Just found a used condom in our bed...

Well actually my DD aged 4 found it just as we came up to bed. 🤢 Literally just sat there in the packet at the top of the bed, still fresh liquid inside it.

Husband has been working from home today and has gone out on a works do for a few hours so I'm doing bedtime with the kids. I messaged him straight away saying WTF and he's just replied saying 'posh w*nk but I know that really doesn't help the situation I'm sorry babe'.

I don't think he's cheated because a) we have ring cameras on all 3 doors, there's been no gap in streaming all day and no one else in, and b) our bedroom is an absolute s* tip, the sheets are full of my fake tan from last night as I was changing them today and it looks just as much like Beirut in there as it did this morning.

We've got 2 young kids, one who is 1 and still isn't sleeping through and haven't had sex for about 3 weeks because quite frankly I just cba as I'm so tired..

But AIBU to be absolutely livid at the fact he's pleasuring himself whilst I am at work and b) that he left it there for my daughter to find!

Any advice on how I act when he returns home in a couple of hours would be greatly appreciated!

YANBU to be annoyed that he left a used condom on the bed.

YABU to be annoyed that he had a wank while you were out. Nobody should be policing what their partner does with their own body.

As for all the people saying ‘but men don’t like condoms’, here’s a newsflash for you: not all men are the same and not everyone does everything in the way you’d expect. One of the reasons a lot of men don’t like wearing condoms is specifically because they can’t feel their partner’s vagina, not because they can’t feel anything, so it’s actually less of an issue for a wank. Also, most condoms are lubricated, so in the absence of any other lube it’s not inconceivable that a man might experiment with using one to have a wank.

Also there is no way on earth that he’d have left a condom on the bed if he’d been cheating, and the OP has seen via Ring that nobody else went in or out of the house.

Damnloginpopup · 24/05/2025 09:38

Posh wanks are legit. As I understand it a condom is a barrier which reduces sensitivity and 'natural feeling' during piv sex making it less enjoyable and less emotionally intimate but with the barrier between the (tighter grip of the) hand and penis, movement of the latex on shaft and tip and the light lube that doesn't dry out it makes it different and more pleasant. Also negates the need to stop and aim into a tissue or whatever during orgasm.

He should still put it in the bin though. Fucking man-pig 🤣 unless it was a hint of course.

Valeriekat · 24/05/2025 09:16

Maybe it’s just me and perhaps condoms have got better but I really don’t understand this “posh wank” concept. I thought men hated condoms?

SnoopyPajamas · 24/05/2025 00:43

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 23/05/2025 20:39

Why did he do that with a condom on. I don't get it. It's more work, and less pleasure, surely?

Ah, but you see, if you don't masturbate into a condom, there's nothing you can leave lying around as a hint to your wife. You may not like condoms normally, but leaving a used one where your wife is guaranteed to find it, is a great way to remind her of your sexual needs. She might even worry you're cheating on her, and be alarmed enough to start giving you more sex!

Why face the awkwardness of a conversation about your sex life, when you could play silly games instead?

Sorry, but I'd bet money his thought process was some variation on the above. Hopefully the child being the one to find the condom will put him off trying this again.

Wind up troll thread.
A man in an empty house

  1. searches for a condom...
  2. goes back to bed
  3. opens packet and applies said item
  4. fills it
  5. leaves the bed
  6. leaves the full condom and wrapper on bed for wife and child to find
  7. leaves the house.

How many men apply a condom if in an empty house?!?

💯

Tbrh · 24/05/2025 00:41

Posh wanks are don't exist. If men don't like using a condom when they're having sex with another person, why would they use one with themselves? Also why was it in the bed. Wake up.

Catsandcannedbeans · 24/05/2025 00:20

I always thought a “posh wank” was a myth… you learn something new everyday.

