It won't be uninsurable

Just might not be insurable with the standard household insurance names that you think to try first, that's all

bridgetreilly · 23/05/2025 23:51

The ceiling is awful, but I love the rest of it. I couldn’t cope with the location, sadly.

Sansan18 · 23/05/2025 23:48

The waterway going through the garden may make the house uninsurable. I think the ceiling is a wallpaper.

GarlicPile · 23/05/2025 23:43

I like it, too - well, mostly. The downstairs loo gave me a panic attack!

I think the odd ceiling is because it's got insulating tiles on it, which can't be safely removed. They've painted the tile edges to make it look a bit like patchwork 🤔

There appears to be a bright pink bath in the 'former kitchen/lounge'??

And the little cut's lovely but will bring rats to your garden. OK if you own a lively terrier, perhaps!

Pallisers · 23/05/2025 23:36

The ceilings would freak me out.

I love the curtain fabrics though.

Always a joy to see a house with some personality, in this era of beige, white and grey.

Funky garden too.

And the price…!

Agree about the colour

I love colour

Contraryjane · 23/05/2025 23:33

Ghastly.

Katemax82 · 23/05/2025 23:32

It's gorgeous, but would be about 500000 where I live

Lighteningstrikes · 23/05/2025 23:24

Admire the boldness of it, but personally it would fill my head with chaos if I lived there.

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 23/05/2025 23:14

Dreadful

Bananaram · 23/05/2025 23:01

I just don't understand the ceiling, what is it?! It looks like mossy paving stones

I kept trying to work the ceiling out too?

And why they'd take up the tiny bit of space on a poky staircase with a bloody chair??

TinyTempest · 23/05/2025 23:03

I'd have to completely gut it and start again.

So 'busy' looking and way too cluttered.

Love the garden though.

noworklifebalance · 23/05/2025 22:43

Not for me at all - too much “input” [Short Circuit]
But YANBU to like it or any other style of house.

mathanxiety · 23/05/2025 22:39

Love it! Whoever was responsible for it has a good eye.

Caerulea · 23/05/2025 22:35

Oh god I love it!!

MaryGreenhill · 23/05/2025 22:33

YANBU to like it but l don't 😂

Davros · 23/05/2025 22:31

I don't like the big window at the front

Thelnebriati · 23/05/2025 22:29

Which one, the downstairs? I thought that looked like a tiled office ceiling with an art project painted over, it spoiled the rest of the room.

Santasbigredbobblehat · 23/05/2025 22:27

I Really like it-apart from that ceiling.

Thelnebriati · 23/05/2025 22:27

Is that really you, @DrDameKatyDeniseInExile ?

DrDameKatyDeniseInExile · 23/05/2025 22:18

One Hundred and Eighty Thousand of your Great British Pounds??? Jesus, I need to move! Love it 😊

Ireolu · 23/05/2025 22:16

It's bigger than my 3 bed house and asking price is significantly lower but that where the positives end for me. It's alot but it's clearly meant to be alot so it's not for me.

Overtheatlantic · 23/05/2025 22:14

All that and they couldn’t change the horrible carpet on the stairs.

Pippypippipples · 23/05/2025 22:11

Lmao pretty obvious it’s your house OP 🤣
