Grim

Changeissmall · 07/05/2025 21:27

It’s an expensive city. Bills included so if they’re doing something dodgy with not declaring it a separate dwelling that could be £500 a month saved.
Alao has parking and two bathrooms and is central.
It’s not that bad.
Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner… 😁

MoominMai · 07/05/2025 21:26

I honestly think surely they’ve just made an error here as the photo, description and price don’t align up with each other whatsoever! 😱

LimitedBrightSpots · 07/05/2025 21:25

Some people are chancers.

Gundogday · 07/05/2025 21:22

The first few pictures are horrible but the later ones are better.

However, Edinburgh is an expensive place. My dc was in a four bed flat share in Edinburgh six years ago and was paying £600 a month (nicer flat).

Pollyanna87 · 07/05/2025 21:22

Landlord can’t even be bothered to get rid of the broken fridge.

If i had the money at the time yes better than the streets.

Would spending £1000 be better though? Obviously any shelter is better than none but this example is an absolute rip off.

Itscoffee · 07/05/2025 21:13

If i had the money at the time yes better than the streets.

I’m sure if you were nearly on the streets, then you couldn’t afford £1800 🤨

Itscoffee · 07/05/2025 21:13

SunnySideDeepDown · 07/05/2025 20:55

For £1800?!

If i had the money at the time yes better than the streets.

Naunet · 07/05/2025 21:11

I hate to be the spoil sport, but it says it was posted an hour ago. You must have found it very quickly.

Deanthebean · 07/05/2025 21:01

That is a fucking shit hole.

Some poor desperate family is going to rent that and have to live in that shit hole because there is fuck all else to go.
Cowboy "landlords" should be ashamed.

Dweetfidilove · 07/05/2025 21:00

I love that it's 'beautifully presented ' 🤣🤣🤣

tillyandmilly · 07/05/2025 20:59

health hazard! Would pay £5 a month to stay there!

BellissimoGecko · 07/05/2025 20:59

Stylish decor?! 😕

Notraintoday · 07/05/2025 20:57

AlanShore · 07/05/2025 20:00

Why are you shocked?

It’s a total shit hole

Neveranynamesleft · 07/05/2025 20:56

Got to be a wind up.

SunnySideDeepDown · 07/05/2025 20:55

Itscoffee · 07/05/2025 20:50

I`ve had times where i would have been glad to sleep in it.

For £1800?!

SunnySideDeepDown · 07/05/2025 20:54

Bright and well furnished?

It’s a fucking joke. I wouldn’t feel right giving that away, let alone asking someone for £1800. The law needs to change.

Gyozas · 07/05/2025 20:51

“Beautifully presented”. lol. Fuck off.

Itscoffee · 07/05/2025 20:50

I`ve had times where i would have been glad to sleep in it.

JMSA · 07/05/2025 20:43

NaiceRedLion · 07/05/2025 20:09

Eh? The first sentence I read was ‘beautifully presented’. Do estate agents sit these having a giggle at these write ups? Like on a serious note, how can they say such utter crap like this?

Worse than ‘This charming property’ and the house in question is full of green carpet and 70s decor. But at least clean and workable

It’s on Gumtree so the landlord can write whatever shite he wants!
This place is an actual disgrace. I mean, I know Edinburgh rents are insane, but still …
I hope he gets many time-wasting and critical replies!

ReadingSoManyThreads · 07/05/2025 20:33

Grim.

You just know from the fact they've posted it on Gumtree that it'll be a shitty Landlord.

Mauro711 · 07/05/2025 20:31

Umm is the backsplash made of tin foil? And the fridge freezer has no doors?

ihavebecomecomfortablynumb · 07/05/2025 20:27

The phrases ‘beautifully presented’, ‘fully furnished’ and ‘stylish decor’ are doing some seriously heavy lifting here.