It's not ideal but Jesus give the man a break, sounds like an honest mistake! At least he's trying to keep it clean. My ex used to leave dirty socks full of it under bed ffs. Hence the ex part.I can laugh about it now. 😂

Vplop · 23/05/2025 23:39

Maybe this is a signal that you need to be having sex! When I’m really tired, I ask my partner to give me a massage first. He always says yes because it leads to sex and I get a nice relaxing massage! Win win 🙂

He posh wanked. Let it Go

I do find this strange because he doesn't like wearing a condom particularly during sex.

'particularly during sex'

When else would he wear one?

Cleaning his teeth? Washing the car? Making a coffee?

A posh wank, apparently.

Who mainly controls the Ring account

Apologies for this info -

Yes, it is possible to delete certain parts of Ring history from the app—but only if someone has access to the account and the app on their phone or computer.
Here’s what you need to know:
Deleting videos: Ring allows users to delete recorded videos or snapshots manually. Once deleted, those clips are removed from the app and cloud storage.
Account access: To do this, someone would need the login info for your Ring account or access to the device where the app is logged in.
No partial hiding: You can delete individual clips but can’t selectively “hide” parts of a video while keeping others.
Notifications: The app doesn’t alert if someone deletes videos, so it’s not obvious unless you regularly check the history.
Logs: Ring doesn’t have a detailed “audit log” that shows who deleted what or when.
If you’re worried your husband might have deleted something, check:
If you can still see all expected videos in your app.
If you have multiple users on the account (you can see/manage users in settings).
When you last checked the footage and if anything seems missing now.

This thread is insane.

posh wanks do not exist. Especially with a man that doesn’t like using condoms normally

ring doorbell videos can be erased in like 5 seconds

people saying it’s worse for a 4 year old to see fake tan in a bed than pick up her dad’s used condom?

is this real?

My thoughts exactly. Posh wank??? Likely story!!!

Screamingabdabz · 23/05/2025 23:04

No bloke ever chooses to wear a condom for a wank. He’s lying.

BoundaryGirl3939 · 23/05/2025 22:59

You can easily deactivate the Ring app by switching off WiFi.

babystarsandmoon · 23/05/2025 22:04

How can you even compare me ever forgetting something to leaving a used condom in my bed?

Mind boggling 🥴

If that's all it takes to be 'mind boggling' to you, I'm not sure how you cope with life?!

he forgot to throw the condom away, it's not that big a deal.

Sorry I probably didn't make the original Aibu bit clear- I'm honestly not bothered he's pleasuring himself, its human nature and like you said it means he might stop dry humping me in my sleep for a few days, I'm just livid that he's left the condom on the bed!

WTF I find this really weird and not funny. I hope this isn’t true.

BMW6 · 23/05/2025 22:22

Victoriaspo · 23/05/2025 21:43

Oh another that would rather her child picks up their own dad’s jizzy condom than sees some tanned skin colour lotion on a sheet. Crack on with your fantastic parenting.

It's a normal bodily fluid, not nuclear waste......🙄

Snugglemonkey · 23/05/2025 22:18

pimplebum · 23/05/2025 19:55

Oh come on ! It’s no more gross than bed sheets full of fake tan !
you cba with sex so what is your problem!
your 4 year old will just think it’s a bit of rubbish so no harm done

chill 😎

I totally agree. I don't think you have a leg to stand on here.

TunipTheVegimal24 · 23/05/2025 22:18

Surely only like accidently leaving a bloody sanitary product out? Grim, but I imagine lots of women have at some point.

ScandiStylister · 23/05/2025 22:17

AdoraBell · 23/05/2025 22:14

I would make it clear to him that your 4 yr old found the condom. If he’s flippant about it I would then say - hope she doesn’t mention it to grandma (or whatever name used for his mother)

I doubt the word condom is in 4 year old's vocabulary unless the OP screamed' Oh look, darling, a CONDOM that daddy's used.'

Sex is not dry humping your partner when they're asleep. Jesus.

Is it such a crime to be aroused in his sleep next to his wife . I assume he’s asleep . Snuggling in.
I am all for respect and saying no but some of the comments are extreme.
