Slightly light hearted, but I have to say reading the caption ‘A dump of the monthly variety’ has almost made me clam shut.

Please tell me I’m being ridiculous…

The word dump.has been used in this context for years it is nothing new or childish.

Working in an IT environment in the mid 90s data dumps would be taken all the time and referred to as this

Gyozas · 14/05/2025 21:14

Why does he think he’s so interesting that people will have been waiting with bated breath for his monthly photo ‘dumps’? Anyone who attention seeks on social media like that would make me cringe. It’s up there with using “this one”. 🫢

Ablondiebutagoody · 14/05/2025 19:18

Why does he think people give a shit about photos of him? Sounds like a knob.

Well that escalated quickly

Crushed23 · 14/05/2025 21:12

OverTheHill2 · 14/05/2025 19:41

It’s all a bit cringe really, isn’t it?

Is he 23 or 58? I think it matters.

outerspacepotato · 14/05/2025 21:09

My thoughts went straight to the sewer type dump.

fruitbrewhaha · 14/05/2025 21:09

They were talking about it on Radio 1 this afternoon and making a silly joke of it. Perhaps he was listening and got the idea from there. They were seemingly finding it jolly hilarious.

LumpySpaceCow · 14/05/2025 21:08

I thought for a second that he was posting pictures of his giant shits that he was immensely proud of. I'm not into over sharing on social media so either the photos of shit or his general life would both put me off!

BellissimoGecko · 14/05/2025 21:06

I’m amazed by how many people don’t know what a photo dump means!! Mind blown.

JoyeuxNarwhal · 14/05/2025 21:05

OverTheHill2 · 14/05/2025 18:45

Yes, it’s a selection of photos!

Ah phew, I thought it was turd pictures Shock 💩🤣

LaughingCat · 14/05/2025 21:02

TinyTempest · 14/05/2025 18:43

It means he had a big shit and felt everyone needed to know about it for some reason.

This is what I thought he’d done and I was appalled! Disgusted, even 😂 Especially when I read there were photos.

Glad other posts set me straight before I had to barf.

Energydrink · 14/05/2025 21:01

Whilst I cannot recall ever photo dumpling.. I do enjoy other people uploading their photo dumps. I find it interesting

Itsjustgonenoonhalfpastmonsoon · 14/05/2025 20:57

I’ve never heard of this saying. Young people have a whole different language I don’t understand. 😆

PlayerOneReady · 14/05/2025 20:56

Just reply with: “And here’s a dump
of the relationship variety.”

Pinkissmart · 14/05/2025 20:52

I like the photo dump thing.

ItGhoul · 14/05/2025 20:45

If it bothers you, it bothers you. But a photo dump really isn’t a big deal.

youcannaecallherfanny · 14/05/2025 20:44

CombatBarbie · 14/05/2025 19:22

I'm so confused, is it now a social faux pas to upload multiple pics?

Only in MN world

Sofiewoo · 14/05/2025 20:42

ohyesido · 14/05/2025 20:36

@Sofiewoopretty sure that’s an offensive term that you’ve randomly used to pick on someone with

You’re pretty sure “Joey” is an offensive term?

Go on, do tell.

If you thought it was “random” the joke clearly went right past you.

It’s all a bit cringe really, isn’t it?

Why? He’s using social media for its purpose isn’t he?

WooleyMunky · 14/05/2025 20:42

I like that you can drop any photo into GPT and it can tell you to within a house number address distance where and when the photo was taken.

Suedelfinoofwisterialane · 14/05/2025 20:41

What are the photos of? If it’s all the things he’s done this month then I couldn’t get worked up about that.

BTW A photo dump has nothing to do with poo 😂😂 that’s made me laugh though

wp65 · 14/05/2025 20:40

FrodoBiggins · 14/05/2025 18:52

It's very "most excellent of evenings m'lady" /fedora coded so I can see why you got the ick. If he's generally great I would try to ignore it. Tell yourself he's been hacked.

Yes exactly this! Makes me cringe. (But you have to get the context - how the phrase is usually used - to see why this ‘playful’ version is cringy.)

Dvdlove · 14/05/2025 20:40

I've never seen it done. I don't know why anyone would think others would be interested in a dump of their photos for the month, but I don't know what's vile about it?

CrystalMighty · 14/05/2025 20:39

BellissimoGecko · 14/05/2025 18:58

No. No it doesn’t.

I thought the same to be fair.

You did too OP, didn't you? 😜😁

ohyesido · 14/05/2025 20:36

@Sofiewoopretty sure that’s an offensive term that you’ve randomly used to pick on someone with

ohyesido · 14/05/2025 20:34

Oh good heavens. Is he trying to become the new lad baby or worse Man Behaving Dadly?!
