me up at 3am for sex as he's horny - use your hand you fucking sex pest (both of the above are in ex's not current partner).
  • expecting me to support their every move
  • wanting the woman to be the support act
  • being shocked that i have a voice, am not pushed around easily, and i voice my opinions regarless of hurting their sad little egos.

I'm not saying all me, my current partner is a star, who I love to bits and isn't a dick, pest or ne'r do well. but geesh some men are a complete waste of humanity

There is... it's called the Internet!

Maybe check out punters.net where men review their hookers, befire deciding women sick of mens behaviour towards them is a problem 🤔

AltitudeCheck · 29/05/2025 11:16

ItsBouqeeeet · 28/05/2025 15:33

So if there was a male forum with lots of women bashing, you'd be okay with that?

Other men. Very commonplace. Stabbing, too and in various cities, gunshot wounds.

Yep - other men. It's not women who are doing the stabbing, shooting, sexually assaulting, etc. It's other men!

Who do men need to “take precautions from”?
