Dating 13 years younger

Female almost 53 dating a 40 year old man. Both have a 10 year old DD. Could it work long term with the age gap? What do you think? Is it too big an age gap?

Yes, I would say it could work. Once you have kids - it's more 'life stage' than 'real age'.

Meaning with DD's the same age, they will be into the same things, choosing schools, similar hobbies etc. Not that it should be all about kids but if she was 40 and he was 27 single, career driven, disposable income - let's go to New York to celebrate my new contract and then you have to say - not this weekend DD has a gymnastics display .....

Well I am going through my menopause but def not going off sex. I kinda worry what he sees in me when he could meet someone his own age. I do normally prefer younger men as men my age don’t always look after themselves

I've seen it work and I've seen it fail.

Normally due to the woman going off sex quicker than the man when the age gap is fairly big and she's the older one.

But then I've seen that with couples the same age anyway.

Give it a go!

Not at this stage in life. 13 years is a lot when one person is very young but I don’t think an age gap like this seems large.

Yes when we are together you wouldn’t know there was a 13 year gap, we are very similar in lots of ways

My DH was 15 years older than me and it worked fine for us.
We had a similar lifestyle, out look .
Imo getting the right personality match is much more important than a age match
