Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor - you have blood on your hands

Am I being unreasonable to say that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor - the Duke of York and member of the Royal Family has blood on his hands following the tragic suicide of Virginia Giuffre?

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has faced zero consequences for his role in Virginia Giuffre‘s sexual abuse and trafficking because he’s rich and his powerful mummy paid off the victim and the British police failed to pursue charges against him. To be clear, while the age of consent in the UK is 17 years old this does not apply to trafficking victims and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has never faced criminal charges.

He probably thinks he’s got away with it now she’s gone.

The age of consent in America where he first met her is 18yrs..

No3392 · 26/04/2025 14:28

This thread is a cesspit.

She was sexually trafficked at 17 years old. A child in the eyes of the law.

Gods, so many apologists.

I'm not sure you understand the specific circumstances here. She herself has said she was free to leave whenever she wanted, (which she did when she met her husband). She also claims she was paid £10k to have sex with him. She was groomed to think it was OK to accept money to sleep with high profile people. She gave her consent in return for money. The crime here is the grooming of a vulnerable person, there is no indication she didn't give consent.

She actually had to runaway from Epstein to be with her husband.

Trafficked slaves often still get paid…

Looney tunes out in force on this one. He's a thick entitled sleazeball, agreed, but not charged or convicted of any offence. Don't bother with a slanging match as I won't be reading it.

Not being charged means nothing at all. Rape is basically legal in this country with only 3% even getting to court.

whippy1981 · 26/04/2025 14:22

JudgeJ · 26/04/2025 14:15

Not at all but there needs to be proof, that's the law. How do you suggest the law should deal with allegations? Assume that a woman is always telling the truth?

Most do have proof but the quota prevents them from getting to court.

JudgeJ · 26/04/2025 14:15

CuriousKangaroo · 26/04/2025 13:13

Only 2.7% (approx) reports of rape result in charge, let alone conviction. Tell me, do you think that the other 97.3% of women and girls who reported rape are lying?

Zonder · 26/04/2025 14:14

I suppose it depends on whether or not a person believes that VG was telling the truth about PA. I believe that she was and that she spent the evening with him, but I have no idea if he knew she was trafficked which is what her civil case was based on

@2dogsandabudgie I think that's why it should have been allowed to continue, so that this could be investigated and concluded.

LBFseBrom · 26/04/2025 14:09

You are unreasonable and I certainly don't think he will now feel he has 'got away with it', on the contrary it will stir the business up again.

He may or may not have slept with Virginia Giuffre, we don't know, however so did many others and she was paid an awful lot of money many years later. She married and had children.

It is tragic that she took her own life but there must have been reasons for that; she was estranged from her children.

It's possible her husband knows quite a lot, no doubt the gutter press will do their utmost to prize information out of him. So far he's been pretty quiet.

JustSawJohnny · 26/04/2025 14:06

He's a piece of shit.

I really feel for her kids and family. They've watched her go through decades of pain all for it to end so awfully.

Christ, I hate him. That he has the brass neck to roll his useless ass out for state events is an embarrassment to us all.

Karma needs to do better at coming for rich, white men.

Fuck him and all of the toady royalists who excuse his behaviour.

CuriousKangaroo · 26/04/2025 14:06

Mondayblues2 · 26/04/2025 13:00

Virginia had consensual sex with him and made a huge fuss about it many years later. I am sorry she has died, but she made her own choices

She was trafficked. Trafficking vitiates consent.

tothelefttotheleft · 26/04/2025 14:05

”I can well believe Andrew to be arrogant, entitled, not very bright, a poor judge of character, too easily flattered but I do not believe he would have sex with anyone without consent. No-one in his position, with years of being in the public eye, and of the gutter press, would be that stupid.”

@Meadowfinch

Lots of people like him have raped women. They think their fame etc make them untouchable.

Andrew was likely offered sex while there so could hardly offend his benefactor by refusing.

Is that you Sarah?

Oh my god, I saw her interviewed on the Lorraine show about her romance novels, and she kept saying what an honourable man he is!

