Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor - you have blood on your hands

Am I being unreasonable to say that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor - the Duke of York and member of the Royal Family has blood on his hands following the tragic suicide of Virginia Giuffre?

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has faced zero consequences for his role in Virginia Giuffre‘s sexual abuse and trafficking because he’s rich and his powerful mummy paid off the victim and the British police failed to pursue charges against him. To be clear, while the age of consent in the UK is 17 years old this does not apply to trafficking victims and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has never faced criminal charges.

He probably thinks he’s got away with it now she’s gone.

The daughters are demonstrably supportive. Always pictured with him. They had unsuccessfully lobbied both Charles and William for him to be brought back in, to some extent, and retain certain lost privileges.
They obviously believe him.

They have also fluttered their eyelids innocently when milllions of £££ turned up in their bank accounts, and accepted all manner of gifts from all sorts of shady people associated with their parents. They couldn't care less. Neither do the rest of the Royals

Indeed, so why aren't there multiple other accusers in that case? VG would hardly be the only one, would she?

London's Metropolitan Police said they were not conducting any new investigations into Prince Andrew after a 2016 deposition accusing him of groping a woman's breast was released this week. The deposition was among hundreds of pages of mostly unredacted documents related to Jeffrey Epstein unsealed this week under the order of a judge in a now-settled defamation case brought by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's victims.

In the deposition, Johanna Sjoberg alleges she was groped by Prince Andrew in 2001, when she was 21. The allegation is not new, and BBC News reports Buckingham Palace previously called her allegations "categorically untrue."

Sjoberg says she met Andrew when she was brought to Epstein's home in New York in 2001 by Ghislaine Maxwell. Virginia Giuffre, whose lawsuit accusing Prince Andrew of sexual abuse was settled out of court in 2022, was also at the house at the time.

Sjoberg said she initially didn't know who the British royal was, until Maxwell took her to get a caricature puppet of him from a BBC show. Then, she said, she sat on Andrew's lap, while Giuffre sat beside him on the couch with the puppet in her own lap. The group took a photo with the Prince Andrew puppet groping Giuffre's breast, and Andrew himself groping Sjoberg's.

In an excerpted transcript from a deposition of Maxwell released among the documents unsealed this week, she seemingly confirmed the existence of the puppet — which she called "Not a puppet. I don't know how you would describe it. A caricature of Prince Andrew that was in Jeffrey's home." When asked about the incident Sjoberg described, she said, "I don't recollect. I recollect the puppet but I don't recollect anything around the puppet," before saying again it was a "characterization of Andrew."

Andrew is literally a paedophile and sexual predator.

Evidence?????

Extiainoiapeial · 26/04/2025 16:30

Maybe we could just think about the victim here, Virginia Guiffre.

She had a difficult early life, she was promised all sorts by a woman who is serving 20 years in jail for procuring young girls for Epstein
Of course she would be wowed by Andrew being Royalty, and anyone who thinks he didn't even meet her, needs to have a head wobble. He blatantly lied in his car crash interview about when he cut contact with Epstein (court papers show this) and whilst I don't hold him responsible for what has happened to Virginia, he was part of the problem, rich influential white men taking advantage of young girls. we have to remember that she fought for trafficked victims tirelessly. And it is a tragedy that her life had to end like this

I never want to see Andrew:s stupid face ever again. Unfortunately his family still embrace him, I imagine they think he hasn't done much wrong.

SoNotaRealHousewife · 26/04/2025 16:23

What a sensationalist headline and then language such as “ the ginger one”, a job at the DM is waiting for you

A very poor show using this woman’s death to try and score points against the RF, although not all together surprising

I hope she now finds the peace that she couldn’t find in life

And note it is not just about this one incident in london re Andrew

Andrew spent years touring Epsteins various homes in New York , Florida and elsewhere

Indeed, so why aren't there multiple other accusers in that case? VG would hardly be the only one, would she?

Except he paid her off so it’s hard to believe he didn’t rape her.

BTW having a thread on MN isn’t what being a vigilante means.

That's simply not the case.

Reaching a legal settlement is not an admission of guilt, and they are very common, including employment law cases which are regularly settled with no liability accepted.

With Trump in power even if Charles was minded to cut him loose, which I'm sure he isn't then it would be a non-starter. Being pilloried in the court of public opinion is the only redress that scumbag will ever get sadly.

I'd be very interested in the Trump/Epstein connection personally...

Prince Philip had more royal blood than the Queen did in fact!

Quite. He was certainly no commoner. His mother was Princess Alice of Battenberg and his father Prince Andrew of Greece.

BlueSpikeyPearls · 26/04/2025 09:31

She would never have done it, had she not been abused. It's one of the worst things that can happen to a child and, no, I do not care that the age of consent is 16. She was still a child and Andrew is a damn pedophile.

Check out what a "paedophile" is for future reference.

How do you know "she would never have done it"? Clearly her personal life has been troubled in recent times. You have no idea what was going through her mind!

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 26/04/2025 16:15

NorthWestToWest · 26/04/2025 09:27

I think that is unfair.
There are several members of the RF who are in fact commoners.
Catherine, Sophie, Camilla and 'Fergie'. Even the late Prince Philip was a relative commoner, albeit with distant royal relatives in Greece but he had a terrible life as a child passed from one family to another and arrived here almost as a refugee.

