Inspired by DS obsession with Steve Backshall.

He would be off round the world "too busy to do childcare darling", would come home reeking of bar poo, and would insist on taking the children to play with venomous snakes "it won't hurt them if they don't bother it".

I agree and a devoted dad and grandad

Although doesn't he have herpes? 🤔

This is the only one I disagree with. He comes over as lovely - hugely talented and intelligent and an all round nice bloke.

Greg Davies... I'd be walking like a cowboy (and begging for more)

He says it's average

...and he loves dogs, which is another big plus in my book!

Yes, I'm prepared to marry him.

P. Diddy

Should have said BAT poo though I guess bar poo could be a thing.
James Corden would insist on you doing karaoke in the car All. The. Time.

I was puzzling over bar poo!

Russell Brand 🤢

Brad Pitt would be a bit of a handful. Ben Affleck would be tricksy. Anyone really conceited who loves the sound of their own voice and doesn't listen to you.

James Cordon and Danny Dyer popped in my head.

Do you think Danny Dyer is a geezer at home? Perhaps he goes all posh when the cameras are off. After all he is related to royalty doncha know?

I really can’t stand him. I have never met a working class man who carried on like he does.

David Tennant urgh & Martin Sheen, pompous prig!

Thinking about Dolly Partons husband. Years married, never in any pics with her, let her achieve everything and he is back home probably living well and without any of the drawbacks of fame.

And when he recently died she was absolutely devastated.

Tom Cruise. Something just feels off with him.

He is a weird control freak.
Katie Holmes couldnt date in public for five years so she could get her divorce settlement.

This made me laugh, he seems like a really nice guy but I bet he’d be triple checking you’d booked the holiday by midnight last night in order to get the extra 20% Jet2 discount!

I don't know. His wife was on Lorraine last year, talking about some TV show she was presenting. She happened to mention that her hubby always critiques her appearances on TV and tells her what she could have done better. Even sickly Lorraine faux pulled him up on that one.

Alexander Armstrong, I hate the way he talks. He’s endlessly cheerful.

FullOfLemons · 20/05/2025 00:53

David Tennant

Never wrong about anything

ArtemisiaTheArtist · 20/05/2025 00:30

Elon Musk. Obviously.
Stanley Tucci because although I find him charming, his wittering on about wine Wineand food would drive me to the nearest Nando’s.
Any of the keep fit lot because I hate exercise.
Joe Lycett, because I admire his partner, putting up with his squeaky voice and buttering parsnips.
Christian Bale seems very intense. Not for me.

Hummingbird10 · 20/05/2025 00:27

I was such a Dave Grohl fan, but now with the "child outside of marriage," he seems like less of a good prospect. .

Robbie Williams. Wasn’t he singing while his wife was in labour, or something annoying like that?

His wife comes across as a big an attention seeker as he does. I bet they're annoying company.

Carl Dean, Dolly's husband, died in March.

Whenever I've seen him on anything it's always taken me by surprise what a great and self deprecating sense of humour he has. His episode of Extras is also one of the best ones.

His daughter and her mother are another kettle of fish altogether.
I wonder if they don’t secretly embarrass him.

HamSandwichKiller · 18/05/2025 10:34

Tom Cruise. I actually enjoy him on screen but suspect he’s got no off button in real life.

And you'd probably have to carry his box around.

lifeonmars100 · 18/05/2025 17:48

I think that to survive as a celebrity in the sense of keeping up your public profile, getting work be it acting, singing, being in reality show crap, or all that endless podcasting you must have a sizable ego and a towering sense of self importance. I reckon that the majority of them must be , quite challenging to live with.

The other side of that is that many of them have crushingly low self esteem.

TheCoralMoose · 20/05/2025 00:11

Carl Fogarty. I hate motorbikes and i bet he has a man cave full of them.
