Not a good look for our British families The Beckhams’ once-flawless brand and PR machine have finally taken a dent. Will Brooklyn be tempted to write a tell all or speak out, like Harry? Surely the Beckhams have their own skeletons, and you can bet the media will bait Brooklyn until he cracks. Makes me feel somewhat better about my own dysfunctional family. I feel for David though, his 50th will have been overshadowed by his son. Give, give, give and in return their first born cannot put differences aside to attend. AIBU to think that parents who give their kids everything just end up creating entitled brats who are so detached from reality, add little to society and throw it all back in their poor parents faces. should there not be some kind of study, research or guidance on how to stop this happening. The world has enough problems.

There was a thread years ago on here about the schools they went to and someone pitched up and said the kids were dim and parents must have paid to get the kids in. VB read the thread and went nuts in an interview…..I do get though being pissed off to read that sort of thing about kids isn’t nice.

Agree. There was a thread on here by some young woman who got absolutely pilloried quite rightly for whining that the man she shared a house with did not go on social media to say happy birthday. Perhaps he was on holiday or busy, 50 is hardly special is it when you are young and busy. Perhaps he has realised that living ones life on social media is bonkers. Perhaps he thought ooh people will get their knickers in a right twist if I don't go on social media let's see what happens.

Yep agree. In theory, He might be able to pay the mother off and get an NDA but it will be a short time before the child themselves would expose him. They’d be 7/8 already if it were true.

Someone I know worked for a well known event company in London who put on Guy Ritchie’s birthday. The Event Manager in question said David was trying it on with her towards the end of the night. This was pre 2014 as that’s when she told me.

come to think of it, what happened to the Beckham and Ritchie friendship..

TBH I’m amazed it’s taken this long for the proverbial to hit the fan. D&VB completely sold out their kids for Brand Beckham. They never had a chance to be themselves, find out what they liked or wanted - their privacy was never protected…they were a marketing packaged commodity, used in pursuit of their parents blatant greed.

DB has been serially unfaithful - don’t mention Harpur’s teacher who went on maternity leave with a huge payoff and a watertight NDA - they’re so far from the happy family the media portrays.

Sorry what about Harper’s teacher??

Both were born into riches. Neither are very bright nor particularly talented, so won't understand how lucky they are. Perhaps this engenders a mix of entitlement, envy and anger.

I love comments like this. Trying to defy the world of ‘celebrity’ which has been around since before any of our parents were even born. That’s life, they’re in the public eye, press will write and we will read (and talk).

Missing the point of the thread but how on earth do the beckhams square their lifestyle with their 13 year old daughters schooling?! She’s definitely at a school in london (I know which one and she’s def still there) but one of those (many) parties was mid-week in the Cotswolds… ok she could dash there in a fast car post-school but how on earth do you turn up on time and vaguely rested the next morning??! If her parents don’t mind then surely the school would mind as it must undermine them with other parents wanting to take little Josie out for holidays etc?

I realise I’m over thinking this 🤣 but DD is same age and I can’t imagine managing to live this lifestyle!

He has been terribly spoilt. His attempt at photography was shockingly bad and they let him not only put it all in a book but also had a launch party at some very posh place with lots of stars there.
A very fine example of a child never having being told NO.

The reviews for his book of snaps which I seem to remember was called "What I see" were hilarious.