Doubtmyselff · 26/04/2025 13:54

PiggyPigalle · 26/04/2025 13:32

Yes you're being unreasonable. I think it was the current husband problems and not seeing her children, that tipped her over the edge.
Andrew is a pompous self-entitled git, but I don't believe he went to Epstein's looking for sex. His weakness is money, that's why he was there. Epstein had already given Andrew's wife a hefty sum.
Andrew was likely offered sex while there so could hardly offend his benefactor by refusing. Epstein and Maxwell were a warped pair, I think they would have got a kick out of it.

Virginia Giuffre must have been a strong woman to have fought the case. I can so empathise with her, having her children turned against her. No money can compensate for that.

It is over the age of consent so not illegal.

And is still sex with a minor. It is only illegal if that person doesn't consent or if you are in a position of power such as a teacher.

Saying it is fine to have sex with a child because it is legal is still immoral.

Consent is the other issue in question which wasn't what I was discussing. Anyone who has sex with someone who is forced to say yes and cannot say no is illegal.

I was talking about the age. The age of him having sex with a child. He did have sex with a child.

lifeonmars100 · 26/04/2025 13:50

i am a survivor of sexual abuse by two family members and sexual violence on two separate occasions from two different strangers and there have been times where the only way I felt I could manage the fear, the shame and the way it makes you feel like an object, a piece of meat, a nothing has taken me to some very dark places. There is no linear process that you follow and then come out at the end restored to the person you were or might have been before it all happened. I have a diagnosis of CPSTD which I manage well thanks to therapy and a good support system. My heart hurts for Virginia and while I was shocked to learn of her suicide I was not surprised and I have some idea albiet in a small way of the pain she could not longer live with.

2dogsandabudgie · 26/04/2025 13:49

whippy1981 · 26/04/2025 13:33

Which is still legally a child. You become an adult at 18. So you support sex with children?

I don't think he has faced zero consequences. He's basically lost his job, his home, his social status and become someone that anyone with any sense keeps as far away from their functions as possible.

Everyone is laughing at him and thinks he is vile.

For someone like him that's probably worse than prison.

He'd be as welcome at a ribbon cutting these days as Saville.

For someone like him that's probably worse than prison.

Living in a overcrowded jail with criminals , rats and roaches, yeah, I bet most inmates in his majesty's jails would agree with you, as opposed to a Grade II listed, 30-room mansion with over 90 acres of land. The poor man...

DaysEndConfused · 26/04/2025 13:47

Lifestooshort71 · 26/04/2025 07:24

Has she? Really?

In a manner of speaking, yes. Many of us who have been abused consider ourselves very lucky to be alive. I used to feel suicidal almost every day as an 8 year old. Imagine a child experiencing that.

FrippEnos · 26/04/2025 13:45

NetZeroZealot · 26/04/2025 08:52

In prison. The only person who has paid a price for Epstein’s appalling crimes.

she is paying for her crimes.

Snazzysausage · 26/04/2025 13:45

I seem to remember reading years ago that there was a long and detailed file of undisclosed evidence lodged with Virginia's legal team, presumably in readiness for any future court case. I would expect that the 12 million or so pay off would be conditioned by a non disclosure order, most likely a lifetime one.
I wonder what,if anything, will be revealed now Virginia is no longer with us. A very sad end indeed.

The British police found no grounds to prosecute the Duke of York. I am sorry Ms Guiffre died but it is not Andrew's fault. He met her when she was 17 and he was c.42 (a not unusual age gap, men frequently marry women very much younger than themselves) and they had consensual sex on a couple of occasions. He's a sleaze ball and his mother must have despaired of him. I think Ms Guiffre was both victim and perpetrator of abuse (also a not unusual thing) and I am sorry for her. She monetized her abuse, which I am also fine with, but I also suspect that the mental toll such a view of how she had been used also made her miserable. Let her rest in peace but don't blame Andrew without blaming also Epstein, Clinton, Trump etc who also used her as a thing and the society we live in which allows such abuse to happen and makes it look 'normal'.

Edited

Yes, men frequently marry women when they are younger, but usually at a later point in their lives, and not when a girl is in her mid teens. In this instance she was 17 year old, barely a woman, whilst he was 42 years old. Not good in any way.

What is the correct number of years you should take to get over being trafficked and raped exactly?

Andrew hasn’t been accused of rape or trafficking though?
