The way they are completely and totally led by their cocks. Totally unable to override it and think rationally until they are middle aged to old. SO led by their biology they just don't have the ability to override. Which is ironic, because it's the very argument patriarchy uses against women. But other than childbirth and menopause, ISN'T actually true about women. Whereas men are controlled by their cock from puberty up until old age.

If they're not lusting after a girl who would be disgusted by them due to their age, they're fighting for power in some area of their life, even if it's just verbally over someone. That pathetic need to dominate or impress. Which is just deadly dull.

The most pleasant men I've ever been around actually seem to care what women think. Don't hog the conversation. Are at times deferential to women. Acknowledge their own faults.

I'm heartily sick of their porn habits. I hate that every time I go out into public spaces I know I'm surrounded by men who regularly view porn depicting violence and dehumanising of women (and I'm talking mainstream porn here) and I know they view me as a walking set of orifices, not as a human being on the same level of humanity as men.

They disgust me.

And before the trolls come along, yes I know Not-All-Men and women also watch porn. But the majority of regular users are men, and the majority of modern online porn depicts dehumanisation of women.

If you wanna come in here and defend your porn consumption, I'm not gonna engage with your bs. That's ANOTHER thing I'm heartily sick of. Their repeated defence of the indefensible and refusal to acknowledge that porn dehumanises women.

Women play their part in this. There's nearly 4 million female content creators on OnlyFans now

I hate the way the way they barge into good threads and think we’re interested in their shit views. Just fuck off. And yes, don’t feed, ignore.

The fact that the horrors in this world are caused men.

There's plenty of men at school drop off and pick up.

Do you think that in general most women would want to spend more time in the office and less time with their children?

I think women will have a range of opinions on this. Speaking for myself, no. I had a good balance of the two (somehow managing to succeed in my career without staying at work until 9pm!) Overall i enjoyed my work more than I enjoyed childcare. Spending time with one's children isn't always quality time. A lot of it is tedious grunt work. Meal prep, caring for basic needs etc, and the stimulation, adult company and autonomy of the office was immeasurably more pleasant than domestic work.

Daffodilsarefading · 31/05/2025 08:30

Also sick of men who resemble a potato with eyes voicing any opinion about a woman’s appearance.

Daffodilsarefading · 31/05/2025 08:29

I’m sick of men who mean absolutely nothing to me thinking I give a shit about anything they think, say or do. I really don’t care.
I’m not interested in your opinion mate. No, I don’t want to talk or engage with you. I’m not interested in your dog or kid either.
I have my own family and friends and I don’t need anything from you.

We need to stop feeding this troll. He's completely hijacked what was a really good thread - which was probably his aim. Don't give him the attention. He'll be back to school on Monday and probably has some homework he needs to be doing anyway.

It's not trolling if it's factual. Imagine if there was a thread from men mindlessly slagging off women, I'm sure you'd have plenty to say about it

Notsosure1 · 31/05/2025 08:12

It is also the case that men on average work over an hour a day more than women

Why do you think this is, if it’s even true?

-because women usually have to drop off and pick up their children from school/childcare, interrupting their working day and being negatively affected while the man’s career remains completely unaffected despite being the co-parent??

"About 91 % of women with children spend at least an hour per day on housework, compared with 30 % of men."

This doesn't mean that women are doing 90% of the housework. It is also the case that men on average work over an hour a day more than women hence they have less time for housework.

If women are thriving why are they constantly moaning about everything?

That's a very simplistic view of a complicated question and not actually supported by data when it's looked into properly. And even if there was some truth in it, it doesn't mean it's anything to do with men, it can be down to womens unrealistic expectations.

One argument can be that young single women can have much lower levels of stress than young men as they're not really under the same pressure to build their finances up and get a high status position, get on the property ladder, women can just focus on having fun and getting taken out on dates. Then when the woman gets married and have kids all of a sudden they're under a lot of pressure they're not use to whereas men have been used to dealing with pressure previously so it's less of a shock to them.

Could you please link to the evidence supporting the argument in your second paragraph?

(I know there will be some and it's not just your simplistic view of a complicated question, not supported by data. I'm sure you will have looked into it properly.)

TheaBrandt1 · 31/05/2025 05:04

They may do more paid work but if you added in the unpaid labour that keeps our society working and is utterly undervalued womens efforts would dwarf men’s.

My friend used to get the park and ride to work in a nearby city. On the way back a large proportion of women would get off the bus first and run to their cars. No man ever did. One man even asked my friend I’m mystified tones “why do the women run?” Unbelievable. Blissfully ignorant of nursery / childminder pick up deadlines. They don’t know they’re born.

Soukmyfalafel · 30/05/2025 23:14

That I don't put off until tomorrow what I can do today, but if they can put off something until tomorrow, they definitely won't do it today. Unless there is something in it for them or it is important for their own wellbeing. Just get on with it.

It's pretty well-known that in the happiness hierarchy, married men are happier than single men, but single women are happier than married women. So it's not at all clear that women "get a great deal" and "should be more grateful".

One of the annoying things about women is their unwillingness to do any basic research before posting on mumsnet. In around 75% of households men are the main earner and regarding housework it's estimated women do 65% of that. Plus they don't even acknowledge all the traditional male jobs that men have to do so in general women get a great deal and should be more grateful.

Moody sulking. Not listening and then doing the opposite of what you asked. Putting everything off. Offering to go food shopping then asking you what to buy and demanding a list.

Tessiebear2023 · 30/05/2025 17:26

BDG007 · 30/05/2025 15:42

In my experience women are only too happy to move to part time work to spend time with kids. Most men would love to be able to work part time and spend more time at home with the kids but they don't have that option as usually they are the higher earner so they have no choice but to continue to slog away at a high pressure job until they're 70.

What is so good about spending 40+ hours in an office every week? That's not a better option than working part time and spending much more time with your children.

This is exactly why I encouraged my dp to take early retirement, he'd clocked up enough pension for himself after years of hard work. I'm much younger so, I'll continue to work two jobs for another 10 years yet!

It does help to have someone at home when you still have dependents and elderly parents, it shouldn't matter what sex they are. Women can work hard and earn, and men can be brilliant caretakers.

5128gap · 30/05/2025 16:58

I've also worked in offices for 30+ years, including managing teams of men. So, tell me, what in your experience are 'most' men doing there until 9pm exactly? Because if any of my team was doing this on a regular basis I'd be concerned that it indicated a lack of competence for the role/poor time management or both. I'm not suggesting there aren't men who've chosen to sacrifice work/life balance for big salaries, but its by no means 'most' who do this.

I'm not saying most men work until 9pm in the office most of the time, however it is a fact that on average men work longer hours. My point was that men aren't staying in the office late in order to avoid seeing their kids or doing any housework. If they're in the office late it is generally because they have to

5128gap · 30/05/2025 16:58

BDG007 · 30/05/2025 16:34

Yes I have for 20+ years and not once has a man been waiting in the office "faffing around" late until their kids go to bed s they don't have to do anything at home. You do realise that most men actually want to see their kids and spend time with them. Having to work late in an office in order to bring in enough money to pay the bills is a huge sacrifice. This situation will never be reversed as most women would never accept a situation where the man is at home with the kids whilst she is slogging away at the office until 9pm at night in order to pay the mortgage
