For the record I'm brown and clearly not British born.

Would you not use a house/pet sitter over this?

Oh my God, that’s terrible. I wouldn’t use them, no.

Why? Hope it’s not because you agree with the sentiments.

It’s more likely that they just want to evoke responses on Mumsnet.

hehehesorry · 23/05/2025 21:56

I'd use them happily.

pinkstripeycat · 23/05/2025 23:29

No. Awful

NeedForSpeed · 23/05/2025 23:27

Well I'm Scottish, living in England. I assume I need to leave the country too? Or if I'm white am I acceptable to the likes of her?

If you've already spoken to her about using her services, I'd absolutely suggest you tell her you will never use her - and tell her why.

If you were just browsing, I'd just block and avoid.

Butchyrestingface · 23/05/2025 23:24

Not in a million years. You need to be able to actually TRUST the person you're entrusting your home and your pets with.

SeaShellsSanctuary1 · 23/05/2025 23:18

I'd drop them like a stone.

In some ways these pages provide a good insight into the type of people you wish to part money with. When I employ trades, I have a quick scan of profiles and swiftly reject any that have posted this crap on their pages

"It's free speech innit".....yeah with consequences. Next

F1LandoFan · 23/05/2025 22:48

I absolutely wouldn’t use them, and I’d tell them why and make sure they’re read it before I block them

hehehesorry · 23/05/2025 21:56

I'd use them happily.

BlackMountainGoat · 23/05/2025 21:42

What the fuck - no, I wouldn't.

ArtemisiaTheArtist · 23/05/2025 21:40

I am white and English and UK born. You can be proud of being English without posting shite like this. I’d look for someone else, OP.

BotterMon · 23/05/2025 17:50

That's awful and no wouldn't employ them. I'm white British but my DH isn't and we were recently on holiday with friends when the election results came out. I found out half of them had voted Reform UK which was incredibly uncomfortable. We have since gone low contact.

CarpetKnees · 23/05/2025 17:44

Like so many others on the thread, I wouldn't use them, and I too, am W/UK born.

PicaK · 23/05/2025 17:36

I'm disgusted - and mortified as a white person that other white people do this. Sorry.
Find someone else and report her for hate speech to fb.

Movinghouseatlast · 23/05/2025 17:33

I wouldn't have anyone in my house who openly advertised those views.

ThatDenimExpert · 23/05/2025 17:21

It depends what they meant by it. I can’t speak for them, but they may have meant to say that they oppose immigration changing British culture and opposing what they have seen about it in the news. They may feel strongly about the country changing and losing sight of its own values and traditions, which is also something that matters to me.
If that’s what they meant, it’s a badly worded post and I can see how it has come across the wrong way.
I don’t know why they’re using a pet sitting page to promote this, and I wouldn’t use them if I thought they were going to invite negativity into my life

AlpacaMittens · 23/05/2025 17:12

100% wouldn't use them.

Butterbly · 23/05/2025 17:11

I dropped my hairdresser for something similar

ItGhoul · 23/05/2025 17:09

I'm white and British born and I wouldn't let that person anywhere near my house.

Poppyyoutwat · 23/05/2025 16:45

They are quite thick posting that when they are running a small business.

AutumnLover1989 · 23/05/2025 16:34

I'd probably tell them they've lost a customer because of this.

AutumnLover1989 · 23/05/2025 16:33

Drop them like a hot potato 😞

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 23/05/2025 16:32

Oh my goodness! No way would I want anything to do with anyone who’d post that stuff. They’ve done you a favour by posting though… at least you know to avoid them like the plague.

ruethewhirl · 23/05/2025 16:30

Gustavo77 · 22/05/2025 21:04

Cut all contact and get someone who is a decent person to look after your pets. This piece of scum does not deserve access to your home, your family, your pets or your money.

There's no excuse or place for those kind of views in any society. Also report the post for hate speech and repost it onto social media so other clients know what a hideous person they are.
I'm so sorry that you had to see that, it's inexcusable and downright embarrassing to those of us also born here. I am glad you're here.

I’ve reported that FB page and another mentioned on it for their vile content. I’m actually appalled content like this isn’t taken down off FB as soon as it appears. I know people who’ve been banned from FB for far less. This kind of hate needs to be challenged wherever it is seen imo.

Katherine1986 · 22/05/2025 21:19

#whitewannabes ?!? What the fuck. In the bin.