They bring influence. I think William is especially sensitive and will change the monarchy for the better in some ways.

They all do the best they can given their position, for various charities.

You can't ignore the Prince's Trust, the D of E award, and various other charities that they have established or are patrons of.

This thread is a cesspit.

She was sexually trafficked at 17 years old. A child in the eyes of the law.

Gods, so many apologists.

This this this

I haven't got the stomach to read this thread to be honest but I do know because it has happened in the past, there will be Andrew apologists there will be posters saying she knew what she was doing, there will be posters saying she was 17 so she did what she did of her own free will. And there will be plenty of posters saying endlessly Andrew wasn't proven to have slept with her. Without going into great detail because I could go on forever, he knew where he was, he knew what he was doing by just being that among very very young girls, and anyone who supports him really should take a long hard look in the mirror.

It makes me sick. People really need to read up about trafficking. You can be 30 and be a trafficked victim.

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 26/04/2025 16:10

Ukisgaslit · 26/04/2025 09:16

@JandamiHash

Dont hold your breath waiting for the Windsors to do anything re Andrew.
His right in the ( corrupt) bosom of that family and going nowhere
As far as the Windsors are concerned Andrew’s only crime was being caught

The only thing the Windsors are busy doing is name changing on mumsnet to spout royalist nonsense

Kidding!

What's this silly "kidding" shit?

You may have failed to notice but the Queen already dealt with Andrew. He is no longer allowed to perform any duties. He can't use his HRH. He had his military and other patronages removed, and the king has since taken his security away.

He remains the king's brother however, and it's an invidious situation for Charles. It seems that Andrew is still allowed at private family occasions (bar the Coronation) and I think that is right. Presumably the family believe his insistence of innocence.

What more do you want? Shot at dawn? Sent to the Tower?!!!

Rest in Peace Victoria.
We heard you and we saw your pain.

Bet there won't be much on the news today about this, given that it is the pope's funeral and all media attention will be in that.

Who's Victoria??!

JandamiHash · 26/04/2025 09:10

A horrifically sad event, and it really shows that even the strongest of survivors can never ever escape their demons. Her poor family.

Now it’s time EVERYONE was named and consequences were delivered.

It continues to horrify me that although a woman is in prison for sex trafficking, not one man has been identified as her client. How can you jail as sex trafficker without naming the people she trafficked victims to. It certainly wasn’t just Epstein.

Whichever powerful figures are protecting the rapists, including Prince Andrew, needs to stop now, and the full force of the law needs to be imposed on every last one of them. Get the fucker deported. We know what he did. And I hope Charles fully complies in whichever way it takes to ensure this happens

Don't be so bloody dramatic!

You don't know what he did. You know what you want him to have done and that is very different!

Why did she only go after Andrew? Apart from Dershowitz and she had to admit in the end she was wrong about him. Kind of shoots the credibility down doesn't it?

He has a medical condition resulting from PTSD sustained in the service of this country

Lol

It's really sweet that you actually believe any of the princes were in service in the way that actual servicemen & women are in service.

Check out Andrew's service in the Falklands before you post shit like that!

Apparently she was hit by a bus, & survived. 4 days later she was said to have committed suicide, when she always claimed that she was not suicidal.

Watch your back Harry!

MagdaLenor · 26/04/2025 15:53

Does anyone know the actual amount paid to VG? I've heard £3m and £12m. I've looked it up just now and it says "an undisclosed amount".

ClareBlue · 26/04/2025 15:53

And to expect the Royal family to be anything but immoral, entitled sleazeballs is delusional. Literally all Royal families in history have been immoral. They do anything to hang onto status and power. Marrying off child brides to cement alliances, killing and ruining people that threaten their power, including family, abandoning numerous illegitimate children, locking away disabled children, telling lies and blaming others, the list is endless. This lot aren't any different.

thepariscrimefiles · 26/04/2025 08:43

£12 million is an awful lot to shell out to stop bad publicity if you are entirely innocent. If this had gone to court, Andrew would have had the best lawyers that money can buy and if he had done absolutely nothing wrong, it would have been a great opportunity for him to clear his name.

I presume that you think that his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein was also all above board and a genuine friendship and that Andrew knew absolutely nothing of his (proven in a court of law) crimes?

How could he clear his name? It was his word against hers, and it was years later. I can't imagine it would have been easy to produce actual evidence.

He's a piece of shit.

I really feel for her kids and family. They've watched her go through decades of pain all for it to end so awfully.

Christ, I hate him. That he has the brass neck to roll his useless ass out for state events is an embarrassment to us all.

Karma needs to do better at coming for rich, white men.

Fuck him and all of the toady royalists who excuse his behaviour.

Why being colour into this?
There have been some awful case of rich black music stars being abusive.
I think your very real prejudices are coming through there.

A rare potential misstep from the late Queen I think. I can understand them wanting to avoid a potentially embarrassing, revealing trial. Particularly after that News Night balls up but did they they not realise that paying to make this disappear is always going to look a little shady.
Perhaps it just seemed like the lesser of two evils.

I'm not arguing with your last point btw, I don't know and I don't claim to. It's just the payout that I find a bit of a sticky wicket.
