Think you've all met the wrong men! Mine isn't perfect but neither am I, nothing winds me up about him or men in general, I just avoid the ones with winding up potential.
My ExH on the other hand, I could write a book on that one! 😆

When is the divorce ?

Yeah, I’m trying, but it’s very complicated and I don’t trust him to take care of his kids.. and he’s trying for 50/50 despite working constantly. It’s very tricky. Narcs are in a league of their own!

SmoothRoads · 28/05/2025 14:31

Porn use. It effects all their interactions with women in a negative way.

A very quick google search shows it's well documented that black and mixed race people are up to 3 times more likely to be homeless and insecurely housed in the UK so not sure if you're just being goady for the sake of it.

Additionally, black boys and young men are more likely to be permanently excluded from education, are overrepresented in the youth justice system and young black male graduates are more likely to be unemployed than their white counterparts so what's your point? If you're seriously trying to argue that white male privilege doesn't exist then there's really no point in having this discussion as you're clearly not interested in facts or evidence.

Edited

Yeah i'm sure the millions of white men who've been sent off to be cannon fodder in wars were checking their male privilege from the comfort of their trenches.

Or the men who stayed behind and were attacked by women with white feathers for not going.

Look around at all the street homeless most of it is men.

"their entitlement to making judgements about women's bodies" - a bit ironic in a post that is literally judging mens mental abilities and competency

How many times over your lifetime have you heard women or gay men shouting this publically at random men?

Moanranger · 28/05/2025 14:20

So yesterday I am at gym, where we have little pods for our workouts with our needed equipment in it, matts, weights, etc. I had an elastic band set up on an upright for a resistance exercise, dude in next pod walks over & takes it off so he can use it.
I said, “I am using that, put it back!” I did not say please or thank you, on purpose.
Also patriarchy chicken (v amusing expression on a MN thread) where dudes coming in opposite direction won’t move to one side. Also generally being bumped into by blokes.

I've never once heard a man describe women as 'their property' and neither have friends.

Yet we read about women being murdered (and in cases like the Hunt murders, whole families) everyday because the men think the women don't have the right to end a relationship, or turn down sex. I've known four women murdered under such circumstances, in one case her and her Mother, you are incredibly lucky if it hasn't happened locally to you. I'm sick of children dying in house fires the Mother's ex (and usually the father) have started, just because she doesn't want carry on living with abuse.

ifeelprettyorange · 28/05/2025 14:10

Hahha @MuffinsAreJustCakesAtBreakfast
Totally agree with this!
I dated someone who said he only dated women who were completely natural!
Silly fool never realised I have my eyebrows tattooed, permanent fake tan (in a light shade to be fair), botox 4 times a year, and have to shave/pluck everyday to prevent me looking like King Kong.

They way they think the world revolves around them, who they seriously over estimate their abilities, their entitlement to making judgements about women's bodies.
Man spreading yuk!

MuffinsAreJustCakesAtBreakfast · 28/05/2025 14:02

When they say they like natural looking women [without much make up or hair or fake stuff or spending too much time on appearance etc etc]

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Bless their little innocent hearts they have no idea what they're talking about.

What they actually like is women who do a f*ck tonne of stuff in order to carry a certain look that has been marketed as so-called "natural" but is in fact NOT natural.

Caerulea · 28/05/2025 13:53

Yes.

Well, it's the reality that privilege has always been for the elites. Men historically were sent off to war, sent off to work down the mines or in dangerous back-breaking jobs for poor pay and in a lot of cases didn't have the vote either.

Privilege is for the elites, most men have historically been downtrodden.

It's interesting that black/brown boys have the same privilege as white boys in the same socio-economic backgrounds; yet they seem to be cast as enemies, instead of comrades in the fight against elitism.

It would be interesting to see how their outcomes would change if they used the vote they'd been granted over a hundred years ago wisely, engaged with education and training as the mines closed some decades ago and formed cohesive grassroots organisations that lobbied governments for vocational careers and apprenticeships; instead of being distracted by dog-whistle politics.

How do so many white men end up homeless given all the privilege they have?

White boys pretty much have the worst educational outcomes in the UK.

This. Imagine the outrage if a man posted a similar thread about women?

You think that’s not happening? This is what I got for daring to comment on a fb page about football on Monday.

As you can see I haven’t bothered redacting his name. Hopefully a woman in his life sees this and is appalled.

Until the picture is approved, I’ll tell you that it says “get back in the kitchen you fat ugly cnut (sic)”.

There’s so much misogyny to unpack there in that short sentence.

And this is one of the many reasons I’m sick of men.

violence against women and girls, war, violence. All of it.

ASweetSummerChild · 28/05/2025 13:27

“Mumsnet hate men” - oh bore off! Shock that people are talking about it on a thread called “To want to know what you're sick of about men !”
imagine threads called:
To want to know what you're sick of about:
driving?
cooking?
teenagers?
the toddler stage?

People responding to those questions does not equal their hate for the topic. You can have opinions without hating something. I am sixk of tailgaters and middle lane hoggers on the motorway: Yet, I enjoy driving.

How dare women have a discussion!

I'm actually jealous of their self esteem at times (obviously not all).

My gripe is the glancing...."seen my keys?" as he casts a quick eye over the room. "No, have you looked for them?", "no, that's why I'm asking you". 🙄

My response to the constant ‘have you seen?’ Or ‘Where’s?’ etc is. Please use your own brain instead of mine

The way that they call women ‘crazy’ as a way to instantly discredit anything she says.

It’s no different from the way that men conveniently invented ‘Hysteria’ around the time that women started demanding equality.

Blaming hormones, time of the month or menopause before considering the woman might have a point, or be justified in being angry!

Jujujudo · 28/05/2025 09:02

I told my Narcissist (undiagnosed but he is) H last week that I couldn’t continue this way any longer. That I’m physically and emotionally exhausted, I can’t eat, can’t sleep, can’t have a normal conversation, sick of always being in the wrong, sick of him putting his mother before his own children, sick of being a single married mother, desperate for some attention and empathy etc etc.
The very next day he says to me in a whiny voice (as though I’d not said any of those things the night before): why don’t you want to have sex with me anymore? I feel very offended that you don’t ever suggest it.

FUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

When is the divorce ?

The fact all our daughter’s have to change their behaviour and adapt their movements in an attempt to keep themselves safe from the male sex class.

This is not limited to;
not wearing earphones when walking at night, ignoring the random men shouting at her when she runs in the park, taking a less enjoyable route nearer the main paths when running, hyper vigilance for men following when walking home, getting a taxi when she’d rather walk, looking for a train carriage with other women in when she returns late at night…….

☝🏾

curlywurlymum · 28/05/2025 13:07

I love it when a short video pops up and there’s a douche bag advising women on how to do their make up/ how to dress to attract men. The ‘what men find attractive’ straight from the mouth of a man. Yum! Tell me more!

Men of colour still benefit from male privilege, even though there are levels of privilege white men have access to that they don't.

How do so many white men end up homeless given all the privilege they have?
