To think I've peaked after spotting three celebs in one day??!

On a work trip to London today. I spotted:

Hugo Taylor (MIC OG) this morning on the street near Liverpool Street station

James Acaster (comedian) coming out of Liverpool Street station at the end of the working day, AND

(Most excitingly for me) Marina Hyde with her husband, running for a train at Paddington Station!

I’m not even a massive celeb-spotter usually, but this was a personal record. AIBU to think this is peak and it’s all downhill from here?

Can anyone beat that? What's your best day of unexpected celeb sightings?

I know who Marina Hyde is but I don’t think I’d recognise her if I saw her! No idea who the other two are!

Also not sure naming Rolf Harris is much to be proud of.

Why would people Google randoms they’ve never heard of just because a stranger on MN saw them from afar?

Ok so Rolf Harris aside, I have googled them and still not really any the wiser.

They’re barely ‘celebs’ - I mean Marina brings up ‘Guardian columnist’ which is not really celebrity status is it - especially with the absolute shite they’ve been writing recently.

A work colleague of mine who used to be a nurse, once treated Simon Le Bon and didn’t know he was. She also saw his wife at the same time, and thought how beautiful she was.

Exactly this! Though we did see Sandi Toksvig on a barge once. That was v exciting.

I stood behind David and Victoria Beckham in the queue at M&S (Handforth Dean) many years ago, when their first two boys were quite small. I played it cool by grinning like a mad person at the children…probably traumatised them 😆😬

M&S in Handforth Dean used to be THE place to spot Coronation Street and the odd Hollyoaks actors. I remember driving really slowly along the main street in Wilmslow trying to look in my mirror at David Beckham driving behind me.

I remember one afternoon we had Westlife, The Beautiful South, Charlene Spiteri, Depeche Mode, Emma Bunton, Steps, Suggs, E17 and Suede in the restaurant. I even had a cheeky snog with one of them - I’ll leave that up in the air there…!!

My money is on Emma Bunton…

Not what you asked but James Acaster’s girl friend left his for Mr Bean (well Rowan Atkinson). For some reason this feels like a very piece of info to get my head around.
